My family and I had a traumatizing, horrible experience at the La Quinta in Ponca City Oklahoma. The managers Tara and Noah Clegg are irresponsible, unprofessional and downright aggressive and degrading. Six members of my family including myself traveled 2,000 miles to attend my niece's wedding in OK. We traveled from upstate New York to Oklahoma. When we booked the La Quinta they advertised they had an outdoor pool. This was important to us due to the Heat. When we arrived on Friday August 5th there were signs the pool was down. We immediately asked about it and we're told it would be up and running in 15 minutes, as they were checking the chemicals. We went up to our rooms unpacked and got into our bathing suits. The temp outside was 102. We planned on spending the rest of the afternoon and evening enjoying the pool. We checked again with the clerk and we're told Tara and Noah went to get the chemicals from Lowe's???,and the pool would be open soon. We walked out to the pool and it was GREEN!. We had been lied to and now saw the pool would not be ready anytime that day or that weekend. When Tara and Noah returned with the chemicals they got out of their car screaming at us??? I told them they were irresponsible managers and there was no way this pool was going to be ready anytime soon. Tara began screaming at us telling us to get out of her hotel and that she was calling the police.( we have pictures and video) We questioned her reasoning since we did nothing wrong except wanting what we paid for and expecting the clearly advertised pool to be clean and available for guests. She then again screamed at us that she was calling the police , screaming for us to get off her property. She clearly did not do her job and was kicking us out for expecting it. I called the La Quinta and Wyndham corporate office but they were No Help! When the police officer arrived Tara began screaming at him to get us out. He was very polite and professional. None of this made any sense as we did nothing wrong. We decided we had to find another hotel as this was Totally Unacceptable. Now, there are six of us stranded in Ponca City Oklahoma with no Hotel. We had no choice but to make the decision that Tara and Noah were out of control and we were done being verbally abused. When we decided to leave, I politely asked for a full refund since we did not stay here and we're being kicked out for no reason. She told me she was going to charge me $900 instead of the original $700 ???and I would not get back a dime. This situation was borderline abuse. It was so unprofessional and humiliating. My heart-felt review is DO NOT book here, as the managers are irresponsible, irrational, fraudulent and verbally abusive.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Or if you do, DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING........................... Management will retaliate...... Checked in last night, got a dirty room. Given new room, had people inside room when I opened door. Got 3rd room, and it was acceptable. Asked front desk for management to contact us regarding the issues. Management refused to speak with us. Leah, sent out her husband to speak with us, which is NOT employed by the property according to La Quinta Inn/Wyndham customer care. Wife contacted Wyndham CC, and now Leah's husband told my wife she is no longer allowed to talk to any staff, or management, and has to talk to WCC for anything, simply because we just wanted to talk about the issues we had checking in. I called WCC, got to speak with a supervisor, to see if I can get towels, extra blanks, etc. And I'm told that I have to talk to the on site staff. Advised them that per Manager's Husband, we am not allowed to talk to staff, or management, so how are we supposed to get anything done ? The WCC Supervisor again says that we need to speak w/ site management. We checked out and went to Holiday Inn Express and Suites, and are having a great time there. Got our first room. IT WAS CLEAN, smelled great, and a lot bigger than the 3 rooms we were put in at his hotel. What a shocker..... Also heard that Leah likes to argue with people on Social media, about her management style, or anything said about the hotel in general. If you don't want people to complain about your site, don't be lazy, contact the people back when you are requested to. OH!!!! And the fact that the manger's husband kept putting his finger up to shush my wife.. I really hope the Hotel owner gets some new management in there.. And fast.

It is 12:15am on a Friday night, room 101. Back door is right outside the room. The door is broken and does not close slowly, it slams shut every time. It literally shakes the entire room every time the door closes. We called the front desk to get a resolution and they said there is nothing they can do, so my fiancé said we want a refund and he said he can’t do that. My fiancé has seizures. He has had a rough day and needs some rest. If he does t get rest, they get worse. The loud sound can also startle him into a seizure. This is absolutely ridiculous. If they can’t lock the door or fix it they need to not rent out the rooms near the slamming door! I’d give a zero if I could!

