We loved it here. It is very clean, the staff are very helpful. We love that it is near a trail to walk or ride bikes. There is so much to do. The quarry is beautiful. We even took our kayak in there. There is a beach, people were scuba diving and fishing. Great place for kids. Playground area is really nice. There will soon be shade when the trees grow. Unfortunately they were hit with that tree disease which kills ash trees and lost a lot of trees. We highly recommend this campsite.

Bathrooms are disgusting. Not very organized. Was told I could have 2 adults and 4 kids but had to pay for the 4TH child . My site was full of garbage when I got it. I cleaned it up myself. Overcharge for wood and you can't bring in your own wood. Probably won't be back.

Beautiful location at the quarry and nice to be along the great Canadian trail. And that was the reason we chose to stay here. The park itself is in poor condition for a business that has been around since 1982. The sites are too narrow and one gets out of the vehicle onto the grass. In summer when it is dry, it probably be OK, but in May, when we were there, the place was a swamp. The nice helpful girls at the entrance got us another higher spot out of the swamp. The road coming into the park is full of potholes one after the other. The roads thru the park leave much to be desired. The campsite areas are very barren and not a lot of trees and bushes for privacy. You are given a wristband to wear upon entry and you have to sign a waiver. This is ridiculous for campers. I can see that for daily use to go swimming, etc, but not for campers. For a park that has been around for that long, it looks like nothing was put back into it to improve it. We have been at a lot of campgrounds and this one is most certainly at the bottom of the list. If it wasn't for the quarry and the trail, I would rate it less. We were very disappointed.

We really enjoyed are short time at the park with family and friends. There are several activities for kids and adults as well. Lots of fun to be had in the beautiful quary, water activities and life jackets available to rent. There is a long bike trail outside of the park, a bouncy pillow, playground, volleyball, ping pong table and more. You are not allowed to bring in any wood but they sell bags of wood at the main entrance. There is also a snack bar beside the Quarry, the beach has several seating areas with umbrellas and a washroom close to the beach. Our site 143 had a large pole which did not make for nice morning view and the dump site is in an awkward location, also be careful when going in or out of the park as the entrance is extremely narrow and will only fit one trailer!

Sites were large. Customer service top notch. Quarry is a Niagara hidden gem. So much to do. Inflatables, cliff jumping or just going in to cool off. They also rent paddle boards/pedal boats and some other water toys. We hadn't planned on it but also visited the food canteen multiple times. The French fries and chicken fingers were fantastic. Thanks Windmill Point for a fantastic weekend. FYI they did plant trees on many sites but there is not a lot of shade on the sites themselves. At the beach there are a ton of umbrellas in their beach area to provide shade.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were very well kept and clean, The washrooms weโ€™re spotless. Itโ€™s located near the friendship trail for a nice walk or bike ride. We will definitely return to the campground to stay again.

Went SCUBA diving at the park and was not disappointed. The quarry is spring fed and has excellent visibility compared to other local quarries. There are lots of fish in the quarry. I saw sunfish, bass, trout, and a very large catfish. The water is warm and the park isnโ€™t over crowded. Admission price is fair at $15 for a day. A great place to come on a hot day to swim, sail, or just relax in the water. Will be back again!

Great hidden location to bring your camper, rv or tent. Many outlets for power and water. A great little lake with a section for kids to play. On water obstacle course. Play area as well. Showers, washrooms and lots of entertainment options. We will come again for sure.

Its first come first serve so we paid for 2 sites and only got 1 because we couldnt find 2 next to eachother assuming it was booked a head of time because no one mentioned this to us. We were also woken up at 7 am both nights we stayed because of scuba divers in the early am.

No real beach. Just quarry. 25$ for two people to spend two hours. It was pretty and the company was good but way over priced.

Just love camping here. The staff are great. We bring our martial art school students here every year and they always look after our needs. The kids love it and have great memories. Thanks for always giving us these great memories.

This is such an amazing place for a swim, It has a quarry filled with water, you can rent a kayak and go riding. I went camping for a week, the water was beautiful. It has barbeque grills ready at all times, as well as picnic tables. Somedays it's very quiet other days its a party! If you wanna take a swim for maybe the last time this year, I 100% recommend this park.

