One word... PRICE! Oh my God does this place have the best prices in the whole of the western hemisphere on the island. A cup of tea goes as low as 25MUR (03/06/22), date is important Incase of inflation in the future😂. Nevertheless this place has the best snacks for a quick bite, lunch, breakfast or dinner! From desserts to savory Pakistani bitings this place has it all. Definetly must visit, cozy place to chill with friends as well. The staff ever so welcoming and warm. I don't speak the local language, certain items don't even have price label, yet I was given accurate pricing and services. Located at the heart of the busiest city of the island in portlouis, Pakistani Hotel is DEFINETLY without a doubt one of the restaurant you need to visit whenever on the island.

The staff were very helpful. The chai and the curry sandwiches were amazing. The owner took time to explain the history of the eatery despite ongoing customers and according to him it opens 364 days a year (the only exception being eid) from 7 to 2 am everyday. He offered me a 50% discount but I felt so bad how could he keep the diner going if he charges so low for the good food. Back then It was shocking to watch Drew Binsky’s YouTube channel where he shared his experience of being offered almost everything free in Pakistan, from tea to food and snacks, by friends and even strangers, as “Pakistani does not care about money”. now I get a first hand experience similar to his and it’s really heart warming

An icon of Port Louis and Mauritius. This place is less about having the best food experience and more about the ambience of being at a local place, sampling everyday life of a Mauritian with affordable take away snacks with your family or friends. The food is not great in all honesty, but the experience is fantastic and that really is evident when you are sitting having some gato pima watching the busy life of people and those serving. It really is a place that never sleeps. You want to know more how locals live? This is the place for you. For your everyday quick bite as well, this is a good spot. Some gato pima and a jitay doesn’t go amiss.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Cheap as chips. 4 meals for 500Rs. Watch the reviews of "Brian doesworld" You tube for more info. Basically, you arrive and choose a bread roll or bagette and then either fill with prepared food at rhe counter or add from the goodies on the counter. One of our party ordered beef curry and rice which he said was amazing. I enjoyed rhe chickpea filled roll and a cup of tea. Seating area upstairs to eat your meal.

This is a tea hotel that was founded in the 40s by an immigrant from the territory now known as Pakistan, before it was even a country. It purposefully catered to lower and middle class workers from the the city and still operated at odd hours. However, it rapidly became a popular food joint among horse racing enthusiasts due to its proximity with Champs de Mars. Interesting place but do not expect high sanitary standards or above average food & service. People come here for its special historical value rather than the food itself.

In 1920 this place was a hotel, but soon just became a place for food. The food is amazing and very cheap with so many choices of savoury and sweet food on offer. You will see people from all walks of life and from different places around the world. A couple of doors along to the right is the culture museum. And if you walk to the left is the bazaar, a very large market both worth a visit when in Port Louis.

A rating of 4.9 for the best tea in Mauritius. Long time known for ooening round the clock, 7 days a week. Now they closes at late night and open early morning. Go there for pain-tikka, gato piment and special typical mautitian tea. Would have been a rating of 5/5 if the persons buying bread would not pick and choose by themselves and more hygenic on cakes and snacks serving. Definitely a place to experience!

Unhygienic! They feed over 200 pigeons at the entrance and feathers and dust particles fly over the uncovered food. There's wide variety of food and service is ok but helas can't eat with such source of infection.

Pakistan Hotel is a Landmark! Service is quick, the standard of the food has been recognised for years and the atmosphere is busy and very typical of a shop that serves bread, tea and cakes. I love it

One of the last snack of this type left in Mauritius. Friendly staff and place to go to grab something to eat with a wide variety as well. I note that much effort is being done to accommodate families.

visited here after chancing upon it on Google. Was worth the trip-hole in the wall esque Street food, which consisted of picking a roll and getting it filled with food in front of you. We had chicken in the bun, which was cheap and cheerful. Also cannot forget about the chai, which was proper Pakistani chai. Waiters were very helpful, and the price was very cheap-would definitely go again and it's no surprise it seemed a hit with the locals.

I've been going to Pakistan Hotel since I was a kid. It's nearly become a habit. Atleast thrice per month, we have to visit for their freshly baked bread and piping hot tea. Nothing has changed. It's still the warm and cosy place that I remember from my childhood.

Check in yesterday around noon . The place was moderately busy. Service was rapid and welcoming . Quite an amazing variety of food , indian sweets and snacks displayed and for a reasonable price, one can have a yummy meal . Among the different snacks available, the ' piment farci ' gateau bringelle ' and ' gateau banane ' are a must .

My first time there and I was blown away by the choice of food of what is essentially just a snack place. My husband is English and he could seriously eat there everyday. The price is so reasonable. To be fair you cannot compare a Pakistani or Indian curry with a Mauritian curry, nor should you compare the tea. Mauritian food is as uniquely blended as it's culture and people.
