    This is the worst Cafe Rio location I have visited. I have been here a few times with less than great experiences, but today takes the cake. We went in about 45 minutes before close. There were 2 or 3 people working when we first walked in, then after the line for longer, 4 more people appeared from the back. They were out of all specialty drinks, some fountain drinks, sweet pork, and taco tortillas. They were actively making large tortillas but they were triangles. Lettuce was swimming in water which made anything it came on soggy, food was cold, and the bathrooms were gross. The only good part about our visit was the lady cleaning tables. She was kind and thoughtful to bring us more napkins when we were out.

    Normally I don’t like to leave reviews because I don’t want to be a Karen. I love the food here but every single time I have ordered here nothing has been 100% correct. They charge you for extra dressing, sour cream, etc.. but fail to include it in your orders. When I called to speak to someone regarding the issue in hopes for a refund on the extras I purchased and did not receive, I did not get an apology or anything of the sorts or even the option to come back and pick them up. The lady was very rude and I could tell just didn’t care which is why I am writing this review. Customer service needs some work. And a lot of it.

    I have eaten at this location 3 times in the last 90 days through the drive through. Every time without fail they manage to completely forget part of the order. The portions are a sad excuse for the price of 2 tacos getting 6 small pieces of steak for 2 tacos is extremely sad. Not to mention the employees couldn't be less interested that we are there. Hear me out I don't expect anyone to bend over backwards through a drive through but please at least put what I paid for in the bag, especially considering I tip well. EVERY TIME. Probably safe to say I'll continue eating at costa vida instead! Oh we also asked for pinto beans and I was shocked to see black beans in both plates 😅

    went through drive thru, girl at speaker wasn’t very nice when ordering. pulled up to the window she basically handed me my food without saying the total or confirming my order. i get home we start eating and we found a piece of cardboard in our sweet pork burrito, normally we would just call and ask to speak with a manager but when we called the manager only thing they said “i’m sorry the only thing you can do is make a complaint.” and that was it, we have had multiple mess ups in our orders in the past and just have ignored it, this is something we aren’t going to ignore. we won’t be coming back to cafe rio. $31 on a quesadilla and a cardboard burrito.

    I ordered Nachos! They are so salty!! I couldn’t even eat half! (See photo) I got a sodium headache instantly! Even the guacamole 🥑 was salty! How much salt do you add to the guacamole? Someone from this location or the District Manager needs to respond to me. I am so disappointed because it was just to damn salty!! I am almost gagged!

    I ordered the burrito and selected the mild salsa, but we received none. Which is extremely frustrating cause it is the one item that you can order to even get salsa. I ordered the two taco's and switch to corn tortillas and requested no cheese. I got flour tortillas and cheese. I ordered the salad and requested no lettuce. It had lettuce. On ALL orders, none of the rice was cooked. It was still hard and crunchy. But the best part was in the container with the tortilla soup. I freaking BUG. ALIVE. Running around on the tortilla strips and cilantro. Absolutely disgusting!¡!¡ I have pictures but I don't see where to post them.

    Picked Up Orders The food is delicious but the service has gone downhill. From being what I'd call a 5 star place in dropping this down to a 2. Ordered our food at 715 online but at 750 we still don't have it. YET. People who came in the store after I showed up at 730 when the food was promised are getting served before me. Almost 15 minutes before. 755 and just leaving. Wow. The manager on duty, Landon, didn't seem to care that the food ordered online was that delayed. I'm extremely disappointed. If you go here don't order via web or Doordash it, your order will be extremely delayed. --- AND to boot.. one of our orders was entirely wrong when i got home. Guess I'm dropping it another star.

    My wife and I tried it here once a few months ago. We live nearby. I felt like the restaurant has a neat idea going, but their food execution and food quality was pretty bad. We haven't been back since. Seems I'm not the only one taking time out of their day to point out the problems at this location. We share the same sentiments as the previous folks on here. For all the lip service and responses here from the Manager on these Google Reviews you'd think the reviews would be improving? At what point do you just fire the management, maybe the whole team and start over with new staff and fresh training? At what point do you stop with the wasted breath and start issuing refunds to the customers for bad food and unsanitary conditions? Sooner or later a Regional or General Manager will read this. I think restaurant managers forget us consumers, we decide 400-800+ times a year where to eat. 1-2 times per day we have an opportunity to decide to eat out at your establishment... every day. And if we've only eaten at your place once in a year... you probably aren't doing your job. That's 40 Million decisions to consider eating at your place per year for a town the size of Pocatello. 40 Million chances to serve each of us. Not including visiting tourists which inflate that number. Now you're establishment isn't as bad as Costa Vomit over there by Lowes. But you aren't much better either. I hope you all can find it in yourselves to start taking pride in your work and your food and facilities and clean the place up... and start serving food that's worth giving 5 star reviews for. Good luck to you all. With some effort, you guys could pull off a turn around. Or if you're just coasting... well, that's what pink slips and firings are for.

    Disgusting trainers!!! I asked for an extra sauce cup and the guy learning was so polite but the guy training was very pretentious about teaching and I could tell the trainee was embarrassed when he messed up but the trainer didn't help anything.. I just want my food cos I was hungry so I didn't say anything or I'd have said leave the guy alone he's trying? but I think management should be more patient with new employees because when I sat down I over heard "were gonna learn the portions and they were teaching about how much meat or something goes into whatever but as I over heard it was just degrading and unfortunate to hear someone be talked to that way. I used to like this place but it really lost its charm after covid.

