With all the agencies in Nepal it’s hard to decide which company. Search no more! North Nepal Travel & Trek is the one to choose! After a 20 day trek in Manaslu region with another company, we wanted to do the Three passes trek in Everest region. Luckily, we were in Pokhara and we went to North Nepal to get information. As soon as we got in, we felt a true connexion, and we had the full attention from the owners/employees. They were so patient, they answered every question we had and they offered the best price/quality option. We were blessed with Mohan that arranged tourist bus transportation from Pokhara to Chitwan and back to Kathmandu. As for the Everest region trek, he chose the best airline company and he chose an experimented guide for us, Mr. Zeewan. Zeewan came to meet us in Kathmandu, gave us all the information we needed for the trek. Zeewan is the perfect guide, we felt safe with him and he made everything go smoothly. He always respected our pace, he took pictures for us, he cheered us, and he’s knowledgeable, knowing all the mountains we passed. We met Binaram, our porter, in Lukla. He was our superman, we had a lot of fun with him, always smiling and patient with us. I got altitude sickness and I followed all Zeewan instructions and tips to get better and it worked fast. He’s not only a good guide, he’s a super coach and athlete. He did the Three passes trek in 5 days in 2017. He can also coach for ultramarathon training! Zeewan and Binaram, we succeeded the Tree passes trek because of you, and we are indefinitely grateful to have experienced it with you. Back in Pokhara, Mohan was kind enough to check on us to see how we were doing during the trek. When we finished the Three passes trek, he delivered us certificates, t-shirts and traditional Buddhist scarf to congratulate us. So thoughtful. We are more than happy with our experience with North Nepal and will recommend to family and friends.

We booked our guide and porter with North Nepal for our Annapurna circuit trek. Mohan was super helpful in helping organise our trek and responsive in communication. Our guide (Bishnu) and porter (Ganesh) took care of us throughout the 14 day trek from Dharapani to Tatopani. They made sure we have an enjoyable, fun and most importantly safe trek during these days. Bishnu also shared a lot of local knowledge, culture and customs that we wouldn’t know of if travelling without a guide. Both are kind, honest and go out of the way to host their guests. I strongly recommend booking with North Nepal.

We completed a 5 day Annapurna Base Camp trek with North Nepal Treks and had a fabulous time! Communication with Mohan before the trek was excellent, and we felt well-prepared. Upon arrival we were picked up and met our guide (Shiva) and porter (Don) and made our way to the start of the trek on a long jeep ride. Typically Annapurna Base Camp is done in 7 days or so, so we knew 5 would be aggressive. It ended up being more difficult than we anticipated (especially living at sea level), but Shiva did an outstanding job keeping us on track and setting expectations. I feel like we really lucked out getting both Shiva and Don as both were *outstanding* and far exceeded my high expectations. With 25 years of experience in the mountain, Shiva seemed to know everything and everyone. We were always staying in the best accommodations and receiving the best meal service. At one point my wife had a small bout of stomach illness at Annapurna Base Camp, and both Shiva and Don were extremely helpful in navigating a stressful situation (she was ultimately fine hours later and we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise view at the top!). Don was also frequently helping us out with various tricky hiking areas, and in taking many amazing photos. We also got very lucky with weather and had perfectly clear views each day. After a long five days, we made our way back to Pokhara, and at Mohan's office they even arranged for a surprise anniversary cake to celebrate our 3rd anniversary (which occurred on the final day of our trek)! I had mentioned our anniversary casually to Shiva, and it was so awesome they thought to do this! At some point we will come back to Nepal and do a longer trek, and we will absolutely be doing it again with North Nepal Treks, and requesting both Shiva and Don if they are available to go lead us once again. Everything went extremely well and we are very, very happy with out experience. Everyone at North Nepal Trek's office (including Mohan himself) and our guide/porter were simply fantastic.

