Can't express with words Especially walking through tthe walk way and between rain fall. Cool breeze, silence of Nature, fish gallery, cultural product, monkeys, etc... All together like we are inside the forest. Lake is calm. Boat service is available, two four seven persons boat. Fish spa is super. you must experience. There was rush in evening time. But it's okay. Cycling horse riding also available

It's one of the famous tourist destination in wayanad. This place is most suitable for family outing. The pedal boat and walking around the lake is major attractions here. During weekend time it will be very crowded.

Beautiful lake, just overcrowded with families who are too lazy to walk. It works well in favour who want to be a little active and value the privacy. There's an entry fee and the boating lines are till Saturn.

A beautiful small lake made B/w mountain hills , a small park , some shops for tribal products , boating ( pedal boat) facility on lake , walking across the lake (2/3 Km) cycling option also available , we took 2 4 people boats and pedaled across the lake , the lake has blooms of special Water plant called Cabomba which has pinkish red flowers bloomed which gives a beautiful pinkish mat for the lake , cage fishing is down beside the lake by fisheries department, we had a stroll around the lake , have to beware of leeches although a few bites are normal and has no issues it can be scary for kids who see leeches and scared , there is charge for entering lake around 40 rupees per adult children and senior citizens lower charge

Pookode Lake is a scenic freshwater lake in the Wayanad district in Kerala, South India. A major tourist destination in the district, Pookode is a natural freshwater lake nestling amid evergreen forests and mountain slopes at an altitude of 770 meters above sea level. It is 15 km away from Kalpetta. It is the smallest and highest altitude freshwater lake in Kerala.

Pookode lake was on the way on reaching kozhikode from wayanad. We loved the touristic setup that has been put up by the management for this. There were plenty of parking, food stalls, and fun activities comme boating, fish spa, birds zoo nearby, and an aquarium inside. There were also shopping stores near the entrance. Ticket counter is time consuming, better if they use online ticketing. Pedal boating is only available with an affordable rate. Recommended to come early for the foggy view and avoid noon times. Also, beware of the monkeys.

Great lake for boating. Lake size is really small but go there to experience one of a kind flower. Thats why the name pookode. You can also take a walk around the lake. There are pedal boats, kayak and assisted row boats. For assisted row boats for 7 person its 700, you can even pay 700 and 2 people can go. It takes upto 40mins. Get ready with your camera No waiting during weekdays

This is the second time I am visiting. It is well preserved and everything is very clean. The pavement, lavatory. The climate was good so I really enjoyed my time there.

Well spent day. The lake seems to have too many water plants, which made us difficult to pedal the boat. Cost is little high for boating. Entry ticket is less. Could get refreshments inside for normal cost. Over all good.

Pokode Lake Famous lake in Wayanad district.  A place loved by all age groups alike . A road around the lake so you can walk.  No swimming allowed.  There is an entry fee . Boating (rowing, pedaling, motor) fish spa, aquarium, children's park, handicrafts and more… (Good from October last💚 "This is just my opinion")

if you are going with family it's a nice place. but if you are going with friends I won't suggest this place. because for kids there are lot of rides. and don't visit on weekends.

Really nice place, especially the walking experience around the lake make it really wonderful. The nature around it is well preserved and the walk was really refreshing and scenic. There are lots of areas for taking nice photographs too. There is a park for kids and they too really enjoyed, though the rides were limited. The negatives are the non-availability of enough boats, especially on busy days. We waited for sometime only to realize we may not get it and instead we took a walk. Also the lake could've been cleaner, I guess.

It is a must visit place on your trip to Wayanad. You can go boating here but I will definitely recommend taking a walk around the lake. The track is beautifully covered with trees and there are many great spots where you can just sit, look at the river and find your calm. Attaching photos of the spot we relaxed at. Entry fees: 40 Rs.

I visited with my family on saturday. We reached there at 10am. There was no rush at that time. Entry fee is 40 for adult. They have shopping facility, park for children, fish spa, boating and cycling option. We can also go for a walk around tge lake.We opted for a boat with sailor(700 rupees). It was a nice experience. Children enjoyed it.They are constructing new washroom area there. Area is maintained well. Only issue is with parking facility. It is far away and they charge 50 for 4 wheeler. We left from there by 12pm.

Pookode is known for its beauty. Trees form thick canopy over the pathways around the lake. There are side benches to sit and enjoy the peace and calmness. A park is made for kids. Boating facilities are available for tourists. Small shops fr snacks, spa centres etc are located inside . Parking space is quite away from the spot. Leeches are present😅( They are part of nature as well☺️). Adding pictures of place at different times👇👇

It's a nice place to hangout, the boat ride in the lake will be a nice experience. Best place for kids to hangout, they've all play facilities for children up to 12 years old. It'll be a good time spent on holiday.

A must visit place when you come to wayanad. Boating through the lake is the most important activity that you should do. A walking path is there around the lake. You can buy various handicrafts items and souveneirs fron this place. Make sure that you come after 4 pm . Other ways it will too hot especially during summer time. Though wayanad temp. is much cooler than other parts of kerala, day time temp during summer is too hot here too.

The boating is awesome. We have taken seven seater oar boat which costs 700inr. The staff who came with us was excellent. Given lot of idea regarding the place. Nature friendly place. The roads on the side was damaged, so no cycling in place. We can walk all around the lake.

It's a good place to hangout with friends and family, also there are activities like boating, cycling etc. There's a fish gallery, fish spa small tea stall, an exhibition of the local products and an ice cream shop inside. You can walk along the side of the lake to enjoy the beauty of nature. Though be carefull of the monkeys they will try to snatch anything that they find interesting or edible. The entry fee for was 40/-per head and there are concessions for children and elderly and you have to pay seperately for the activities like boating (it was the only activity we could do).

Once inside the premise we are greeted by souvenir shops selling wayanad's indigenous products . One can do boating both pedal and row boats are available . We tried kayaking also .The whole surrounding area is very calm and quiet

Don't expect too much adventure or expectations about the spot.A lake with little activities like kayaking and boating are available.pathways are available so the travellers can have there chat and take a walk surrounding the lake.better to choose the spot on morning. So travellers can get the full vibe of spot. While seeing the current rush of pookode lake,i think it's bit overrated.
