Great beach, especially for families with young kids. No waves, shallow and warm. Public toilets and shower available. Lots of pipi and crabs which are fun to play with. Decent fish and chips down the road.

Good place for a picnic in the summer. Or for a quick dip to get the circulation going. Has changing rooms, toilets and showers. Reasonable carpark but does get filled up quickly due to it being a popular spot.

Lovely spot for a wander to enjoy the scenery. From the suburban hills, to the sand and water of Pauhautanui Islet, to the colourful boat sheds arrayed along the shore. Lots of birdlife to enjoy too. Dolly Varden Beach is a great place for a relaxing stoll. Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the vicinity.

Beautiful beach situated right on motorway in Mana, very clean toilet facilities. Pleanty of car park space. I use it as my stopover when going or coming from long way. Very clean and peaceful.

To all dog owners: off lead beach does NOT mean that your dog is allowed to run up into my child’s face. You can control and call back your dog even on ‘your beach where children should not be’.

Great spot, 24 hour toilets are clean and well lit. The bonus was the coffee shop on site offering great service with a smile.

Nice little rest stop with small coffee shed and toilets. Great at low tide for a walk around to the boat sheds

I was surprised to find such a nice place for a walk just off SH59 in Mana. There is a trail which skirts the edge of Te Awarua-o-Porirua Harbour towards the northeast. Well-maintained. Great for walking, dog-walking, pushchair pushing...my nearly 3 year old even found it good going on his tricycle despite some short hilly bits. Will recommend.
