👍👍 We were very impressed with it. It's a research and education center. There were volunteers on hand to answer questions. I was told by a local that it was recently rebuilt after the damage from Hurricane Harvey. It's a beautiful facility. There were beautiful fish in tanks. People often mention free,

Very interesting and informative. Great place for children, hands on learning as well as visual. There is also an outside component you can visit if you can tolerate the heat depending on the time of year. The center is free to visit but welcome donations.

Small but highly educational and the Kids Loved it. The People working there are AMAZING and took so much time with us. We'll be back on our next visit to Port A!

We were so happy to see this place open again. They have greatly improved upon it. We all loved it. Another free activity when the sun is too hot. Highly recommend

This place is free! It has air conditioning. Every time we've gone, it has never been packed. They have a touch pool with urchins and hermit crabs, several tanks, and loads of interactive displays full of info about the local marine life.

Newly refreshed and open since October 2022, small but free museum, interactive displays and medium aquariums. They also have a nice outside tidal marsh area to walk around and see fish, birds, and other wildlife. Right next to the Jetty and beach as well,

On a rainy day we were looking for what to do and this museum in was perfect. It is free and has plenty of parking space. It is modern, clean, well organized but small. We spent 30 min. At a slow pace perhaps 1 hr

Almost everything was interactive and appropriate for all ages. It takes less than an hour to read/see/do everything. I initially stopped because we needed some A/C and a break from the sun. However, UT Marine Science Institute should have been one of my planned travel destinations! They told us about an upcoming release of rehabilitated sea turtles. Plus, it's free.