There were several of us that were staying at this La Quinta for a wedding. My sister is a disabled American Veteran and asked for a room on the first floor and was put on the third floor. My daughter and I were supposed to have rooms next to each other we had already reserved them she was put on the second floor and I was put on the third floor. Two other people had reservations for two nights each they had to check out after one night because LaQuinta messed up their reservation and they were booked solid. The management didn't care to hear about the issues and did nothing to resolve anything. I will never stay there again!

Rooms are super nice cool comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was awesome! Only bad thing about the whole trip was the pool was green, so there was no swimming.

Clean rooms, quiet in the evenings, great breakfast with scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, cereals, and of course, the always present waffle maker. The staff was helpful, courteous, and patient. We have stayed here in the past and will return.

The rooms were pretty good, and the breakfast was decent. I stayed two consecutive nights and had problems both nights with the door key not working. Only once the first night, but I had to go downstairs to the front desk four different times the second night to have a key reworked. Also, the elevator was not working, and the ice machine on our level was not working.

Price was $50 more than it said online for the room (not talking about taxes). The room was super small and dirty, the shower was clogged and wouldn’t drain, the pool had no water in it, and they stopped serving breakfast 20 minutes early.

Another example of "everything is fine except for one glaring issue." The internet here is literal dailup speed, and keeps disconnecting completely. For example, it's disconnected five times while trying to post this three sentence review. Fairfield and Comfort Inn are literally right next door, there is no reason to stay here. Addition: I'm not just piling on, but now that I think of it I've also noticed this rooms literally smells like old piss about half the time. I have no idea why it comes and goes, but when it comes it smells like a kids bathroom were they peed all over the floor and didn't flush and it's been sitting there going stale for hours.

No maid service. 2 of 3 ice machines not working. TV not working. Staff regularly away from front desk. And if you complain, their first reaction is to threaten to throw you out. On the plus side, the breakfast buffet is nice.

I've stayed here a few times before this is the only time I've had any problems ... First the TV wouldn't connect to the satellite and the employee didn't know what it was . Someone unplugged the box behind the TV cabinet. Then we had a roach crawl across the TV cabinet and a bee came out of AC unit

All I have to say is WOW!!!! The staff here is friendly and is willing to help in any way that they can. Great service. I fell in love with our room. Plenty of pillows on the bed. Bed is soft and comfy. I feel like a queen. The room that we have is very spacious and so is the bathroom. I also love it here because of their continental breakfast. I also feel safe here. Family and friends come here. I know that it's a little pricey but it's so well worth it

Finally a hotel with some good coffee. Live the hotel life when I travel for work. A nice, comfortable bed is a big plus after a long day. Clean room, clean sheets and pillows.

Got in late. Sign on the desk said “if you need me I’m in the kitchen”. Found the lady in the kitchen cooking hamburgers. I checked in. During the process apparently she was face timing someone. During check in our interaction seemed ok and normal. I went to get some food and when I came back apparently her husband was here and told me if she had any more issues with me he would ask me to leave. He never told me he worked here. I was not mean rude or crude. Watch this place her husband is threatening.

Dirty, room 315 floor was soaked from ac, ok I can deal with that, but used kleenex in ice bucket, used coffee filters, in coffee pot, found a bracelet dropped over a lamp, clearly housekeeping sucks!!! And does not clean throughly.

Would have given this place a better rating, but I woke up to find bed bugs crawling on me and up the walls. Absolutely disgusting! Make sure to check the beds before you sleep! Our mattress was full of urine stains as well. check in was smooth, room was fine, pillows sucked. only got 1 towel to share between 4 people. Pool was beautiful and clean. Fitness center was a bit small but clean and handy. Breakfast was from 6-9, went down at 8 and they still had some good options available. Overall an okay stay, but the bedbugs were definitely enough for me to not be returning.

