They have the best traditional miniera dishes here and I found the prices to be competitive with other places. A must visit for the food and also the upstairs balcony view.

The food was really good and the Chef Gilberto, was so kind and friendly with us, he took us around the place and told us a bit of the history of the house, showed us everything! The place is charming, beautiful and warming! We loved it!

Amazing restaurant with topical food from Minas Gerais. Friendly staff and they do speak English. The manager was so kind, he explained to us the history behind that place and how they prepare the food.

Great food accompanied by friendly service. Our frango com quiabo (chicken with okra) was delicious. For dessert, we followed the server’s recommendation and tried the cheese ice-cream served with warm goiaba (guava) syrup. It was the perfect finale of our meal. The restaurant is situated in a former senzala, a historical slave quarter from colonial Brazil. The added layer of significance gave the experience an extra depth.

Excellent restaurant. We got two pasta dishes and both were very imaginative and delicious. The ambiance is amazing. The service was excelent, in the end we even got a tour of the property which was very interesting and a bit emotional because of the history of the place. Definitely want to go back.

You can come here for the atmosphere/building and service, but not the food. We had the chicken with okra and angu which was completely tasteless and the chicken was dry, we were disappointed given the reviews. I've had much better food in Minas, I wouldn't recommend this place or go here again.

excellent restaurant, my family is from Minas Gerais and I loved it, it reminded me of my grandmother's food, I recommend it to all my friends in Brazil who like good food