October 2022 we did a trek to the Annapurna Base Camp. During that time the flow of tourists in ABC was overwhelming. However we booked the hotels through North Nepal and i would like to thank them a lot. Without them the trek would have been so much difficult. This was my third trip to Nepal, so I can compare. North Nepal Travel And Treks – very good tour company. Organisation of our treck was exellent. Lalu - the best guid! He is very professional, pleasant and, in total, like a caring nanny. Tho porters - cheerful, attentive, also very caring. When I had a health problem on the route – they acted immediately and very effectively. They not only quickly took me to the hospital and accompanied me there, but also promptly changed the route for the rest of the participants, so everyone was very satisfied. I wholeheartedly recommend this company.

Raj was our guide for the Manaslu circuit trek from October 13-25, 2022. He was fun, personable, knowledgeable, emphasized safety, and we recommend him fully. With his experience on expeditions and treks across Nepal, he can support you in any adventure you wish to undertake. Our group was 2 people, and we organized the trek through North Nepal Travel & Trek (office in Pokhara). We carried our own bags and hired Raj as a guide. Raj is an excellent guide in every criteria. Things Raj did that we were impressed by and thankful for: - detailed pre-trip briefing to prepare, build trust, and make backup plans in case of changing conditions - great English language skills - Gathered local updates about trail conditions after a late-monsoon event destroyed parts of the trail. Kept us updated and safe as we navigated the reopening of the trail. - Answering all questions we had about local environment, culture, religion, and history — thanks for your patience Raj! - Honest and no-fuss communication, direct and no problems - Detailed nightly briefings for the next day, including highlights and what to expect - Emphasis on team cohesion - Extensive experience with wilderness safety. He provided good advice for staying healthy as we moved into higher altitudes - Fun attitude and personality, made the trip really fun - Took extra good care of us, making sure meals were prepared on time, often serving and bussing our table - Great with logistics, always making sure we got the best room for the night - Assisted with our purchase of local bus tickets and organizing a jeep from Tilche to Besi Sahar on our way back to Pokhara during a busy Diwali holiday (in time to catch the local bus from Besi Sahar to Pokhara) - Taught us some Nepali words on the way, which really improved our experience and made for good interactions with locals Overall, Raj was the perfect guide for our Manaslu Circuit Trek and we recommend him for any trekking or expedition you’d like to do in Nepal. I booked Annapurna Base Camp trek with North Nepal Treks. The overall experience was WOW. Booking Procedures - Quite simple. Spoke to Mr. Mohan and confirmed the dates - 18th Oct to 27th Oct. ( Kathmandu to Kathmandu). Booking was very simple. Accomodation / Food - We were put in good hotels throughout the trip. Kathmandu Garden Home in Kathmandu, White Pearl in Pokhara. During the trekking, the tea houses booked for us in Chomrong, Dovan, MBC, Deorali and Sinua were quite descent considering the altitude and terrain. The menu in all the tea houses were same and food was reasonable ( Dal Bhat , Toast, Eggs, Noodles and soup) Simple and no side effects. Guide - Bipin was our guide and he was extra ordinary. Extremely helpful always smiling. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we were very comfortable during the entire trekking. Will highly recommend Bipin. Porter - Basanta was outstanding person and was incredibly nice person. Very very very helpful. Overall trip was very memorable and we will cherish this for many many years to come.

They are very caring, welcoming and knowledgeable folks. It’s only 5th day of our 16 days trip and are very impressed with everything. I spoke to Mohan before arriving to Pokhara via WhatsApp and he gave me a good feeling. He sent me detailed itinerary which was quite in line with my wishes and when we met he further tailored the trek and also introduced me to my potential guide Raj. Raj made a good first impression and also read some reviews about him from others. I decided to go on a 7/8 day private trek with him around Ghandruk and then into lower Mustang. Raj was on top of everything from the start, I hardly had to think for myself and could just enjoy the trek without having to worry about anything (except the "adventurous" bus rides maybe). Raj was kind, fun to hang out with, very knowledgeable and made me feel very secure in whatever situation we ended up in. Raj is great with all sorts of people which really helped with meeting the locals. He was also very transparent and correct with regards to finances which I appreciated as I opted not to take the complete package but just hire him as my guide. Finally, Raj was patient, integer, always excited/optimistic, saved me from numerous leeches(more important than it may sound), very flexible and really made sure the tour was in line with what I wanted while disregarding his personal preferences. I can't recommend Raj enough and very much hope to trek with him again in future.

