I visited the hostel many times over the last years, because it was the most alive and diverse place in miles. I could write novels. To the positive things: Community spaces are nice, outdoor kitchen is nuts, evening parties are awesome during summer season, the place is a magnet of interesting travellers. The toilets are pretty exposed to the whole lobby, such are the showers. Not so nice for anybody, who value privacy. Also be prepared to have very alive nights during summer season. But the hostel adapted to this kind of travelling style, which is fine. But don't search after comfy day-off nights in those packed rooms. Staff is friendly, but just the girls. Really amazing. Also seem nervous in front of the manager guy, who has some intimidating moods. But change is the only constant, especially in this hostel. Still I like the place and will come back.

Without a doubt the worst, and most expensive hostel I've ever stayed at (though I heard the price ($30/night) was due to a festival in the city). In the shower, balled up toilet paper and other gross things. Plus only about 40 seconds of hot water. The linen was nasty. The cheese in the morning was off. There is one bathroom for the entire hostel right in the middle of the lobby and everyone hears everyone do everything. And there is one sink for the entire hostel, in that bathroom, so while everyone lines up to brush, everyone hears whoever is inside doing their thing doing their thing. Really, the place is terrible and dirty. The guy at the front counter was nice though. Also, the walls they put around the bunk beds to dampen sound, so that's cool.

The hostel just reopened when I got there. The new room is very well done and the mattresses are very confortable. The staff is great and they like to spend time with their guests. The others guests were amazing as well. We had a great time together around a BBQ. However I would not recommend you to stay there if you are looking for a quite night in.

I had an amazing time at this hostel. I went for a day and stayed for 10. All the staff were extremely nice and hospitable. There was always a nice atmosphere where we would all make food and have some drinks and just talk and enjoy company. I think that this is a must stay at place if you are in Plovdiv. It is a very social and nice place, with a great atmosphere and great people!

Good vibes in the hostel, the atmosphere felt very good. The location is perfect, in the middle of the old town. But the hostel seemed a bit dirty. Sheets didn’t smell fresh. In the dorm itself there was no place to put the bags, which made people put their things everywhere. Breakfast was simple, nothing special. When we arrived there was no one in the hostel which made us climb over the fence and wait for the owner to arrive. Toilets weren’t any private, seemed to be separated by sort of carton. Over all: would not stay here again.

If you require a decent internet connection for your work, buy a mobile data SIM if you're going to try staying here. A middle-aged 'provocateur-in-residence' from Ireland makes enjoying the place a real challenge.

Nice place in the center of the city, in the old town but also next to the new part. Good prices, good people and nice ambient inside. Definitely a great place to stay if you are not overly scrupulous with cleaning :)
