Beautiful view from room. One of the best hotel I have stayed at. Good facilities. Beautiful pool and good gym. Food was also great. Must try Indian butter chicken and pizza. Room service was also good. Even massage service is available you will be relaxed 😌.

The only good thing about this hotel is the security. In fact, the best thing about the whole country is probably the hotel, but when I give one star for everything and the hotel is the best part, when you know this place is a dive. On several occasions I was locked out of my room for several hours as my key card access would not work. I either waited in the hallway or down at reception and tell Engineer could be located to fix the door. On several occasions, I was told someone would be up immediately, and they just never arrived until I had to call them again. To add the air-conditioner was very temperamental. It was either boiling hot or freezing, and sometimes it didn’t work at all. I had several power points in my room that did not work. I also had to request for the tea and coffee making facilities to be replaced as the cleaners did not replace the stand from last time. Despite my request from housekeeping to have this replaced or topped up I was told someone will come up and do that for you. They never came and I didn’t bother to ask again because honestly I really don’t think the people who are running this hotel. Have any idea about Customer Service or hospitality

Hotel is good in terms of scenery, rooms are nice however service is bad. Had to wait nearly 30min to check in and the gym has a power issue. Elevators are a nightmare too with some being out due to service and the main pool area was under maintenance too, just too many things that cause inconvenience at the same time..

I just love this hotel and the service they offer. And their Stanley Club Membership is the best on offer compared to other hotels. It does need a bit of an upgrade, especially the carpet needs to washed throughout the hotel...but their service is beyond words. 5 stars always

Title: A Remarkable Retreat: A Review of The Stanley Hotel and Suites I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Stanley Hotel and Suites multiple times, and I can confidently say that it was a truly remarkable experience. During every visit to this hotel, I was captivated by the exceptional service, elegant ambiance, and impeccable attention to detail. The moment I entered the grand lobby, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who ensured that my check-in process was smooth and efficient. The hotel exuded a sense of sophistication and class, with its tasteful decor and luxurious furnishings. The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel's design was evident, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The room I stayed in was nothing short of magnificent. It was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with modern amenities that enhanced my stay. The plush bedding and comfortable furniture made it a haven of relaxation after a long day of exploring the city. The panoramic views from my room were simply breathtaking, offering a stunning vista of the surrounding cityscape. One of the standout features of The Stanley Hotel and Suites was the exceptional level of service provided by the staff. The dining options at the hotel were equally impressive. The on-site restaurants offered a diverse range of culinary delights, each prepared with the highest quality ingredients. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation of the dishes was nothing short of art. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I was treated to a gastronomic journey that delighted my taste buds. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, catering to both leisure and business travelers. The fitness center was well-equipped, allowing me to maintain my workout routine while enjoying stunning views of the city. The other standout feature is that the hotel has a big shopping mall equipped inside the hotel building and has a separate entrance to the hotel guests. In addition to all these wonderful attributes, the location of The Stanley Hotel and Suites was ideal. Situated in a prime area of the city, it offered easy access to popular attractions, shopping districts, and dining options. In conclusion, my stay at The Stanley Hotel and Suites exceeded all expectations. From the elegant decor to the impeccable service and outstanding amenities, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a truly memorable experience. Whether you're visiting for leisure or business, I highly recommend The Stanley Hotel and Suites for an unforgettable stay in comfort and luxury.

Staff were friendly, gym was superb, the restaurant food was nice, and the airport transfers were hassle-free, however for a 5-star hotel it is lacking in many areas. I booked an executive room on two separate occasions, carpets were heavily stained in both, and the furnishings tired. Room amenities were lacking (no slippers, robes, dental/hygiene/sewing kits, limited tea/coffee, no mini bar, missing door hardware, rainwater shower head not operational, hand soap bar was the only toiletry provided), internet coverage was very poor and expensive (charged at K140 for 3 days is a bit rich given the slow speeds). The pool was closed over the Christmas period for routine maintenance with no warning before our arrival. There was no porter or concierge. Most wine selections at the bar were unavailable. Overall, it was okay. I'd say it is a reasonable 4* hotel, but probably not what you'd expect from a 5* hotel at K800 per night.

