I wasn’t ready lol… Best pulled pork sammy I’ve had, hands down! Great staff, helped my newbie self order, thank God I got the Cajun fries, perfect compliment. That bbq sauce is special. Need Dexters in Dallas guys. Make it happen! Went back heading out of town for the Brisket Melt and MY GOD the guy didn’t lie! After this sandwich you will be a regular! Done deal guys! Bringing my family here next time for sure…. Freakin Yum!!!

The"Dexter BBQ" on Texas toast is a pretty big sandwich and it's really good. And c'mon, who can say no to free ice cream?

Wow what a great deal this place is. The staff was very friendly and helpful, food came out quick, and was very good BBQ for a great price. I wasn't a fan of the cole slaw as it had almost no flavor but the chicken was FANTASTIC.

Really tasty BBQ! Great flavor, not too smoky or tangy. Great selection of food, & wasn't very busy when we were there. The food came quickly and was hot. The baked beans was thick and full of flavor. More of a fast food style BBQ I guess but pretty good stuff! Will definitely eat there again when we're back in the area.

Fiance and I had such a great experience. Food was delicious and super fast out to our table! We had ordered and sat down and within five minutes had our food! The table sauces are also all really good! Loved that we paid ahead so we could leave when ready to. This place is awesome!!

Not a bad little place, but not the best food I've had. The meat was a little dry. The salt shakers were clogged, so who knows the last time they were cleaned. You basically pay for your meal, get your own drink and find your own seat. The prices were decent, but the food could have been better.

Food was really good this time. Service was helpful. We reserved a room for birthday party. Area was empty & clean when we arrived. Food was brought out to table relatively quickly. One order took a while though the place was empty except for party attendees. We ate ribs, nachos, & salads this visit. They all had good flavor. Ribs were extra tiny. Disappointed about that.

Great food, very kind staff. Brisket melts in your mouth. Portions are medium to small. For $16 brisket plate, not even a drink included, the portions should be a lot bigger. For such a great place, clean, fun, great cooks and great staff, it's a shame the owners are over pricing the food and running it into the ground. Sadly, that's how tax write offs work, and unless it is pure greed, I suspect it is a tax write off place. A failing business can get you taxes written off and even some taxes refunded. But hey, if you have the money and want some very good food, this is the place to come, clean, friendly, good music not loud, and easy to get in and out, with a stop light into the parking lot area.

Good bbq but sides come in a small cup thats for condiments so 2 teaspoons of baked beans just ain't enough for the price

I'm not sure what to say about this place other than it was recommended by a funeral home director. I'm not sure if she recommended it because she gets business from this place... or if she was serious about it being a good barbecue place. I didn't think it was very good at all. The service was slow. It's not the waitresses fault, it just took a long time to get the food out. It was also expensive. The barbecue was so so. The coleslaw was disgusting and tasted like a cardboard box smells. The sauce was not very good, actually it was very strange, like it had a lot of vinegar that hadn't been cooked out properly. And there was a sign on the way to the bathroom that said "No Tipping". No explanation on the sign as to what that meant, just "No Tipping". I don't even know what that means if you see that in a restaurant. You know, there's one thing I can say about how to find a good barbecue place, look for the line of people waiting to get in. And, if you can smell it halfway down the street, before you can even see the building, you might have found a good barbecue place. I became suspicious the minute we walked in and didn't see any people eating barbecue in this barbecue restaurant. It was 10 minutes till noon. Matter of fact, of the total number of people that were there, we out numbered them three to one. I think there were three others people in this restaurant, and two of them followed us in. So, all I've got to say is there are other barbecue places in town, I'm sure they're better, I would try one of them instead.

I travel the country year round and on my birthday every year I get ribs. I have never had Missouri style ribs before and these were amazing. Thank you so much for making my birthday meal amazing.

This place is amazing. The food is incredible. Portions are massive and I promise you will not leave hungry. The girl that greeted us was such a sweetheart. This was our first trip and we had no idea what we were doing. She was so helpful and patient. Told us we looked like a lot of fun. Not many places have both incredible food and service anymore and this place has 10 stars on each. We will definitely be back.

We hadn't been there in years. I couldn't even remember if it was good or not. We went today and it was absolutely amazing. Sauces were delicious. We were served very quickly! My daughter is picky about meat. She got grilled chesse but couldn't stop eating the pork off our plates! We will definitely be back. Service was also amazing.

Always tasty food and great service! Mid range prices. We use them for catering for our church events often as well.

Arrived at the Poplar Bluff location at 6:15 PM...was told they were out of Ribs and Brisket...only had Pulled Pork and Turkey...really?..place is dated, bar area and 1/2 the seating area closed off. Food quality fair at best...

I love going here. They're brisket is unbelievably tender and full of flavor they're soft selections out of this world The people that work there couldn't be nicer, if I keep going here, I'm going to be big as a house before the end of the year. It's my own stupid fault, I have no self control.

Delicious!!! We changed our vacation plans to include stopping at Dexters. We were heading to the Farmington MO restaurant but would not have made it before closing so we detoured to the Poplar Bluff location and it was every bit as good as we remembered from our stop at Farmington, MO 2 years ago. We would love it if they opened a restaurant in the Quad Cities.

Honestly this place needs more recognition. The food is so good and the people are so friendly. I guess I visit on the off times because it's always empty inside. Definitely go here.

I hate to rate a place poorly but my food was cold and had to be sent back. When I sent it back, another diner said that the same thing happened to them and it was something completely different. It was pretty chilly in the restaurant too. They have an ice cream dispenser but no toppings at all. I will not go back and I can't recommend.

I've dined in and used drive through. The food is excellent. Prime rib is superb. I really like the the pork steaks, they are huge. I don't know their exact spices, but Tuesdays steaks are A-1. Sometimes service is a little slow, but still worth it.

Inside was very good, very good portions . But I noticed buying the same order & going through drive you get a lot less in your portions. This really upsets me, as i'm Paying the same Price as inside, i'd appreciate what I played for.

Had the large rib dinner with 2 sides. Ribs were excellent, tender and meaty. They come dry with 4 different sauces on the table. Sides were as expected for a bbq joint. Service was prompt but not friendly, especially for a first time guest. Counter service.
