Literally the BEST cafe in Masterton! Service, food and staff just amazing. There is no comparison, these guys are a cut above the rest. Such a cool new Mexican restaurant with a Honduras influence. Delicious 'Gracias' coffee. Really friendly and helpful staff. Locally made Kate's kombucha available. Gluten-free option (corn tortillas). Bright decor, relaxed but fun ambiance, and even some lovely wooden toys for the kids.

Lovely spot, vibrant decor, friendly staff, and a superb menu. Lots of food and drink options you won’t find in a regular cafe. Good hustle and bustle, and you do wait for your food as a result of how busy the place usually is, but the food is worth the extra few minutes. Some really nice Gluten Free options, as well as gluten filled treats - like the Ruben sandwich 😋

So glad we chanced upon this little gem. The duty manager (I suspect the owner) is so friendly and welcoming. And my breakfast, papas bravas, is omg so delicious, I know I will be missing it when I go back to Singapore.

We had a very unsatisfying lunch experience at Don Luciano after many of our preferred lunch dishes (spaghetti with meat ball and bagel) were not available anymore, which the servant did not tell us upfront as we had to find out by ourselves. In the end we had to switch to penne all‘arrabbiata and here the penne were very hard and it seems that they were not cooked properly. I assume that one original dish has been already a penne all‘arrabbiata that the noodles of the two additional ones, because of unavailability of other dishes, were just put in the same boiling water as the first ones. As all dishes were served at the same time, the penne for all dishes were mostly still very hard. For a dish cost of >20$ this was really a disappointing experience!!!

Unexpected surprise just off the main street. Lovely decor, great music and one if the best BLT's I've had in a very long time. Well worth the stop if passing through.

A few weeks ago, I booked brunch for 16 people, prior to one of our daughter's wedding. We turned up today to find everything was ready for us. Everything about this cafe was more than I had hoped for. An absolutely perfect start to the big day. Huge thanks to the wonderful staff, they're brilliant!

The Don rocks! What an amazing place. We are visiting Masterton and had breakfast and coffee twice it was that good. The savoury waffles are absolutely delicious and highly recommend. Excellent coffee and the staff are fabulous. Great service and great value for $$ Highly recommend a visit.

Amazing food, and perfect if you want something different and exciting over traditional cafe meals.

By far the best restaurant in town. Service was exceptional. Food was well balanced. Couldn’t rate this more highly well kept secret.

I am a mad fan of mince on toast and I was blown away with their Savoury corn bread waffle 🧇 their collective service of our table was great. Highly recommend, coffee was delicious 😋

Went on museum staff recommendations. They weren't ready for evening service, but let us in 1 hour early and let us choose from one side of the menu. Food (tapas) was exquisite. Best pork belly I've ever had.

What a great place to have food and coffee! You must stop here of you can. The staff was friendly, the coffee was tasty, and the chips were generous. Try the Tres Leches... you will love it!

The service, the eats and the prices are all excellent and the boss man is always there doing things which is really neat to see. Saying hi to the customers etc. A really nice touch. Will certainly go back.

Easily the best cafe in town! A must try is the authentic Baliadas, a Honduran street food breakfast! They also have the freshest and most consistent coffee I’ve tried! Definitely do not miss this place next time your in masterton :)

Had the breakfast wrap and it was delicious with my coffee. Unfortunately I was charged twice for my breakfast as the girl came to my table and said it Didn’t go through the till. I did say that the money had come out of my account and even though a receipt had printed from the eftpos machine she still was sure it hadn’t processed because it wasn’t on the till.. Very disappointing.. Unfortunately I don’t live in the area and have since gone back over seas so not sure a refund would be able to worked out.

Went for coffee. Was a lovely atmosphere. Service was good. Staff were friendly. Our order came extremely quickly and the hot chocolate was still hot and really yum. Will try something to eat next time round.

Excellent coffee, food and I specially want to describe the customer service. The service provided by the team of Don Luciano is amazing, very detailed and friendly. We had a quite big group including kids. All enjoyed to the max. Definitely pay another visit soon.
