Very Worst Banquet Hall Setup In Pollachi Ever. My Cousin's engagement was held on there. As I was coordinating with them I am giving the review based on my experience Firstly let me start with Positives (its just few so I don't want to put more effort on writing those): 1) They Have Very Good Backdrop Organizer so backdrop was awesome 2) Food was Delicious (Price was Reasonable and Menu Can be Modifiable) 3) Function Hall and Dining Hall Setup Was Compact 4) Lift Facility 5) Responsible Event Manager (he did his best) Now Negatives (They have only Those): 1 Worst Food Serving ( Inexperienced Food Serving Boys from their catering agencies they do all their chitchat only when guests are in front of the table. Even someone from Bride's side instructing them to serve better they won't listen. At last the Event Manager came and he served the guests) 2 AC Hall (They say so): During the event everyone felt like we are inside oven since the AC was not functioning. There was AC malfunction but it started to work only after the engagement ceremony completed and when we starting to vacate the hall. 3 Restroom Is in Third Floor (We know this while we booked itself as we thought its short ceremony and this point is not a big deal but our assumption was wrong and our guest was questioning why you booked Hall Like this. So my advice would be consider this point and Reject Surya on your first screening itself if your planing for family function where old people and ladies crowd will be more). 4 Pathetic time management (My Guest were drinking Welcome Drinks while they came to say bye its just example for their time managing capability ) 5 Owner ( He is super busy so whenever you go to meet him he would be getting 100s of Calls and he will listen to your words half mindly so he would be giving nice offers at that time and will agree to what ever we asked but once when he is free he will recollect what we said and comes to know that what we asked would be less benefit able to him so when you go to meet him next time he will put some rules and will be standing the point he said this already for example when I met him first time he said hall advance would be 8k but when I met him to pay advance he said it would be 10k, for the first time he said as you booked hall for 100 members if 10 members came additionally we won't charge extra like that but when I going to settled the amount i paid for 108 members. So his priority would be monterrey benefits and not customer satisfaction ) 6 Pricing ( After all this Chaos still he charged 10k(I paid 8.5k after lot of arguments) for hall boosting that his hall is fully air conditioned ). You may feel like my review is too personal and my experience like AC repair may be due to my bad time but my point is, management running banquet hall like these must have guts to accept the failure outcome and act accordingly. In this materialistic world atlast everything would be point to money so they need to charge accordingly if any chaos happened from their side. My conclusion would be if you are going to surya hotel for food surely i would recommend you but if you are trying to book surya banquet hall for your home function then think 100 times before you book it. In a short book this hall unless you don't have choice.

Not the best place for briyani, but everything else is worth indulging yourself in. They cater for both vegetarians and non vegetarians, and have several options for both. Chicken 555, bun parotta are some of their unique dishes. Their cozy ambience makes it perfect for friends and family.

The place has some decent options for lunch/dinner. Tried the non veg meals,chicken fried rice and plain rice with mutton columb. The non veg meals had different options of non veg gravy. There was no other veg sides or anything. Just rasam. Mutton curry was a bit spicy. Fried rice had decent taste too.The quantity was huge and could feed two people. However, their service was extremely good.They served food in banana leaves,which is a really nice gesture The parking was also sufficient. The bathrooms were also neat and clean

Don't try to make customer as a fool. Worst response from hotel management. Even I called and registered a complaint and waited their response but no one call back again. Worst experience I faced ever. Please dont choose the hotel. There is no -ve mark in review so chosen one ☆. I never recommend to my friends and travel dudes.

Suryaa hotel is on the highway itself with sufficient parking space and easy to locate. They have a meeting hall as well on the first floor. The hotel maintained well and clean. The food is good and tasty even though it's bit spicy. The staff are very good, the only minus point is the owner of the hotel ( or who ever is sitting in the cash counter) he doesn't know how to behave with bis staff while customers are sitting. He doesn't even mind calling his staff while they taking the order and shout at him like anything holding the customers behind.

They gave us rotten chicken in biriyani...which tasted awful and smelled very badddd!!!!!! I dunoo how ppl can give such food to customers. When we complained...they neva bothered !!!! Food poison happened afta that. Sucha bad hotel and management.

Good family restaurant for non veg lovers . The ambienece and quality of food is amazing . Even the waiting time was not so long . The staffs are also so good . The non veg meal of 150 consisting unlimited rice , chicken curry,mutton curry, egg curry and boiled egg masala, rasam ,curd,papad and a chicken stripes.which taste good . Briyani was ok to have . Chicken 65, tandoori, fulka, tandoori roti was tasting amazing , Had a complementary rose water which was just average . Worthy for money

Can try once. The starters are good but not worth the price. Biryani is not up to the mark, if you are a biryani lover I will not encourage to order a biryani there. Ok ok kind.

Totally disappointed with the taste and pricing. Unhygienic atmosphere. The waiters are not loyal to the management when it comes to billing. Overall it is better to avoid and the management should look into the business to run it properly and satisfy the customers..

Quality of food and ambience is good.but chicken Biryani which was charged nearly 200rs have only one leg piece..nothing apart from that..really??..Surya pepper chicken charged 220-the worst one ever I had in my life..come on..is this how you provide?

Once we were asked to wait for 2 hours for Paneer chilly. Taste was bad even after waiting for two hours.

The bullet chicken is very nice.too late to serve food. I would say the price is a bit higher than other restaurants in Pollachi but the taste is a little less than that.

Washrooms are not clean, biriyani is okay but chicken pieces are very less. Chilli chicken is flavoured with more colours. Over all not up to the mark.

Briyani is excellent. Good for starters. Soups are taste wise good and thick which can be made thin. Breads are also soft and good.

Food quality is totally different when you dine in and take out.. Last two times the food was disgusting and the meat seems very old.. Their quality have gone down significantly

Yuckiest hotel in Pollachi... We always avoid this place because they have no quality standards...but today kids insisted we go to a new place...ordered chicken fried rice and the chicken was dry and like rubber(old chicken smell)...they removed all our plates and gave fresh plates and bun parotta...wow there was cockroach in it....did not want to make a fuss and ate avoiding that side of the plate...after almost 4 hours feeling so disgusting about eating the food...save yourself avoid this hotel

Tandoori and grilled chicken items are too good here, and biryani is not much great. The ambience is excellent parking facility is available. Best place for family dinner.

This place serves the best mutton biriyani! Always in love with their biriyani. I have been eating at this place more than 20 years and they have never failed me.

Booked the hall for my engagement. Worst maintenance, often they disconnected the power supply and they stopped water supply at toilets. No proper response from the team. Only advantage was the food was delicious. Think before booking the hall and enquire properly about the facilities.

The quality has gone down way too much. Chicken 65 was not available as it was almost 3 PM but pepper chicken is hot and ready and it was just a plate of dry chicken with lot and lot of pepper. Atleast they agreed and cancelled it but the mood was spoiled.

Good taste and reasonable price, need to improve the quality for zomato orders since most of them are not good like we take food in restaurant

It's a multi-business spot. Had an association meeting here. Later dinner was served hot except for the chicken. Rooftop is for partying. Had headache attending the meeting for three hours straight!! They need to fix the airflow inside!

Same as the other Surya hotel. Food quality is good and consistent. Never had any stomach issues. Non veg meals is good for the price. Other items are little expensive.

Food was good but way too costly. Shell shocked to see the bills. Plain biryani costs 150 which is just 80 anywhere else. Will never vist again.

Ambience and food is OK. However the the price mentioned in menu is not billed. When asked the response was standard, they are old pricing and needs change was response, yet over pricy.
