Nice place with good ambience.. unfortunately Never had any good experience there with police guards and officials.. officers with criminal behaviour are guarding this place asking for bribe and reward from passengers travelling.. Atmosphere of many wonderful places in Karnataka are spoiled by corrupt police officers like these.. you can even watch them begging to tourists and goods vehicles for more bribe ..

Road between Kannur & Mysore. One of the coolest forest roads. Its never crowded. Its never closed. Sighting wild animals are there but much less riskier than other forest crossing roads. Lets not pollute this place and be careful for all the animals and birds habituating in this area.

I had very bad experience from this check post. KA polices were not allowing us to go kerala border without any proper reason and they were behaving very bad.

Worst ever forest guards placed there. Illiterate ones with no basic sense. I don't know how Karnataka even recruit these kind of idiots. I'll never come back here.

If they allow people to spend some time admiring Elephants will be great, if someone can control the traffic to avoid congestion. Dedicated parking and restrict people only till roadside will be great.

They collect money from other state vehicles as a cleaning fee. Why are Karnataka registered vehicles exempted from paying the 'Cleaning Fee' ? Are the occupants in those vehicles a special breed? Do they not litter? Such nonsensical move.