I had made reservations through Wyndham as I'm a Wyndham rewards member of many years. Like always they tell you that your card won't be charged until check in time, I had a 12hr drive so I can attend a family members funeral. They ran my card 4 times which declined , and charger me declined fees. I did not add funds to my account because I wasn't supposed to be charged until arivie. When I made it I showed them about the fees and asked for discount. They told me that they would leave a note for management about this. The management said no and left it at that. This is very disappointing and very unhappy with the management and how they handled this .

This is a fairly new hotel with a very nice ambiance. The staff and service were excellent. The room was large and well appointed with a great bed. The included breakfast was much more than expected. The available options were numerous and well prepared.

Great, clean rooms and facilities. The price was also fantastic. The only thing I think was lacking a bit was the breakfast. They were out of a lot of things (this was at 7, only an hour after breakfast opening). There was not much left to pick from, but we made do. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again if I happen to pass through, hoping that the breakfast situation was just a one-off circumstance.

What a great place to stay with a great price. Full breakfast not just waffles and cereal. Room was spacious and had a great bed. We will stay here again.

The hotel was super nice for the price but we specifically chose this one after confirmation the pool was open and usable, the night we arrived people were utilizing it when we went to bed we figured after breakfast we would swim a while, after changing and going down we were informed the chemicals were off and it wouldn’t be open. The exact reason we decided this hotel.

Management leaves something to be desired; that being said the housekeeping staff is excellent, and accommodations such as bedding, comfortability, free breakfast and the overall experience in the room I thought were awesome!

The staff here made me and my 2 fur monsters feel like family after making sure they had treats to give them as they returned from their daily walks. They got spoiled at the previous places so they have begun to expect it. But one thing they really enjoyed was all the extra attention that they got (belly rubs, scratches and game playing). Thanks to all of you for making our time there a lot nicer. I have to tell you that the pups are already missing you. 😞

The breakfast buffet wasn't maintained staff eating buffet meals before guests had eaten from buffet, There were deceptive practices with charges, The WiFi or broadband didn't always work and I needed it to do my job using video conferencing, It was unreliable causing me to lose two video clients! I wondered why the staff were allowed to eat the breakfast items up to an hour or more before the breakfast hours had ended. Premium items for breakfast were gone by the time I got there or not replenished even though staff were eating them. The assistant manager denied this was occurring but I witnessed various staff eating breakfast items and filling their plates. I saw the front desk staff, the housekeeping staff and even the maintenance guy eating from the breakfast buffet way before it was to close in the morning. The people at the front desk had excessive and long visits from family and friends. Had to ask for their attention to get assistance. Head of housekeeping visited with her newborn grand baby and other family for over two hours on my third day there, They were at the front desk the entire time so it was not difficult to notice the duration. Assistant manager in car outside of property for long periods (over an hour even) of time talking on his cell and smoking. Manager, Leah, is his girlfriend and she isn't much better for customer service or for focus on the property guests. She was seldom at the property as it was always her boyfriend there instead. Other than the housekeeping, the staff were lazy and stood around talking or spending time with their friend or family visitors. Assistant manager also at front desk after I had checked in on the 24th. He had a noticeable black eye and appeared hungover which he did most days. He admitted to me that he had gotten into a recent altercation. Very unprofessional and the face of the property! In retaliation to my complaints about the broadband and the housekeeping staff not working with me on a time in between my video conferencing to empty my garbage and change linens on of my two beds, the management comes up with the need to charge me for cleaning and towels. The assistant manager said he was told by the housekeeper that I had told her that my dog pooped on the floor. This was incorrect and the housekeeper although very nice, had a language barrier. I had to explain things over an over as she was Spanish speaking and obviously English challenged. I had told her how I appreciated that if my dog had to poop that she went on the tile by the toilet. She took that as me saying that my dog pooped on the floor. This was my fourth stay and I have seen the management deteriorate as well as the hotel services. The first cleaning charge of $100 on 5-2-22 was in retaliation for complaining about the broadband not working and complaints directed at the housekeeping supervisor. The second charge on 5-6-22 of $250 was in response to my negative Booking.com review. The assistant manager responded online to the review basically saying all of my complaints were false. I stayed at this property for 10 nights with a checkout of 5-4-22.
