Wonderful! The service was outstanding as was the food. I orderd a steak dish which had a wonderful sauce and unique fried potatos. The sparkling water was impressive. Sorry for the lack of sophistication, but traveling and writing on the fly....

Just an awesome experience, fantastic food and such a friendly ambiance! The restaurant, about 20 years in continuous operation, is located a few steps off the "Marginal" (the oceanside area along the central Avenida Infante Dom Henrique); it took us about two minutes' walk from our Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico. To say that the menu is extensive is a serious understatement. It is simply endless featuring various appetizers, tons of fish and meat dishes as well as delicious desserts. The prices are very budget-friendly, the portion sizes are huge. The owner, Jôao Chaves, is not just an outstanding restaurateur and a great guy, but he is also a very talented accomplished photographer. You can even purchase the prints of his photographs displayed on the walls, both as hard copies and digital sequences. All and all, we can't recommend Sâo Pedro highly enough. Simply put, just a gem of a restaurant.

I showed up as a party of one with no reservation. I was greeted immediately and the place was very busy. The owner still accommodated me and offered me the last table, but I opted to sit in a high chair at the bar. Maria took care of me and was so friendly and nice. She answered all my questions and provided great suggestions. Everyone was so helpful and kind.

Hello, The service was well, the waitress were working properly! But I have bad feeling regarding the meal. I ordered 'fish of the day', but I felt it was not fresh, probably also not freshly cooked, just warmed up. So the taste of the expensive plate was below average. It was dry and tasteless. I did not make big argument regarding the meal, but I mentioned it was not so good, but nobody try to compensate or discussing with me, I think I am right, and I do not recommend fresh fish at this place.

Heard very positive about the restaurant. We had steak on a hot stone. Nice enough, but would have liked the meat more tender. We've had better sirloin steaks before. Told the nice waiter that we were not quite pleased with the quality of the meat and he compensated with a dessert on the house.

You won't tell it from outside, but it's a really great restaurant with local specialties, nice staff and welcoming atmosphere. Lapas served in a sizzling hot pan was incredibly delicious. 5 star recommendation.

Wonderful! Amazing! Fabulous! We were only in Azores for about 6 days and went to this restaurant twice. The staff was great but the food was even GREATER!! Actually, it was my 10-year old who requested to go back there because their fried calamari and shrimp pasta was that great! All their seafood was fantastic...fresh. AND!! Also, the Octopus was TO DIE FOR! I had it the first time and then my husband had it when we went back. WHEN we go back to Ponta Delgada, this is definitely the place we have to visit.

We reserved our table for 9.30pm however didn’t get sat until about 10 as they were so busy. We did manage to sit outside but was hard to get served and get people attention. however the 4 stars is because the food was amazing, the steak was so yummy and we had the ice cream and pineapple pudding which was also great .

We dined here earlier in the week & it was simply heavenly. We’ve just come back for our final meal of the holiday and this place just gets better. Incredible food, very, very reasonable & the most wonderful waiters. Perfect English, gorgeous humour & treated us just like friends. If you're English speaking and nervous about language I would recommend this place. Very nice waiters and delicious food. Will return.

We visited the restaurant for dinner and ordered the fish with banana as a main dish. The fish was served with spinach and mashed potato. It was one of the best fish dishes which I have ever tried. The service and everything else was very good and worth more than I paid at the end of the dinner. I was so excited that I left my camera in the restaurant. The nice thing was that when I returned for my camera the waiter returned it to me immediately ))) Great thanks for the great meal and great evening!

I absolutely loved this place. We loved it so much that chose to end our trip eating our last dinner here again! Great staff. Incredible food! Highly recommend you to try it out. Just make sure you call to make a reservation as it can get busy!

Food was fine; We had a few appetizers rather than entrees. The grilled limpets are an acquired taste despite often being compared to mussels. The real fruit juice was tasty. The service was good.

Hubby had steak, it was tough. I had the pineapple and meat. Asked for medium, slightly pink. It was very rare and bloody. Sent it back, came back very rare. Went asked to have it cooked more another waitress came over and told me it would be very tough if cooked more. I chose to have it cooked and it was ok. The waitress was awesome, she kept apologizing and checked on us frequently.

Very friendly staff and nicely decorated restaurant. I had the Béchamel starter which included a lot of ham. The main was octopus which was cooked very nicely and came with a lot of onions. Overall think it’s a very nice place - but could be even a bit better if they focus on a smaller menu and make each dish a bit more special / more character than trying to offer everything.

I really liked the decor and the interior, everything is decorated with taste. Location by the ocean. The food is very tasty, bravo to the chef! A nice waiter, Erica, was very friendly and did perfect service! At prices: White fish with mashed potatoes with curry sauce 19.5€ + crêpe with ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate 6.5€ + apple cider 2.5€ + tea 2€ = 30.5€ I recommend this place 👌

Food was ok, nothing special and a bit too salty if anything. Decor a bit tacky in some areas. Service was lovely and wine selection was nice too.

Very delicious seafood. Highly recommend the calamari and the octopus. The stuff was friendly, eventhough we did not have a reservation they seated us.

This restaurant is amazing! Spectacular service and even better food! A friend recommended it and it truly did not disappoint. They have an extensive selection of wine, amazing selection of fish and all the appetizers are amazing. We had calamari and limpets which were out of this world. Had tuna as my main and it was the best I’ve had. The people who work here have been working here for yeaaaars and they are very friendly, funny and personable. Couldn’t recommend this place more!
