When I entered the Lord Wimborne I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful, traditional and awe inspiring decor. My hopes were imminently filled by the look of the establishment. However my spirits were dampened by the startling lack of vegetarian breakfast options available. I unfortunately had to compromise on American pancakes opposed to my desired vegetarian breakfast (hence the 3 star review). Just when I thought my breakfast could deteriorate no further, one of my colleagues delivered the devastating news that the hot drink dispenser had fallen into a state of disrepair. Thankfully, a polite manager fixed the dispenser with haste, which i considered excellent customer service. In conclusion the balance between the stunning decor and the lack of veggie breakfast (which drove my colleague into meat eating despite his usual vegetarianism - see photo) makes a 3/5 feel a most justified score.

This is a great place for friends families and loved ones and also child friendly. There is ample parking nearby at payable meter which belongs to Sainsbury's. There are a great option to choose from - vegetarian to kids menu. There are lots if drinks on offer and occasionally The Lord Wimborne celebration rates various beer, cider and drinks festivals so great place to dine in. There are toilet facilities for all too. Prices are reasonable and very close to Poole Quay where one can get a boat trip to around a few destinations offered. Thank you and have a great time 👍🌟

Would not even bother eatting in here or Quay the food quality is terrible,I though I would give it the benefit of the doubt. But seems all weather spoons are bad for food. You can get better at a macdonalds.Say you pay for what you eat but food years ago was so much better. Would not bother going don't waste your money on low down quality

Only had a pint in here at the end of pub crawl - Easter beer festival was on, can't now remember what I was drinking (typing this a few days after) but the ale was good enough. In my opinion the better of Poole's two Wetherspoons, nice decor and cosy as to be expected I think building was the old library ? Service quick on a Tuesday late afternoon. Didn't eat. Thanks to the staff as always.

Came here on a night out and we ordered a burger in which we could only take out certain fillings and for someone with allergies this is not ok, we had to send the burger back. Then we ordered dessert and had to wait an hour and a half for it, in which we complained twice but staff were very understanding and after complain number two the dessert came right away. Half the toilets didn't have toilet paper in and they were unclean. All in all a great night

Came in here for our evening meal. Most that we chose from the menu was not available!!😡 So that was disappointing, then took a while to order as we had to keep choosing!🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Anyway, we got there in the end. I had a strawberry and lime cider, which is always well tasty here, my partner prefers tea, so she had a refillable cup👍 Food was ready quite quickly, as there were only locals drinking. The food was lovely, tasty, very hot and on a hot plate too👍 Though our table was so messy when we got to it, had to ask the staff to clean it for us. Obviously they don't pay attention to service, when people finish their meals, ready for the next people🤷‍♂️😔 Then my partner needed to use the toilets there, she said they were very dirty and smelly!🤦‍♂️😡 This is very bad, men would kind meerut up with it, though not liking it. Certainly not acceptable for a woman. This is not one of their better pubs that we have been to.

The second worst Wetherspoons i have ever been in! Filthy...no clean tables, no mugs and no pint glasses! In the time i stood getting a coffee , 4 people returned breakfasts asking for hot breakfast. Only one coffee machine working and that one had no milk and no coffee in it! This is the picture of the glass collection area saying please keep clear! Will definately not be returning!

Awful! Absolutely heaving with people, dirty plates left everywhere, staff nowhere to be seen. Sat down at a dirty table, no one bothered cleaning our table off, I had to take it up to the bar in the end. After 45 mins of waiting our breakfast finally arrived! Beans were stone cold, mushroom was raw and there was egg shell in the beans! Filthy establishment, fair to say we walked out leaving our disgusting food on the table to fester for a few hours. We won’t be returning! Yuck!

The food may be microwaved however the cocktails are spot on and are a very good price. The staff are friendly too. They're slightly cheaper than the cocktails on the Quay and are always adding new drinks. I recommend the Mango Monster Mash!

Wow. I've never from a price point of view had a bad meal at spoons. Until today. From entering this venue and not being able to find a free cleaned and cleared table to menu issues with pricing. This particular area was not cleared in the 45 mins or so we was in the venue. My all day brunch came out with one rock solid egg and one hard. Sausages were barely warm and again first time ever no one asked if all was. Ok. I get it's not a gourmet restaurant, but come on guys. Disappointed.

A very nice first meal here, me and my girlfriend loved the food. Very friendly staff, very nice steak and apple crumble. Some portions of food were less but overall very good. Also just an IMPORTANT thing for anyone, there is literally no toilets in the town so this was the only place we knew with toilets!

Visited with friends. Extensive menu available. Very busy with many customers. Plenty of places to sit. Easy to order at the bar. Friendly and pleasant staff. Facilities available and kept clean. Pleased to see opportunities for women who felt at risk to ask for help. Shows management care for customers welfare.

