Tourist attraction Park Recreation center

👍 Nice park, not far from highway. Big open spaces, shade, decent bathrooms. Small playground by baseball fields, larger playground by the field. We love coming here because it's open and not far from the highway. We play frisbee here and often see the police doing their reports in the parking lot. People often mention park, play,

This is a nice little park. It has a playground for ages 2 to 5, in my pictures. It also has at least a couple baseball fields and a playground for 6 to 12-year-olds on the other side. It's got beautiful trees with Spanish moss and plenty of parking. There's also a bathroom house.

Never really had an issue here before as far as facilities. However, I was attending my son’s practice on 12/8. I don’t know the employee’s name but I will find out later and update. I overheard her talking about a team that mostly consisted of Black boys. She thought she whispered to her friend. I heard her say that whoever (she said the guy’s name but I can’t remember) put that team together must’ve thought “oh that name sounds like a n**** name” put him on that team. I couldn’t believe it. She thought she made a funny. The lady she told the “joke” to didn’t correct her, of course, she smirked too. Stop validating this mess or it will continue. What a shame.

Great place to stop just off 95 for a mid road trip play break and picnic. Bathrooms are very clean, as is the park.

It’s the only park in Pooler, but need maintainance, swings are torn apart, trash cans are full. Pooler needs more park, and if they have one they should put more effort in it

A lovely park. Well maintained, all amenities, (except a dog park) and never too crowded to enjoy!

Very nostalgic park. I have lived in Pooler for 19 years and my dad actually painted the original sign for the park.

Open field, huge baseball field, basketball 🏀 court with two rims, few picnic tables and a small park for children 5 and up to have fun and play.

This park seems a bit run down, the grass needed to be cut and needed some work around the play area. We stopped here so our daughter could blow off some energy and it could pass as a decent park. The basketball nets needed to be replaced and a lot of standing water around the area that could be fixed with some leveling of the ground.

This park is never overly busy, which I love. They have 2 play sets, one is for 2-5year olds and the other for bigger kids. I appreciate a smaller playset for my crazy toddler, so this has become a favorite. It is also in close proximity to Flacos Tacos, so we are able to grab food and hang out at the park. Love it.

Several picnic tables in shaded areas. basketball court. Two different play sets suggested for 2-5 and 5-11 (I think). Big kid and little kid swing sets. One of the little kid swings is patched with duct tape. That doesn't seem safe. Overall great and would take my son again.

Both my kids enjoy the park and have used the facilities for T-ball, gymnastics and dance classes. Since they opened the karate place across the street I've noticed they are parking at the rec center. Not sure why a new place doesn't have enough parking for their needs, but it's really irritating to not be able to park by the play area because they're taking up the spots.
