A place that truly exudes elegance and greatness! Jon, Maria, Brandon and the team made the experience exceptional. Not only their drinks were divine with recipes made from the stars, but their warmth, passion and friendly smiles and conversations really made our night memorable. They deserve the award for real, I'm sure next year they'll reach top 20 or even top 10 for their impressive feats! Highly recommend Cherry Pop and Rum de Violette if you like something sweet, yet strong in effect!

this is really an experiential bar, titillating your senses in every manner. from the design of the place, the taste and balance of the drinks down to the friendly banter with the knowledgeable staff! the drinks are top notch and the owner and staff are just a delight!

Attentive bartenders and service crew that will assist you with your drinks. If you have a hard time figuring out what you like, they will try to recommend you something that’s their specialty or create an off menu drink that fits your taste profiles. Small space makes for good conversation with friends that you’re going with. If there ever exists an alcohol omakase, this would be it. Enjoyed watching the bartenders make the drinks with finesse. If you are looking for delicious, balanced, spirit forward cocktails, then you definitely drop by this place. They have a variety of drinks to suit your palate and if you are unsure which one to start with, the friendly team behind the bar will gladly guide you along. I have tried almost everything and my personal favourite (so far) is the Cherry Pop! If you are feeling peckish, you can order some light bites from the kitchen next door. I love the ambience here. The easy, neutral tones gives off a chill vibe. This definitely helps to get you into a relaxed mood to imbibe on the alcoholic beverages which comes your way later.

Quite a cool cocktail bar that worth visits. Good service and better make reservations during weekends. I like the way they keep clean and neat, staff also react fast and tidy. It matters in service industry. The cocktails that we ordered taste good and definitely will return to try others in the list.

Top 50 bar in KL. Excellent service offer by their servers and bar tenders. They have good varieties of cocktails and mocktail unique to this bar. Environment wasn't too noise and tables and chairs were well maintained.

Best bar in KL and they are 2024 Asia Top 50 Bar! Overall their cocktails taste are balance , I wish the alcohol can be more 😁 the staff are very friendly and will give suggestions according to your preference. We went on a Wednesday night and it was full , thought that it will not be crowded during weekday 😯 I would suggest to prebook before you go .

Really good cocktail bar that has been voted top 50 in Asia. The staff were really friendly and helped me choose my drinks and also gave me tips for other places around the area. They also seem really well traveled when it comes to trying cocktail bars in KL and Malaysia. TBH, I can’t even remember what I ordered (pretty sure one was the smoke and honey) but they were all strong short drinks and were delicious. Because I ordered 3 drinks I even got a discount which was nice and unexpected. Thanks Penrose for a great time.

A very class cocktail bar in town. Cocktails are delicate, sleek and high quality. Limited seats available, so remember to do booking first to avoid dissapointment. Since most of the seats are at the bar, it is better if you come in small group. You can expect warm hospitality from the team, including service crew, bartender and owner (if he is around). Overall, a nice cozy place for quality cocktails and some good chat!

Chanced upon on Google and decided to reserve for drinks. And this is the most amazing experience I ever had when it comes to service, friendliness and drinks! I would recommend order Oba Rossa, Dita, Ume Fuji and storm and spice! Bar snack is OK so I would suggest eating before coming over! Order 3 drinks @ 148RM which is probably a good deal!

Hidden bar - took me awhile to figure out where the entrance was. Very cool!! Ordered 2 drinks here. 1. Oba Rossa (tequila based cocktail) with a hint of sweetness and sourness. 2. Penrose Gibson; my first time drinking a savoury cocktail. Interesting experience! It’s almost like drinking cold soup. Go for this if you like umami flavours. Excellent bar with attentive service and solid solid cocktails. Their cocktails were inventive yet so good. I had the Oba Rossa (RM55) I thought id be put off by the oba leaf because it was a little umami but the leaf along with the meringue added such an interesting dimension to the drink and really elevated it. It was so easy to drink and I finished it quickly. It's a small bar, but extremely cosy and intimate. 1000/10 would come again.

This bar is the bee's knees! The bartenders and service crew are friendly and the drinks are deliciously balanced and flavourful. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good time and sip on some seriously tasty, well-made cocktails. Pro tips: -The bar has limited seats, would totally recommend making a reservation ahead of time. It gets busy after dinner around 9pm onwards. - It also gets cold, so bring a jacket! - The door is on the right side of a tiny window. Just give it a hard push and you will be rewarded with big smiles!

My fav place for cocktail in 2023! The ops manager Brandon and the whole team were very professional, attentive and knowledgeable about what they are doing… this prove the boss here lead the team well! Nothing fancy about the interior but it’s cozy. Every drinks were carefully crafted..! The price is fine considering the quality of the drink! Love every moment here!

If you are looking for an exceptional selection of cocktails and appreciate the making of it, Penrose is the place. The concept of the bar and the concept of a drink making will take you by surprise. This is not a place to enjoy the ambience, but rather a really very good cocktail in a good company: to impress your senses and your friends. The staff are very accommodative and attentive.

Had a hard time trying to find this place, but it's that big metal door that opens in next to Wildflowers. The dude in Wildflowers reluctantly showed us where Penrose is, I guess he's losing his customers to the next door neighbour. Inside there is that cool, sleek and modern sharpness that you'd imagine conceptual bars to be. The list of cocktail is eclectic and deceptively simple, which is also a good way to describe the cocktails. Maybe it is too subtle for me, but I still enjoyed my drinks here. I guess I expected deeper flavours.
