This
dining
experience
was
utterly
ruined
by
the
appalling
service.
Admittedly
we
did
not
book
in
advance
so
we
had
a
table
outside,
right
at
the
end
of
the
row.
However
we
gladly
accepted
this.
We
then
had
bread
and
water
delivered
to
the
table.
We
then
had
to
ask
for
menus,
then
ask
for
drinks
before
waiting
a
further
35
minutes
before
anyone
came
to
take
our
order.
The
wine
list
was
34
pages
on
an
iPad
plonked
in
front
of
us!
We
ordered
a
bottle
of
Rose
and
a
glass
of
red
wine,
which
arrived
in
about
10
minutes.
The
wine
was
opened
with
due
ceremony,(
including
sniffing
the
wine
cork)
and
poured
into
three
of
our
glasses.
Despite
having
purchased
the
bottle
it
was
taken
away
by
the
waiter.
My
wife
then
pursued
the
waiter
into
the
restaurant
to
inform
him
we
had
purchased
the
bottle
so
could
we
please
have
it
back
at
the
table.
Food
arrived,
which
to
be
fair
was
good.
I
asked
for
another
glass
of
red
wine
-
10
minutes
later
it
hadn’t
arrived
so
we
asked
again.
Another
10
minutes,
it
still
hadn’t
arrived.
When
it
did
I
had
finished
my
meal,
so
I
sent
it
away.
The
whole
episode
was
largely
down
to
the
incompetence
of
a
new
member
of
staff,
but
nevertheless
one
has
to
question
the
level
of
training
this
person
has
received
and
how
well
they
are
supervised.
This
restaurant
purports
to
be
more
upmarket
and
towards
the
fine
dining
end
of
things
-
it
needs
to
ensure
its
staff
are
of
equally
high
quality!
