Very nice park for camping and birdwatching. Quiet, maintained, beautiful. Clean bathroom/shower. Occasional nature programs.

Such a great family-friendly hiking/camping spot. An easy go-to for getting our kiddos out on a trail. Fantastic bird-watching. We ran into someone who said he counted 43 different bird species in one day!

Went for a feild trip. Had an amazing time. The staff and volunteers are very nice and kind. The camping facility seems quite nice. There is also plenty of space for all sorts of activities. Only thing that was bad was the overgrown weeds in the oxbow lake.

Just off the main road is a small parking area with a trail and bridge the leads into a pasture-like walk. There was an overwhelming amount of grasshoppers at the beginning of our walk. We heard 3 cranes before we saw them. Make sure you wear good walking shoes. The farther you go, the more peaceful it gets. Our walk lasted about 30 minutes with a dog.

We camp here every chance we get, extremely quiet and has quite the cozy feel which makes a perfect relaxing get away that’s still close to home. Matt and Shelly (campground hosts) do a great job and she keeps the bath house cleaner than any campground we’ve been to.
