šŸ‘šŸ‘ The only winery on SĆ£o Miguel. It's a must to visit them if you'd like to learn more about the history of wine on SĆ£o Miguel. Ricardo explained everything very thoroughly in English and assisted us in wine tasting. You can also buy wine which they produce (much more affordable price than in shops).... Absolutely gorgeous plot of land! Had a great time exploring and then given a tour from a very knowledgable employee. We then tasted some great Azorean wine and got some awesome tips on where else to visit on the island. What a great first day of our trip!

Wonderful scenic, local family-owned vineyard. For those who enjoy good wine that can't be found anywhere else in the world this is a must visit. (they only ship a small portion to mainland Portugal). Very accommodating staff that let us join the tour when we dropped by - be sure to make a reservation ahead of time for a tour!

We were so glad we booked a tour online as this vineyard is well worth a visit! David our guide was amazing! He met us at the front door and gave us a brief history of the vineyard before doing a tasting in the ground's chapel, which was a really unique venue. He then showed us around the grounds and let us explore it alone before showing us the production process. David was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We overran our booking but he was really relaxed about it and happy for us to taste more wines after the tour. Can't recommend this place enough, stunning historic buildings, beautiful views and really delicious wines!

It was a really nice tour around property and very informative as well. Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, they arenā€™t doing the wine tasting yet, we really enjoyed all the tour plus you can get wine at the end. FYI, it is advisable to call them before you go and check if they are opened and what hours they are running. I highly recommend it and hopefully, after Covid 19 is behind us, I am considering heading back!!!

A wonderful spot worth the visit on Saturday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:00. Check their website or Call ahead if possible, we showed up on a Saturday and they were closed due to watching portugal play in a soccer game that day. Went back on Tuesday and it was worth it. Mario is very informative about the wine making process and brings you around the vineyard. It is a small family business handed down from his grandfather. He educates you about the different varietals. You can see the original machines on display. The ā€œsmall garden houseā€ business supplies only 15,000 bottles a year and 90% is sold on the island (10% in mainland Portugal). The only reason itā€™s 4 stars not 5 is there was no wine tasting available. I wish I could have tasted before I bought (but I still bought 3 bottles!). Worth a stop!

Lovely private tour of the walled vineyard by the personable operator Mario. We showed up close to 5pm and weā€™re the only ones for the final tour of the day. Extremely friendly, informative, fun, and complete with delicious wine. Highly recommended.

Super nice small vineyard and winery. We got a small tour and 5 glasses of tasty wine. We paid 19ā‚¬ in total. Super cheap and very friendly people. You can also buy bottles of their wine. Delicious wine!

We visited this lovely family owned winery while on a recent trip to Sao Miguel and I honestly can not say enough wonderful things about our experience. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is knowledge and friendly, and the wine far exceeded our expectations. The story of the winery is unique, and it is beautiful to see what a family has built with hard work, dedication, and passion. We tried a couple of different red and white wines during our visit, and were particularly fond of the exclusive release Pinot Noir. The wine was honestly so delicious that we ended up bringing some home with us, despite making a pact that we would do no such thing upon first arrival. We had spirited and lovely conversation with the other guests and our wine guide. I can not enough recommend a visit to this vineyard during your next trip to Sao Miguel!

When we dined at Michel restaurant in Ponta Delgada, we asked for a local wine. They offered the wine with a cat on the picture. We liked it and visited the location of this winery in Sao Miguel. It was 5 euro for the tour. We really liked this wine with a cat on the picture.

We had an outstanding experience at Quinta da Jardinete. From the outside, one might underestimate what this gem holds within, but it was truly one of the highlights of our vacation. David, our tour guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable and brought the entire experience to life with his insights. Don't be fooled by the plain appearance of the entrance; this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
