Under the circumstances have to give them 5 star. Waitress was very friendly and poor woman was on her own due to under staffing as many businesses are struggling now. Food was very nice and price was good value. I liked that I could add my own salt, which I didn't as it was perfect for me as it was served

The team did a great job with our wedding reception in the craft beer room. Everything looked amazing and the food was excellent. Dedicated waiting staff were professional and attentive. Space was perfect. The whole evening went off without a hitch. Whilst many may not think to use such a venue for a wedding reception. we firmly recommend the Supply Room as an option - they were great! Thanks again Katie and team!

One star seems like a reach While we wholeheartedly appreciate the condescending tone paired with tired sarcasm in response to our review, a genuine acknowledgement of the faults in their service would have been sufficient. Admittedly, a few guests arrived on time with the remainder of our guests arriving 24 minutes late. However, 2 hours & 56 Minutes after arrival for a 3-course dinner is ridiculous. We did order drinks upon arrival but were honoured with observing our waitress learning to make our drinks on the spot with the help of other bar staff. Also, we only left the table after an order was taken. They had one server on for 17 guests until someone else could be bothered helping her. I verbally confirmed a set menu with the manager TWICE (if this went over her head and she required written confirmation, I completely understand, comprehension can certainly be hard) yet we arrived to find no menus. When these were eventually brought out, it was obvious they were hot off the press as they weren’t prepared citing that the manager “needed confirmation” of the set menu (again, comprehension isn’t easy for everyone). Reading through the reviews, it seems timing is constantly an issue, so if you intend to book here, you’ll just have to cross your fingers and, “hope the team scheduled can magically cook things quicker.”. While I’m not well versed in the mystic arts, if I’m paying for food and service, I fully expect your team to use whatever spells they can to “magically cook things quicker”. I agree, it was not ideal that our party arrived 24 minutes late but I do hope they can also agree that mains served 1 hour and 58 minutes after arrival is also not ideal. I digress, thank you for an experience we will never forget Supply room.

This was the best experience I've ever had dining out at a restaurant. The manager and all the staff were super friendly and nice. The food was incredible. I could barely finish it it was so filling. Do recommend if you're in the area come along to supplyroom to see what I’m talking about.

We had our engagement party here and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful and the manager had great communication to help put together the night for us. We love coming here on the weekends for coffee and brunch too. We also hosted a 60th after this in D4 and it was a great spot to get everyone together.

We couldn’t be more grateful to the wonderful Jordan and staff at the Supply room when booking at the very last minute a venue for a large number of people following a family funeral. The place was warm, inviting and very relaxing. The food platters were amazing and plentiful! We loved the personal touch of being asked if we wanted music and what we wanted as listen to. Thank you Jordan for making the whole experience completely stress-free and under the circumstances very enjoyable! We would highly recommend the Supply room as a venue for any occasion.

Worst service ever. 40 minutes waiting, calling the the waiters a hundred times and no one came. Finally when we went to the desk to order they had almost an hour of waiting for any food to be done. It's better to walk some meters and go to sand bar, as we finally did!

Went to dinner with family (6) food was delicious, took a while to come out but one of our waitresses (Robyn) kept us informed and was friendly and polite. There was a little mix up with the size of one of the meals by a different waitress but overall a nice place to eat. We will be back.

Great place to party and have fun. They are kids friendly and lots of parking. Place to go on a weekend to find yourself.

We came at 6pm on a quiet Sunday evening, the place was mostly empty; within half an hour there were only a few tables free. Our meals were delicious. The lamb shank pie was heavenly - big, pastry perfectly cooked, looked amazing, smelled wonderful, real melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, tasted divine. The mash, peas and mint jus (i.e. gravy) were likewise delicious. The pan fried Chatham Island blue cod was hot, the batter was crisp and not too thick, nice big pieces. The salad wasn't swimming in dressing but had just the right amount, and the chips were hot and crisp. We could not fault our apple and blueberry pie - sweet, hot, tasty, arrived quickly. The service was great. The place was busy but we were attended to quickly, and our meals arrived within a satisfactory time. A great range of beers at surprisingly good prices, likewise their wines. There were a couple of negatives; running out of sticky date pudding was pretty devastating (kidding). More seriously though, they could have done with turning up the heating a bit, there was a sudden rush of cold air whenever the door opened, and we noticed several other patrons appearing quite chilly. Despite being busy and having several family groups, the noise level was not excessive, and it was a nice change to not be able to see multiple TV screens from my seat. Plenty of parking, easy access. Staff were all friendly and professional. Oh, nearly forgot - prices were really good 😊. I'll definitely be back.

Nice food but because we hadn't been there before they charged us 2 extra items which they thought we wouldn't notice , which we didn't order, when i looked over the total the waitress took one of them off the recite but left the other one , didn't want to make a fuss but quite dishonest service.

Went for dinner on a busy Saturday night - there was a large private function on in the craft bar that had arrived late which meant that their meals were ordered about the same time as ours but even though we had too wait a little bit longer for our meals (10mins or so) when the food arrived it was presented beautiful and tasted even better.!! Serving staff were friendly, polite, responsive and we even shared a few jokes ! They kept us up to date with why there was a delay to our meals and when they would arrive. Had a great time and will not hesitate to go and dine there again !