We did the Manaslu + Tsum valley trek (17 days) with Raj Rai in April 2023. The agency owner Mohan was extremely helpful. We had a great experience, and our guide Raj was amazing. Here is why: - Raj's English is great - Raj is very attentive and talkative, yet also has a great respect for privacy and personal space. Very socially intelligent and nice to be around. Raj solved everything calmly and elegantly and he even solved conflicts arising in other trekking groups when necessary. - Raj is very aware of atmosphere and hygiene when selecting accomodation. If the kitchen is questionable or the food is simply just taking too long, he'll jump in the kitchen and cook himself, for you and even for other clients (he is a chef and had his own restaurant a few years back) - Raj was thorough in briefing us every evening and having a "how was the day" meeting. He was genuinely interested in our experience and wanted our feedback, whether good or bad. - Raj explained local culture and customs underway, and also gave us a lot of extra info about Nepalese culture, politics and social problems, as he could feel we were interested also in knowing the less fortunate stuff about Nepalese society. - Raj was very aware of safety. He has experience as a climber and is more than competent enough as a trekking guide. We felt very safe walking with Raj over the 5100 meter high Larkye La pass in terms of avalanche danger and altitude. Overall, we'd recommend Raj to anyone :)

Fantastic experience overall! I did two treks with B Peen in November 2021 (Kopra Ridge and Mardi Himal). The experience could not have been better from start to finish! Moane (the owner) spent a lot of time carefully designing the route based on my interests and the weather forecast. Then I was superbly guided by B Peen. He clearly loves guiding tourists and knows everything and everyone in the region. We had the most friendly welcome in each logde thanks to B Peen friendly and super positive demeanor! At the end of my trip, Moane also booked air tickets back to Kathmandu for me at a significant discount vs. internet prices. Highly highly recommended! Thanks for everything guys!

We were staying nearby this agency and dropped in to enquire about a heli flight to ABC and our possible options for a short trip from Pokhara to see the mountains having just arrived. We booked the heli flight and were not disappointed by the whole experience! If you have the dollars, do it! Then Mohan suggested a 3 day/2 night trip into the Annapurna Conservation area, which sounded perfect for us..a Jeep to Ghandruk and then a 2 hour walk to our lodge where we would stay for 2 nights and do a day hike from there on day 2. Well, from start to finish we could not have been happier to have Mohan as our guide as well! His care and attention to detail was exceptional, from the local driver he chose for our Jeep ride, to our room at the lodge, photos and the choice of day hike to suit our fitness and interests. Everything was spot on! We would highly recommend his services if you are planning time in and out of Pokhara. He is very professional and thoughtful, asking questions to understand what we wanted, rather than sell a generic package or something that didn’t suit our needs. We are already hoping to return next year for a trip to another region with him.

We went to Dhorpatan hunting reserve for a two week trek with Shiva! He was our guide, he was really kind and knew a lot about the area. We felt really lucky to have such a kind and fun guide. We will be contacting Shiva again for our next adventure in Nepal. Also, the people in the office were professional and knew a lot about the area we were travelling to. Don't bother to find somewhere else ! Mohan will organise everything for you for a fare deal! Best agency i've used in nepal and i visited Nepal 3 times in 10 years. We recently did the Annapurna Base Camp trek with North Nepal Travels & Treks. Their services were really good before, during and after the trekking. They sent us all the information needed and answered the doubts we had. In the end, the team asked us what we enjoyed and what we didn’t. The trek lasted 7 days with accommodation and meals included. Our guide, Buddhiman, took care of us and told us many recommendations. For instance, what to eat or not to eat in the mountains and which places to see. He also knew what to do in certain moments thanks to his great experience. As well, he was flexible on where to sleep according to our rhythm and with what we needed.
