Great food. Great value for money. Great happy hour. Excellent staff. What more can I say. We love this place and are there at least once a week. Late breakfast, sunday roast or a weknday dinner. We have a little flutter on the pokies to see if we can make money to pay for the food. Sometimes it works.

Firstly, the service here is amazing! Esp the sweet host Sariah who made the best suggestions and knew her stuff! Thank you for your hospitality! I am bit hesitant with sports bar/pub meals because it’s usually quite standard and overpriced, and I usually am not a fan of Italian based food (I prefer Authentic Asian) BUT I was blown away by the standard of the food here. Everything tasted so good! Everything from Entree to dessert and coffees were amazing! Esp loved the beer battered fries with cheese and gravy! Yumm Very well priced. Steak was cooked to perfection ($17 on Thursdays). Most days have specials and will defz return on a Monday when it is 2 for one mains! The ambience was nice here, I can imagine even better when live bands are on. Out door seating with a view is available. Wheelchair friendly. All bar staff were super friendly… esp Sariah! Can’t wait to come back!

Every time we come here, with family or friends, the quality of service from the ladies behind the bar, are so amazing! They are always ready to help and assist, always super warm and friendly and they are just good at what they do! This is why I will always come to Sandbar because the quality of service is by far the best! Sandbar and their staff are awesome!

Had lunch with my better-half after an appointment nearby, we had the marinated beef sirloin and steamed salmon. The beef was well-seasoned and I liked the grilled cauli flower. The sauce that topped the salmon was a tad sweet but it does blend well with the capsicum and onions that came with the salmon. The place's ambience is pleasant and peaceful. Almost beachfront bar-like feel. Definitely a good place to stop by.

Went here for lunch our table all enjoyed their meals. Mmm and I also asked for my soup in a mug perfect loved it too. Staff great thx 👍 😀

Super popular place to drink and eat. Place was noisy as a result. If you are looking for a quiet spot this is not the location. If noise is your thing it's awesome.

Just had the Monday night special, 2 mains for the price of one. Had the marinated sirloin and braised beef. Both meals were top notch, zero complaints for anything. Service was fast, food came out at the same time with a short wait, even though it was busy (we managed to get the only non reserved table in the place, ON A MONDAY) which really speaks for itself. Wish I lived closer to be a regular. Will be back!

Staff were friendly good atmosphere for dinner, i ordered the pork belly . Flavour was good but portion size of meat to cost was upsetting and left me needing more . Large platter is a great size.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Beer was cold and there is free Wi-Fi. Nice outdoor area, however it is the smoking area. Well priced food available most of the day. Food came out in a good time and was a good size portion. Good selection of drinks and well priced, including coffee and soft drinks. Continues to be a great spot, with constant results.

I honestly expect this food from expensive restaurants in the city. I can't actually remember the last time I payed for food and was satisfied afterwards... Until this pub. Seeing as it's also dog friendly, i can see my self as a regular now. Definitely going to slowly drag everyone I know to try it out

Usually a very friendly accommodating experience. Bought our two year old in for a quick drink. Everyone knows toddlers eat snacks, right? Well the lady behind the counter said we weren't allowed to bring in some leftover chips for our child. We are struggling parents on one income. We cannot afford to buy food from the bar everything our two year old wants a snack. Pretty upset to be honest. First time in months we've had a drink our as a treat and to be told this- first poor experience I've had here. A real shame.

A group of us went out to catch up with some friends. Nice pulled beef sandwich and Calamari as starters. Busy bar with regulars and visitors. A big table for a birthday group. Mix of a Sports bar with TAB and a regular pub. Outside area at the back staff were friendly and efficient. Been there a few times. Happy to recommend!

I Have known Sonny and his lovely lady for some 5/6 years. Came here years ago to visit my son. He along with his partner gave my son a job. Great people great sense of loyalty. I cannot and will not fault them. Bar staff are great food is wonderful. Only problem with the place is a simple one. I didn't back enough winners at the TAB. But that's more my fault than theirs

Went for dinner on a Monday, took advantage of the 2 for 1 mains special , was a first visit for dinner, service was great with no wait. Drinks and food ordered and both came in good time and looked very appetizing, garlic bread was enjoyable, pork belly ordered by my dinner partner looked good and I was told tasted as good as it looked, I ordered the braised beef, which arrived looking good and tasted even better. The beef was impeccably cooked and thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend. Prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be visiting again. Every day has a different meal special and bar has a good range of snacks and pizza, which I've tried previous and was good enough to make me come back for dinner, and available outside of dinner hours. Highly recommend for an enjoyable meal in a good atmosphere.

A very busy local bar - good location, good tap beer, good vibes. But clearly they are short of staff on a Saturday. The front of house girls are under pressure and (maybe they have to) keep on ignoring you from you entering the bar (except one lovely lady). And unfortunately the food is quite average and lack of flavor. It seems the pizza base was not fermented properly today. Maybe the kitchen is under pressure as well - hope the management can provide their staff more support cause this is such a lovely bar. Such a pity.

I give a 5 star review, everything was great ! The food is amazing, cooked to perfection, the service was even better, friendly staff makes the experience that much more enjoyable. We sat outside, you are aloud dogs in the outdoors bit, beautiful views on a beautiful sunny day. Highly recommend, the food prices were in the 20s for a steak and garlic butter etc everything was so worth it and cheap! I highly recommend the crumbed camembert cheese and crackers was perfect entrè. Thanks for the good food and time😊

We waited for over one and a hour. Pub was crowded. service was very friendly and offered us a drink on the house. food was excellent, but waiting time not acceptable.

If I could give this establishment a 0 star rating I would this establishment is managed by 1 very arrogant Anna whom wouldn't allow a large crowd of patrons eat or drink in this establishment due to complaints from others about the crowd of people yes that crowd was a crowd of gang members however they all removed patches before entering establishment without being asked with much respect for where they were about to enjoy a meal to celebrate a birthday all this evidence is available via live video footage on Facebook very discrimative towards to gang members whom were more respectful than the manager of this establishment no good Anna you need an upskill course to readjust your people and management skills

Food is always amazing and the women behind the bar are usually upbeat and friendly. I love popping in for a cold one after work. Downside, not enough seating but that's to be expected. Would be great if they were able to add an upstairs area in time

I perform in one of the live covers bands there regularly and cannot say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff there are. The taps have a great range and the food is good solid pub grub which fuels our rock n roll energy well before we take to the stage. Every single time we've played we've had an amazing time hanging with the locals who frequent the bar. Such colorful characters and so supportive of having some fun. Check it out on a Friday Night, we're only one of the range of acts and I think you'll find yourself having a great local night out.

Service with just walking in gambling room with a drink was friendly & helpful, even before we ordered our meal. A table was set aside for us despite the Bledisloe Cup crowds coming thru. My partner adored his sirloin steak & my porkbelly was crackled to perfection with the mushroom sauce & bourbon mashed spud. Highly recommend the friendly atmosphere of both staff & patrons.

50/50 on the staff - one was next level attentive and friendly, the other was polar opposite. Wine was a generous pour and well priced, menu was a good size, reasonable prices and tasty. The facilities could use a bit of TLC
