I bought a cage and bird deal, spent $300 and the bird died within 3 days. We have other birds so we know how to raise them. We did everything right. We are also very loyal customers and have spent a LOT of money in the store. The best they could do was half off on another bird. I don’t want to buy another bird from you considering this one died within a week and you offer nothing back to your loyal customers. The manager Ken, is absolutely amazing and did everything to help us out, but the owner is good for nothing and clearly only in the business for money. I won’t go back and I’ll let everyone I know how dirty they are. Which is super disappointing because for years, I did nothing but talk good about this place. To the owner, keep Ken. He is an asset and the only reason your store is thriving.

I like the place and I believe they have good prices and a reasonable warranty. Also I have been to many breeders and pet stores and in this place you actually see the puppies clean and happy. The only thing I need to bring up is that they do put the puppies up for sale when they are not ready to go home. They need to do a Vet check up and vaccinations and if they haven't done that they will still sell the puppy and hold it until they finish that process. They don't have a problem charging you right away, but if you need to wait 2 weeks for the Vet process you get stuck waiting. In other words buy or lose the puppy because the only way they hold the puppy for you is if you buy it. So you are buying a puppy blindsided waiting on the result and hoping for the best while you keep waiting. Also they get upset if you ask for updates or questions about the process, If I'm purchasing I have all the rights to inquire. That needs to improve by not putting up the dogs for sale unless they are ready.

Everyone was super nice and friendly and answered all of our questions we had when getting our puppy. ☺️ I would recommend coming here if looking for an Animal. They get all their animals from local breeders only. And they are reasonably priced!

Not a good place to buy worms for beared dragons. They sell you stinky dead worms. Called and ask them to replace and manager replied back saying check them next time if its kids at the counter to check them. Which I feel that if they work there, that would be their job especially when they keep them behind the counter. They told me to bring them back. So I did and they just hand picked some that were barely moving from all the bad ones and that was my replacement. Do not recommend this pet supply store. The "kids" need training in friendly customer service!!!

This is the place! Dogs, birds and other animals for sell. They have a huge variety of pet supplies. If you want to see this bird in person it’s by the dogs on the right hand side. It talks!! I say it bc I don’t know what it is.

Cute store with just about everything needed for pets. We purchased a little fur baby here just over 13 years ago. She passed over the rainbow Bridge a couple months ago and my wife and I it was time to fill the empty void in our lives and this was the first place we thought of. We now have a new little fur baby that we have given a forever home too and she loves all the attention. The cats are adjusting to the little ball of energy as she roams around the house. The cats by the way, one was a gift to my son, the other was a shelter rescue, they got new collars. In short Pet World is a very nice pet store with good customer service.

I would never take a bird here for grooming. We had a very bad experience. Long story short our bird was injured from a nail clipping. We ended up at the ER with her the next day😔 I would only go to Just for Birds for grooming. Just for birds is free and amazing. This store only good for bird merchandise.

The place is berry clean , They have dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles and birds for sale. It has a wide assortment of food, medicine, and grooming utensils. I loved it..

Just looking around this awesome pet store, and I saw a beautiful blue, red Betta fish swimming in a big jar of water, at the check-out stand. He said take me home with you! So I did. Blu loves his new home too!

Be mindful of what you buy at this pet store. Because when it’s time to return something with your receipt, they still go back and forth with you. A lot of people I know have a hard time returning items here, but I had to learn the hard way.

Always so interesting. They tend to have more exotic pets than most stores. theyr' feeders are cheaper than most places. Definitely worth going to.

The people here are very friendly and knowledgeable. We get bird supplies there because they have a very good selection for bird food, toys, cages, etc.

My family absolutely loves this place!! Ken & the entire staff are so helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. Our pet birds came from here & are healthy & thriving. They even offer free routine wing clipping/nail trimming with a in-store purchase. I also buy our dog food here. We will ALWAYS come here for our pet needs!

Love this little local store. My kids always want to go look at the puppies and pet and play with them. Something for all little critters from all walks of life. The friendliest staff! Pet adoptions and surrenders can be done here. We have a large array of animals in my home and there's always something for each of them. Check them out!

I love this store anytime i come in the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. They let you hold all the animals and are very helpful with giving information. They have beautiful birds here. And really cute puppies! Highly recommend checking out for pet needs or looking to add a furry friend to your family.

