100 million dollar view but 0 dollar for food and service..This place only worth for the view and atmosphere..I have to wait for one hour for my food to be served..and when the food arrived it is cold! The restaurant served western food and they only use frozen steak/lamb/chicken..not made fresh from the kitchen hence puzzling me even more on the waiting time..and their milkshake is undescribable..simply put the worst milkshake i ever tasted..will never come back for sure

Hidden Gem- Simpang Tenggayun, Pontian (45 mins slow drive, old road from JB) Arrived here at 5:45pm, sun was coming down.. you would feel as if, you arrived at a fast and furious set, with songs similar to where Dom and friends would hang out for an evening barbeque. 6:30, sunsets a little more, songs change to more mellow romantic. Just look at the sunset picture.. a place where you would bring your partner. Food- mainly western grill and pasta.Fast, money for value (dirt cheap) and tasty. I ordered the chicken chop, loved the gravy, grilled to perfection(not dry or over cooked) The spicy seafood aglio olio was seasoned nicely, with alot of shrimps. Dirt cheap. Total damage RM40 with drinks Staff/crew- Super friendly. Speaks a mix a malay and english. Even told us what coxson means. I strongly recommend if you want to take your special one for a cheap and cheerful outing. Also a nice place to bring family and friends. No alcohol served here!

Tried their fish and chip and rice with grilled chicken. Food is OK. Service OK also. Difficult to call for waitress. Food price is OK. Drink is OK. Nothing great with food. The road leading to the cafe is confusing, even with Google maps

Waited for almost 40 minutes for first dish to be served and another 30 minutes for the rest. The potato fries and the fish fillet was cold and soft when the fish & chips was served. The grilled lamb chop on the other hand is not so bad, taste was alright, however long-wait time is definitely a buzz killer. The drinks was served together with first dish, which hopefully can be improved in future.

The cafe really had a nice romantic vibe to it. Imagine listening to classic love songs and being able to enjoy the view of the sea. Great atmosphere and amazing food served here as well. The steak was cooked really nice and the spaghetti had the right amounts of sauce. Would recommend trying the Fettuccini with chicken fillet. The chicken had a nice and interesting marinade to it.

View: 4/5⭐ (sunset) Food: 3/5⭐ Service: 2/5⭐ Environment & Hygiene: 2/5⭐ Overall: 3/5⭐ Went for teatime with family, ordered mushrooms soup ×2, mashed potato ×2 & cheesy fries ×2 *everything share* and drinks Total cost RM107, which is RM10.7 per person. (10 of us) The food is so-so. The mashed potato is not bad, like the soft texture. Anything ice blended is not worth it, the vanilla ice blended doesn't taste like vanilla 🥲 Environment/Hygiene still needs to be improved, especially the KITCHEN. Service is quite slow, cheesy fries waited for almost 15-20 minutes Parking limited, Bumpy Road

The Food was so-so : Creamy pasta : delicious but pricey . Recommended for kids and rich milky-cheesy taste buds ! Nasi goreng grilled chicken : Was fine , suitable for kids & senior citizen ! Not so salty and no chilies at all . Pricey but worth the money . Rm19 Mushroom soup & Garlic bread : Can tell that its straight up from instant packet / instant can . for a standard Price of Rm14 small portion , i expect it to be homemade . Come on , 1 tin of button mushroom can produce a whole 3L of soup yet for a price like that , disappointed is the right word . Will not recommend this to others . Fish & chip : Fish taste fresh , tartar sauce is good . Pricey but value for money . Kuey teow with grilled chicken : Big portion , taste is fine , portion size enough to feed 2 person . Grilled chicken Rm10 , kuey teow rm7 . Spaghetti meatball bolognese : Again for a price of 24 per plate with 4 pcs of meatballs , i only expect the balls is homemade . But what i get is a plain frozen meatballs that taste like seasoned flour . please seek for other frozen meatballs weh !!! The meatballs is rubber-like tough . the cheese used was parmesan but i think mozzarella cheese will suits better with it . will not recommend . Service is poor : Arrived at 8.40P.M. Submit order at 8.58P.M. When arrived , only 1 customer there , most of the seat is wet and some have water on it ( maybe due to rain in the evening . Our table have cutlery from previous customers of only God knows since when . This proves that owner need to train the waitress. or they are just lazy . Drinks were served half an hour later . And my food arrived already 9.40PM , to my suprise , we were told to pay first at 9.50P.M as they mention they were closing . and i havent even finish eating my food yet ?!?! This is the most frustrating moment . i get the food soo late but requested to collect plate when some of us havent even finish eating ?!?! to me thats plain disrespectful. the waiter is young so i bet he is just some underpaid waitress, so i really dont want to make a scene . Atmosphere was peaceful: we sat near the sea coast , we could hear the wind and beach wave splashing towards the boulders . very calm quiet & peacefull . Overall : Ive been a regular customer before covid & 1 year post covid , only now ive been sooo disappointed. They were sooo good before . Last but not least , i might come here again or i might not .

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a combo environment + delicious western food. All dishes we tried as superb. I will surely invite my family and friends here.

The last time I I came to Coxn Cafe was just before the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020. This place (located beside the sea) has further developed since then, with the previously thatched (atap) main dining area now reroofed with zinc, and ceiling fans installed - certainly help with a more pleasant dining experience. The menu consists of both western style food, as well as local Malay cuisine. The food served was okay - and I would come back again and again to dine whilst watching the sun set.

Not worth visit this place !!! Foods no good & price not match the food served! Place dirty & also hot. Table & chairs not comfortable. Service is bad, I order aglio olio & serve me green pasta, ask the service crew & reply me with bad altitude !

Pics of place look good. But far from good. Service was bad and if the flies didn't carry the food away when it finally arrived I was badly surprised. Very bad place to visit. But yet the pics on Google give you a false expectation of good times. Nice spot by mud flats but very badly executed. 😢