    It's a shame.. this place has great potential. The food in general is pretty good. Unfortunately this location is not. We first dined in and the customer service was awful, just very rude and didn't really have any idea how to treat a paying customer. We asked them to cut a burrito in half and they looked as us like we were aliens. Proceeded to mutilate the burrito with plastic knife because they "don't have regular knives". Umm.. how do you cut the meats? Then we thought we'd try and order delivery and see if there was any difference. Almost every order was wrong, and there was a bug in one of the dishes. Pretty sure it's safe to say we're done with this location.

    Had a to go order and my tacos were so over cooked they were uneatable. I have had good meals here in the past, but it is hit or miss. Cannot let food go out like this just because they are to lazy to remake it.

    *Be mindful they might add a tip in the drive through without asking* I have read Facebook posts about this location adding a tip to the drive through orders so I have always been mindful to watch my receipt. Myself, my family and my office eat here about 4-6 times a month. Today I went through the driver through and ordered two salads. I wasn’t asked to leave a tip and the total sounded higher than what it usually is. I get the same thing often. The cashier did not put a recipe in my bag which is unlike them so I circled back and walked in to get one. It took that cashier a while to reprint and give to me. He seemed very nervous and as he walked towards me to hand me the receipt he folded it multiple times. I opened it and noticed the added tip. I was not surprised. I went back through the line, asked for the manager which apparently was the gentleman making the food in front. I pointed out my issue and he informed me they can’t refund a tip so he gave me two free meals. I went to show the cashier the receipt and the manager told me I didn’t need to involve him. I have eaten here often and I am disappointed this finally happened to me. It makes me question how many other people have had this done. I know it’s not much but it makes me feel violated. Unfortunately you have lost a family and office full of customers.

    Normally I would give a higher rating because I like the food. But I was astonished at the price of one sweet pork salad for 19.00 dollars. I did order a medium drink. Needless to say, I'm not sure I will be back.

    I'm quite disappointed in my meal. I got this delivered via doordash. Even though I ordered chips and salsa with salad, I got the salsa but they completely forgotten the chips. Also I paid extra for the grilled chicken and most of the chicken bits felt hard as if the grilled part was so crispy that it felt like I was eating carbon. I ordered without the tortilla as the base but man..the lettuce on top was so much that I has to really dig deep just to get to the main course (picture I took was after getting rid of a lot of the lettuce) I really wouldn't recommend this place and I should have seen the reviews on here first instead of the ones on doordash. Looks like others are having bad experiences at this location.

    Ordered a pork burrito. No pork was in it. You can tell they tried to add pork but only sauce. Disappointing to not get any protein when you pay that kind of money.

    They serve very little amount of there food and flies allover the restaurant and that place is Nasty .Never eat again there . They give like three little piece of steak in my steak Tostada order . I payed money fo I guess rice . No meat at all

    the food is good which is why i keep coming back but honestly it’s becoming more and more work to go back. i ordered a chicken salad last week and ask for no pico and no guac. i have an allergy. when i opened my salad there was pico and guac. no problem i went back and asked for a new one, but today i asked for a chicken salad (same no pico no guac) and it didn’t have the pico which is great but there was also no chicken?? that’s like one of the main ingredients?? genuinely every time i go in i have to go back and get something remade and it’s getting really exhausting

    Went through the drive through and the kid taking my order was entirely unpleasant. Rude, short, and when I asked if the sweet pork had any spice to it, he just replied "it's sweet pork, so..." As though that answered my question. He told me he couldn't put sauce on my burrito, I had to get it as a side and do it myself. When I asked for it to have cheese and enchilada sauce on the top, he said they don't do that, despite their online menu offering it as an option. Finally, to top it off, they forgot a couple of items in my order. Overall a terrible experience. Avoid this location, you are better off going anywhere else.

    We drove up to the drive-through to order and placed our order with the boy taking our order being very rude and short with us even though it was a simple order. When we got to the window he gave the amount and I handed my cards over. He took the card and before running it said, “The system is asking how much you want to tip” and gave me my options. Seriously, very tacky. I don’t mind tipping but refuse to even customer service is this horrible. I told him I prefer not to this time and he was visibly upset. Handed me my card and threw our food together. When he handed us the bag he quickly slammed the window shut. When we opened the bag down the road we realized that they had barely given us and filling in the burritos and the nachos were incredibly stale. We threw it away. I will never return to this location. Management needs to jump in and do some quality control.

    Food is good most of the time. The big issue that I have is that in order to make sure your order is accurate, you have to place your order in store and watch them make it. I have had issues with ordering thru the app, and thru the drive-through with accuracy many times. So much so that I will not use the drive-through or the app when eating here.

    Theyre great here. I've only had one time where my order wasn't right and when I called they were more than happy and willing to help me out. When I went to get my fixed order, the employees inside were kind, polite and funny.

    The food is bad, the service is worse. I ordered through Uber Eats and they didn't pack chips for chips and cheese. I called and got a national call center rep who was worthless. He couldn't even give me a refund. If you're thinking of ordering, go to Taco Bell instead. TB is half the price and twice as good.

    Weirdest vibes of all time. The food was flavorless, dry, and not worth eating or paying for. Did not taste like “cafe Rio”. The poor employees seemed absolutely miserable. The seating area was covered in buckets because of flooding even though the building was recently remodeled. Idk y’all, bad food and bad vibes.

    I really like the burritos with steak, and enchilada style! The tortilla chips are so yummy and perfectly crunchy. We always get the queso with the chips, it is so good! I really enjoy the handmade tortillas and the portion size of the entrees! I will regularly come here because the service is prompt too!