Ok so I go to a lot of pet shops for all kinds of pets. This place is kinda crazy expensive on all there supplies and live pets when they have live pets. Don't get me wrong they had many but a lot of tanks and cages were empty. But they are so high on their prices especially on say fish and fish are risky as is. And they cover their butts on the death policies. I should've waited when I seen some species dead, acting not quite right and a couple tanks had easily visible ICH, but was not quarantined. But dude that was working alone that day was super fantastic in every way so I didn't mind as much but honestly it's just too expensive on everything there.

I have been going to pet world for the last 4-5 years, since I was 13/14 years old. I’ve bought a hamster, fish, and a puppy from here years ago. Me & my mom was told our puppy was going to be hypoallergenic and have minimal shedding, which he does not, as he’s just over 3 years old now, but it’s not a big problem or why I wanted to make this review. Why I wanted to leave a review now is because my boyfriend lives in Lake Alfred and we were planning on getting a puppy, kitten, or small animal from here. I already have a guinea pig and anytime I have to buy food I tried to buy it from here, which I buy bulk, spending about $70-$100 at a time just on guinea pig stuff, about every 2 months. My boyfriend and I have been coming here once a week for a few months, and we usually don’t buy anything unless I need something for my guinea pig or we need something for our fish tank. We also had plans to support local and purchase dog/cat supplies (food, toys, collars, etc) from here. Well, the last time we went in to look at the animals they have, I don’t know if he is the manager or owner (bald, white, looks older, was wearing grey shirt) made some kind of “joke” along the lines saying if we stay in here for an hour again we’re going to owe him money, basically a smart comment about us coming inside and never really buying anything when he happens to be there. He also started following us around the store, as if we were stealing. Now, me and my boyfriend are never really bothered by anything but this really rubbed the both of us the wrong way. I don’t feel comfortable going inside knowing that just because we come inside often and don’t make purchases every time, he is assuming that we’re stealing. I have always love Pet World and make the hour drive from Sebring just to support them, and visit anytime I stay at my boyfriends house. Due to this situation, I don’t think I will be coming here unless I need something very specific and know they’re the only place that has it. I know we are only two customers out of thousands that they have and they won’t be loosing a lot of business, but I just wanted to come on here and say something. I don’t expect a response either, it’s just greatly disappointing knowing how we’ve been treated here and how long I have tried to support Pet World.

The people in PetWorld really care about not only the pets but the owners. Our son is deaf and even though they don't know sign language the worked with him at great length making sure he understood and would be successful with his many different fish tanks. I can't express how grateful and thankful I am for a business with such caring individuals. THANK YOU for having high quality products and an AMAZING staff

Purchased a puppy from this place. Spent a small fortune for what I got. I took the puppy to the vet 3 days later. The puppy was extremely skittish and mentioned it to the vet. She worked and examined the puppy and asked me where I had purchased it. She then said the pup more likely had come from a puppy mill. It is almost a year old now and it is still skittish. Oh yeah, he had worms also. I would not recommend this place for purchasing any live animals.

They have everything you could possibly need or want for different kinds of pets. Selections of items better than chain stores. Fun experience to visit!

Been going to pet world for almost 30 years. No more. Every time somebody buys a gift card for me to pet world I cringe knowing that pet world will not honor it. Today the kid tells me the computer was down. And yet I could still pay credit or cash. He called a manager but that seemed odd that the manager was not in the store on a very busy Sunday afternoon.

Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable about our puppy I just purchased from pet world. So far everything has been good with her she’s the sweetest energetic Pekingese puppy!

They do have a fairly good selection of animals and animal products if you're interested. They even have a pet bakery. I love visiting but rarely do because of either lack of selection of necessities or prices.

I saved a bird from the middle of the road and took it here for some necessities and to find out what kind of bird it is. They were very knowledgeable about birds and helped me get just what I needed to care for it. Highly recommend this store if you are considering getting a bird. Also, they had tons of cages to choose from.

Lovely people and pretty good prices. Would rather go here and support them than PetSmart. Our new dog is named DUNCAN btw if anyone fr the shop remembers him haha

Was rather disappointed with that pet world. They did not have products that they said they had online. They did not have much to choose from at all. I wouldn't even waste my time going there again

This place is amazing! They have lots of stuff and lots of pets. It can be a little pricey but the quality of the goods are there and the customer service is top of the line. Me and my wife call this our happy place! I highly recommend this pet store!

They mistreat the animals. I told multiple employees that where standing behind the counter they had a stressed out hamster that needed something to chew on. The hamster was chewing the caulking of the tank it was in. They just laughed and walked away. Unacceptable behavior for care takers of these pets