Am always visiting as the staff are super friendly and they have a great selection of food and wine. Have business meetings there Wednesday mornings and the scones are hot out of the oven and delicious. Highly recommend. Thanks to your lovely staff who always go the extra mile and provide an amazing service!

Interesting and varied menu, definitely above average for pub fare. We were a table of 10 and everybody enjoyed their meal. The venue is incredibly loud, so ask to be seated at the front (entrance) or upstairs if you're dining with more than 1 person, as you'll struggle to hear them otherwise.

Long wait for food to be prepared, system error-staff kept us informed

Portion size for mains have reduced in size over a year, for example the seafood chowder bowl last night was so much smaller than last year along with an increase in price? $44 for their most expensive steak which isn’t on the website and again portion size versus price 🤷🏽‍♂️ And these dishes were made for my family. I’m giving this review because I paid for it. Awesome staff and very professional.

I highly recommend Supply Room as a venue to have any function. I had me wedding reception here a few weeks ago and it was picture perfect. I couldn't fault a thing. The staff were wonderful- super friendly, professional and very accommodating, nothing was a problem. Even recommending a band for the entertainment (which we had and he was fantastic)! The food was top quality, plentiful and delicious. We were the first function to have a buffet meal there and it went off without a hitch, catering for over 80 people, our guests commented on how perfectly the beef fillet was cooked and complemented the chef. To top it off the views are stunning looking out over the sea, the perfect back drop to go with a perfect evening. Thank you so much to the Supply Room and all it's staff, thanks to you my wedding day was more than I ever imagined.

We arrived at 6pm for booking. Had to wait two hours for the group i was with (all 18 of us). Waitresses were everywhere but it wasnt busy. Poor management, poor service. Food was average. Wouldn’t recommend it. Left at 10:30. Unsatisfied customer.

Celebrated my 50th birthday dinner here. I would like to thank the dinner service on Wednesday 26th April 2023. The staff were diligent and efficient, very pleasant and happy throughout the evening. Supply Room offer takeaway riggers, so I thought I’d pop in for a takeaway rigger. 1.2L at a cost of $33! Easily the most expensive rigger I’ve ever purchased anywhere. Looking at the menu, craft beers $15 as well. Won’t ever be back purely for the overpriced beer. It’s Porirua, not Manhattan.

Had a great time! Excellent craft beer selection. Live band playing. We arrived at like 8.30pm and they couldn't do food. But the delicious 6-7% alc/vol beers filled us up.

Best time out here and the food was just amazing we had such beautiful platters which such a variety of selections for everyone. The bar Staff and owner were just amazing with our party we would definitely recommend and come back in future ☺️

Was there for a private function, so was in the upstairs function room. It worked really well as a number of us had hearing issues & being able sit 12 around a square table away from general restaurant noise was excellent. Great service too.

Have been back to supply room a couple of times in last 2 yrs. The food has improved and the service was good. Price was reasonable. Nicer on a hot day, sitting outside, having a cold pint.

Had a family lunch here, with a booking. Staff were pleasant and food was mostly reasonable. Service times were dreadful. Took half an hour to take our orders and another hour to get our food. When we asked for updates on how much longer the food would take we were lied to. Other diners were having the same experience. Waitress was trying her best but there were obviously badly understaffed. Won't be back.

Room for improvement on the service. We just wanted to eat and go as we had somewhere else to be. My bad for not telling the staff that we were on a time schedule. We waited around 40 minutes for our meals and the table who came in after us was served their meal before us. I suspect our meals were sitting in the kitchen waiting to be delivered as my husbands meal was also not very warm. The fish and chips could be better. The fish was more batter than fish. The pork dish was excellent. The staff were friendly.

Brilliant place for a quiet drink or a full meal. I enjoyed the spicy rispy chicken burger with kumera fries, delicious and well priced. A massive selection of home brewed beers and a reasonable selection of wines means everyone will find something they will enjoy

Enjoyed the coffee and the food is great, but 3 jalapeno poppers for 9.50 is a bit expensive. Maybe if there was 5 or more for that price

Ive been a few times over the past 2 years now and each visit the service has been a bit average. Sitting at tables waiting to be served, slow arrival of meals, stuff not available, staff looking "over it" etc. Despite this its a nice location with decent food.

The first time I came here for breakfast with a friend, everything was perfect: the price, the wait time, service and the food itself. This time, 2 of us waited for 35-40 minutes for eggs florentine with asparagus (I think it's eggs benedict on their menu) which was far too long, particularly as there weren't many other patrons at the time. However, the food was absolutely delicious so I'll probably return again soon 😊

Sadly had to walk out after 90 plus minutes of waiting for mains, and having to ask for drinks. Disappointing lack of service. Really wanted to support local, and had an out of town visitor to impress. One star is generous.

Shocking service tonight. Took 20 mins for the waitress to come and serve us for drinks and we had to call her over for that. Ordered our food at the same time. An hour later still no food served an in the time we were there we saw the table beside us arrive after us, get served quickly, get their food, eat it and leave. We still had not been served our food, there were only three of us. After nearly two hours of being there and receiving very bad service and no food, we got up and left and went to the Co Opt in Whitby. Where the service was the complete opposite, very welcoming with delicious food.

Food presentation was a bit meh as it was served on a well worn piece of wood. The burger pattie was tasty. Standard pub grub.

Absolutely love the food here. The only negative i had was the long wait. But the food is delicious every time i visit. One of my favourite restaurants.