Hi folks I thought Iโ€™d write a review about my experience at Windmill!! Starting off with the staff everyone is super friendly and helpful. The grounds are super clean including the beach and swim areas.Pumper Steve did our trailer dump for us. He was helpful because being our virgin voyage camping I had no idea what I was doing. He was happy to answer my questions and offer good tips to me! Thanks for that Steve!! The age groups across the park from children to retired folks and dog friendly! The park was quiet and relaxing for the week we were there.our entire experience was fantastic and we will be back again for sure!! The only thing I wished you had on site was a snack shack or something like that. I miss getting a coffee on a morning walk. You canโ€™t have every single thing lol. It certainly is not a deal breaker for me check them out you wonโ€™t be disappointed!! Dave and Andrea Handley ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I highly recommend this park. The place was absolutely beautiful and clean. We had issues with our RV when it was time to leave and the staff were fantastic to work with. The manager of the park went above and beyond to help us out and spent a good part of the day working with us to get a tow. Thank you Jerry!!!

For a campground that has been family run for generations, you can definitely tell that care and consideration have gone into it. This quite quaint and fun breakaway off Dominion Road in Ridgeway is not only inexpensive but there is lots to do. Many modern sites to accommodate even the biggest 5th wheel trailers to the single tent camper is available. The very clean bathrooms and lovely sandy beach area were great. The bouncy pad on land and the wibbets, (water inflatable area) was a lot of fun. The staff was very polite. The grounds are excellent and easy to navigate, no unsightly overflowing garbage cans. An added bonus is that they are very much pet friendly and welcome all sorts. What a fantastic way to spend some down time. Thank you staff and owners of Windmill Point Park. Well done!

A less hectic Sherkston, quiet, peaceful and enjoyable. The floating waterpark was incredible and the security was noticable and appreciated. I did wish the snack bar was open more often than just on the weekend.

The park was good the only thing I didn't like was the men's washrooms they sprayed all the dirt and what ever against the back wall and just left it time for a new cleaner and hand dryers that work l will try another. Park in the area to compare next time

Campground is a field with packed in sites, few trees and in need of repair. Our site was atrocious, backed on a road and the entry booth - with cars, headlights and noise all day and night. Staff was pleasant but disorganized. When one of our teens was on his own, the owner approached him to question whether he lied about being only 17. I was not refunded my deposit for life jackets...an extra hassle. Camp staff did lend us a hose. Overall I would not recommend.

Decent park with a great feature in the quarry-turned-lake. The park itself is a bit rundown and needs more mature trees to provide some privacy and character. The bathrooms were a mess, even during COVID and there are potholes in most of the roads....but the real gem is that lake. Beautiful clean water, awesome "cliffs" for jumping and large enough to give everyone their own little area. A great family day out or camp out.

  • 3/5 Veronica C. 3 years ago on Google
Could be lots of fun...but come prepared. Itโ€™s very rocky, water shoes are highly recommended. Lots of places to jump off rocks which is great for older kids who can swim really well. Otherwise you can bring or rent a life jacket. The shallow area is ok, but also rocky. This place might not be fun for parents with small kids. The fishing was also ok. Lots of small fish (rock bass).

Excellent sites and services. The staff were always personable and professional and treated my entire family with respect and kindness. I would recommend this campsite to anyone who has a family and are mature enough to understand and respect the rules that help everyone enjoy their stay. Beach was clean and water was cleanier. What is not to like about this place....absolutely nothing. A true hidden gem.

Great for a day trip or to camp/RV. Not great for very small kids as they only have a quarry to swim in! Not alot of shaded areas or Bech area either. But otherwise fantastic place to go for the day!

  • 3/5 Adi S. 3 years ago on Google
Decent hang outspot. The area is nice and clean, the staff is wonderful and very helpful. Tons of lifeguards on duty. Only complaint is, there's not enough shade on a hot day. If you enjoy the sun then this is a Hotspot for you but if you hate the heat like I do, you'll go nuts.

My family and i including my dog always visit here during the summer time, it is such a nice place to visit to beat the heat with the quarry water. Staff are young but friendly, over the years this place has become quite the busy spot but its still enjoyable if you can find a day they aren't very busy.