Had a bbq burger 4 of the patties 3 of which were like a blackboard (as ordered extra) burnt to a crisp tasted like bloody charcoal avoid the burgers in here, waste of nearly £14

Tbh I've been a few times over the years for food and drinks and it is just a normal wetherspoons but I went in recently during the day for something to eat and was really happy with the amount of food also the fact the cooks had actually spent the extra minutes to put the burger together with out slapping it together on a plate with 5 chips so thanks 👍🏻

Very poor experience. Disabled toilet was disgusting. Asked for table to be wiped, never was, so moved tables. Asked for salt, was told they don't have much, but they'll see if they can find some 🤦🏼‍♀️ a bottle of table salt was presented. What's happened to the good old salt pot? The staff were pleasant. We had to wait longer than usual for our food even though they weren't busy. It was lovely food it was just the place let it down

Another breakfast and another cold disappointment. A full English should not be cold. I ate it but given the amount of reviews saying the food was cold I think they have a problem. Another couple also complained as their order was missing items and you guessed it. Cold. Never really had a bad breakfast in spoons until now.

Usually it's great here and really quick. Unfortunately last week was over an hour's wait for food and stroppy bar staff. Luckily the manager was a lot more helpful. If they just said there would be a wait that would be fine then we could decide whether to order or not.

Dinner at spoons tonight was absolutely delicious 😋 gammon, egg and jacket was cooked to perfection, hot, tasty and fantastic value for money, totally recommend this pub. Chef needs a raise 🙌

Typical spoons, cheap and cheerful.... I had a large mixed grill, as always you don't have to worry about burning your mouth whilst eating, as food is served close to stone cold. Food was alright, drinks were fine and staff were good. My only complaint was almost losing a layer of skin off my arm. The tables were dirty and very very sticky!

Good value. No mango chutney half hour after lunch menu started on curry Thursday was surprising with no apology either. Tasty food though. Bar staff nice. Table staff in different...

We Ordered breakfast today (21stOct) we was waiting for half an hour if not a little longer not a good start, the breakfasts which was 1 traditional and 2 large all came out warm not even hot not gd 😒 the bacon was dry and had charcoal on it, the egg on the traditional which should of been sunny side up (runny)it was rubbery, we got someone to come over as it wasn't good enough, we told her this and she got all defensive saying they have a new chef and that it's "Friday" we told her it wasn't good enough and that we wanted a refund she said that we won't get one so I said that I wanted to see the manager, the manager came over to our table and said was I raising my voice to her staff member and i hadn't I asked for a refund as we're not happy with our breakfast eventually we got a refund we won't be back 0/5 (This is what a breakfast should look like and a service with a smile and very polite)

Steak was not cooked as asked for. Sent it back and came back burnt. Meanwhile, onion rings got cold and my wife had finished her dinner. Front of house helpful.

We came here over the weekend, ordered a boneless chicken strip meal each, doesn’t come with what is stated! No sauce, no coleslaw! We were sat opposite a table filled to the brim of glasses, must have been 60/70 dirty glasses on there. A customer came in and had to clear the table himself! The language coming from drunks in there was unbelievable, certainly not a ‘family friendly’ place with crude language like that!

Was a busy night as sometimes is in Witherspoon's so as with all spoons seat yourself look at the menu. All standers so far. But there was an apsilote gem behind the bar only lady on that night (high bmi lady ) but was lovely and informed me that as I have orderd 2 sides th 3rd was only a little extra. Good attitude and smile 🙂

If I could give zero stars I would. I went with my wife on the evening of 27th May 2022. Firstly we struggled to find a clean table (normally we would of just left there and then, but as we'd been travelling all day we decided to stay). We finally found a table and ordered through the app, the food arrived before our drinks and when questioned the server did go and get them. When the drinks came, I almost choked on a piece of paper that was floating below the froth. The food is below par even by wetherspoons standards, my wife had a chicken wrap and the chicken was like plastic, I can eat anything but even I couldn't eat it. Normally you go to a spoons because you know what you are getting, but I am baffled how this place has stayed open, I have spoken to some people since our visit and none had a positive thing to say about the Lord Wimborne.

Coffee is good and after you paid for your first cup all subsequent cups ARE FREE. The same can be said for other hot drinks like Tea, Mocha and Chocolate etc. Enjoy.

Well what can I say....I went out for a day trip in Poole with 2 elderly ladies and 1 disability lady my mum in-law. We had 2 scampi/ 2 fish and chips the food was lovely apart from the garden peas were cold the sauces were not on the table so we asked one of waitresses bearing in mind with 2 elderly ladies with walking frames and one with a walking stick got told that the sauces were by the bar she was awfully rude, then to top it off 3 of us needed the girls room but the disabled toilet downstairs had no handle/lock as the holes were there and you couldn't shut the door so it's a good job I was there with one of the elderly ladies to hold the door open and she did the same but struggled to keep it closed for me, in the mean-time my mum in-law with her stick had to go all the way upstairs as she didn't have anyone to hold the door shut for her as the toilet is about 4ft away from the door, everyone on the tables would be eating and seeing everyone on the loo this is a shocking place and we won't be going there again

This is a nice Wetherspoons in Poole. Lots of space, nice beer garden and every time I've been here the staff have been very courteous.
