It's a great campground BUT paying for a site then having the park ranger tell me to move my car so a camper can park there. The family pulls up and there kids are NOT supervised they are going through our stuff.... WHY BECAUSE ponca wants to make a few extra $$ Why have someone pay for a spot THEN TELL THEM TO SOMEONE ELSE CAN BE THERE TO!?!?! I WILL NEVER NEVER COME BACK

We had a great stay here! Our Truck Camper fit nicely into the site - which had electric! - and we had the whole place to ourselves. We were here in the middle of the week, so it was nice and quite. Loved having access to the lake, which we paddle boarded on to go play frisbee golf. We also biked to the MTB trails. Showers & bathrooms were nice enough too!

Requires you to buy two sites. One for tents one to camp on. Park patrol has additude. Make sure you get a receipt for all transactions with him. Or just dont come here . Pretty lake not worth the hassle of dealing with dishonest park patrol. Also one mens toilet. And it stays plugged the whole weekend.

Great place for camping, and family fun! The beach was also a great experience.

Park Ranger was extremely rude, all tent sites are on a slope, trash everywhere. Parties going all night. Nothing good to say about this place

Very hot, yet cool, with my fiancé. Camping with electric hook-up. Clean, quiet with the natural noises of God's beautiful creation.

View of the lake through the trees. Close to town. No dump station. Plenty of shade. I'd come back.

Nice place and not over crowded

Had to camp here because Kaw lake camp grounds were closed. It was dirty and not maintained well. It's not tent camper friendly. Limited tent campsites due to saving spots for RVs, they said due to the RVs needing the common area spaces. I Assume it is because RVs pay more lot fee? As an out of Towner I'll probably not camp here again.
