Hillsboro Lighthouse Museum

Tourist attraction Museum

👍👍 I stopped at the Hillsboro Lighthouse Museum on Verteran's Day to buy my favorite one year old her first birthday gift. The volunteer working on the holiday was funny and informative. This museum is free and delightful. The merchandise for sale supports the Lighthouse. Even though the space is small... People often mention lighthouse, Lighthouse, park, museum, Great, nice,

I stopped at the Hillsboro Lighthouse Museum on Verteran's Day to buy my favorite one year old her first birthday gift. The volunteer working on the holiday was funny and informative. This museum is free and delightful. The merchandise for sale supports the Lighthouse. Even though the space is small, they offer a lot of unique and fun items. If you are going to visit the Lighthouse, you should pop in here too! I highly recommend this free museum.

Not only is the lighthouse amazing . The entire park is gorgeous and you can sit and have a barbecue and there is a kids area as Well. If you walk under the underpass you will see A parking area and there is fishing charters for $60 for 4 hours for adults and $45 for kids. Across the street are many restaurants as Well all well priced

Nice museum lots of Lighthouse history. Being a former US Coast Guard Lighthouse "Keeper" I was disappointed I could not get to the light tower due to the fact acces to it is through private property. Only accessed once a month by boat!

You have to download an app to pay for parking. We used the Passport app. Nice view of the lighthouse. The ladies in the gift shop were very nice. Good selection of items for sale and interesting things to look at. The restrooms were clean. If you actually want to visit the lighthouse itself, make sure and look up when the tours are.

Nice historical place to visit with friendly informative staff. Nice inlet park attached. Tours of the nearby light house are only done once a month for a fee.

Excellent spot for Sunrise pictures of the Lighthouse and/or boats entering and leaving the Inlet. Small parking lot with paid meter parking spots are available.

Was on a motorcycle ride with a friend. Just a quiet peaceful beautiful place to stop and rest. Lots of outdoor seating, pavilions, restroom, right on the water. Great views

Can't see the lighthouse up close because it's "private property ". You have to be part of the club. Although it doesn't mention that at all on the website. There is a small park across from it with benches and a playground though.

Great little park and best view of the Hillsboro Lighthouse. Sit and watch boats go out; fish. Play area for kids. Picnic tables and restrooms. It has everything including a gift shop!

Step inside the museum to learn Hillsboro Lighthouse. Friendly staff are eager to tell visitors about the history of its structure and its surroundings. There are a number of historic artifacts on display from the Hillsboro Inlet area. There is also a gift shop with an array of one-of-a-kind finds. Check signage at the museum for upcoming scheduled visits to the lighthouse itself.

The place was nice and clean and had plenty of places to fish from, clean restrooms close by. There were also several areas and tables to clean fish on. There were more than I’ve seen at a place like that and I thought it was great to have that many. It can busy with boats but the boaters were respectful of those fishing.

Make sure you check before traveling. Only limited number of tours, not cheap, because it's behind a private community gate. I took my son, seeing they were open until 3pm. We drove 40 minutes in S. Florida traffic, only to find out the only boat/ tour on the weekend left before we got there... at 12pm... My son was very disappointed.
