I loved swimming here. This mostly local spot gets overshadowed by its larger more popular neighbors. Personally, I prefer beaches that are not too crowded like this one.

Wunderschöner Sandstrand in herrlicher Umgebung. Nicht überlaufen, da kaum ein Parkplatz zur Verfügung steht. Dafür hält der Bus aber direkt nebenan.

Very cute small beach. It is quite quiet but guess it depends on the day. It is very clean and there were lifeguards in June. There are also some public sowers on the beach.

Spent the whole day here. The beach is well kept and clean. Black sand gets very hot so bring sandals. There might be some jelly fish so keep an eye out. Sun protection is mandatory the sun really lays on when theres no clouds.

It's of a decent size, reasonably clean, it has access to at least one changing room serving as a toilet and a shower room, all in one. Don't know if there's another one at the other end, I didn't check. Lifeguards present, no jellyfishes when we were there at least.

Stunning little beach...because the land curves around the beach it's quite protected from rough surf, which allows for a very enjoyable, safe swim. Worth visiting for sure.

Nice little beach and easy to walk to from Ponta Delgada. No restaurant on the beach but there is one close by plus plenty on the way.

Small lovely beach with free showers

Schöner Strand, der im Sommer gerne von Einheimischen benutzt wird. Es hat eine Dusche und mit etwas Glück Parkplätze unmittelbar angrenzend. Das Wasser ist recht ruhig mit kleinen Wellen.

Ein kleiner Strand, sehr gemütlich, schöner Eingang in den Ozean, sandig. Nicht so viele Wellen und nicht hoch.

Der Strand ist weitgehend windgeschützt, aber meist mit beachtlichen Wellen versehen. Wie üblich ist der Sand schwarz und sehr fein. Es stehen genug Abfallbehälter bereit, eigentlich muss kein Müll auf dem Strand liegen. Einfach mal alles einsammeln, was zu sehen ist, das macht ein gutes Gefühl und den Strand (und das Meer) sauberer. Bei hohem Wellengang ist die Strömung nicht ganz ungefährlich, also Vorsicht, vor allem für die Kleinen.
