Good place to visit overall, but the entrance fee is not compensated by any particular piece of history, as the castle was probably undergoing some sort of restoration by the time of my visit. It has some nice views as well, but nothing you cannot achieve elsewhere on the island.

A very interesting example of European Colonial architecture. Well worth a visit. Only drawback is lack of accessibility. Lots of steep and sometimes slippery slopes to negotiate. For reasonably mobile persons, a worthwhile half day.

You really should visit this park when in Florianopolis. It is very well preserved with very good signage. It also has some of the best views on the island.

It's really nice this place. I went in the end of the day, near 17h that is the time they close. It's amazing to see the sunset there. You need to pay to enter and it's a really small fee. You can find explanations about the place in spanish and english. To walk around, I mean outside, it's good to do this in the morning. This way you can have differents points of view and take amazing pictures. It's also good the sensation of being there and admire the nature.

Magnificent views ! Try to find someone that can explain the history of this place; it is quite interesting.

Ein sehr schön und ordentlich wieder aufgebaute Festung 😍 Ausstellung mittlerweile auch in Englisch vorhanden 😊 Am Eingang gibt es sogar kleine Äffchen zu sehen 🐒