Spent 3 days with my company team there. Heard so much about this hotel, and wasn't disappointed on my first visit there. Very guest friendly, and hospitality is wonderful as well. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious enough, and beds are very comfortable. Easily accessible by lift to hotel amenities and meal services are also very convenient. It's literally a door away to the Vision City Mall on the first floor, so very convenient to get whatever you may need in the mall without the risk of going outside the hotel premises. 5 star recommendation to anyone who wishes to spend your night, or holiday there.

The website states 24 room service but that's a complete fabrication they close at 10pm Open at 6 am was connecting between international flights and woke up to find they couldn't feed us so disappointed a big hotel that charge big money to leave you starving with nothing to eat. Not only are they guilty of false advertising but they lack the proper care to advise you about changes What's a 1000 kina a night for if you stay for 14 hours and can't even eat.... You call recption they just tell you they don't do that any more Had to go to bed hungry because of a straight out lie The gate way , air way , Hoilday inn , crown , and so many more hotels provide the actual services they have on there website GO STAY THERE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO EAT ..........

This is not five star. The carpet in the room was horribly worn and the blind was torn. As such i requested a room change: in the new room the wardrobe had no handles, the overhead shower didn’t work unless i tied string to it, and even then most of the shower jets were blocked. All the windows are filthy. They cleaned my cup in the bathroom sink without detergent and put it back, but it was still filthy. Very disappointing. The gym is operational but much of the equipment requires maintenance. The buffet breakfast is ok, you will find something no matter what you are after, and the pool outside is good.

The registration process in and out was smooth and quick. There are cosy single chairs to wait for kids. The concierge were friendly and favourable. The housekeeping was well done and ultimate credit goes to the in room service. It was never long and we tried many food and all were big portions and tasty. The brief walk to vision city mall is an advantage. Definitely a stay to look forward in future trip to POM.

Nice modern hotel. Rooms are nice and modern. Spacious. Food is great. Pool and gym massive. Security is an issue. Many drunkards and not dealt with. Security knew they were too drunk but allowed them to stay.

Half the staff are at best rude and surly and at worst utterly incompetent. Three people lost their cards in the lobby ATM while a hapless chap watched on as though he’d just seen a dog stand up on its hind legs and speak. It took four staff at reception to finally decide to put a sign on the defective machine - but at such a glacial pace that someone else also almost lost their card. No apologies. No assistance. Just blank stares. The restaurant staff were clueless and rude. An issue with the bill took an eternity to resolve. The rooms were missing basic amenities. Absolutely nothing functioned as it should. An absurd experience for PM’s top hotel. What a joke. Avoid at all costs.

I forgot my shirts inside the room. But, when I got in touch with the Reservation Desk by e-mail, He/She stored my shirts and returned them to me after few days I came back this hotel again. I'm very pleased to it. Thank you very much!

The good: hotel is appointed nicely with modern conveniences and fixtures. Staff is lovely, courteous and professional, including dining locations. On-site market has essentials. Food is very good, especially dinner buffet. The not-so-good: the lift (elevator) situation is abysmal. Four lifts all seem to work out of sync with the amount of demand which seem to be extremely high for some reason at all hours. And slowly at that. For such a modern facility it eludes me as to why. WiFi is almost unusable for even the most basic data needs. Even a WhatsApp or WiFi call are problematic. Cellular data may be a better bet. Electronic room entry systems are unreliable.

Top-notch luxury hotel in the capital city of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Beautiful hotel interior and room. Reataurant is immaculate, and food service is excellent. A mall is located right to the hotel with a direct connection. Upstair business lounge is added bonus if you can get in. I was staying here due to a missed flight connection, so I was presently surprised how nice this is. Easy 15-minute airport shuttle to and from the POM airport. Highly recommended for short overnight stop or long stay.

Great Hotel with some really good food options. The connection through to the biggest shopping centre in POM is also very handy.

The staff who answers the phone are all so unprofessional and they always never do what they promised. For example this lady who has a name tag with the name Isa promised to call me back regarding my issue with my uncleaned room, but she just brushed me off that she will call me back and then she disappeared.

Have never written a review, but this place deserves one. Currently a long-term stay, so talk from recent experience. There are a number of issues with this hotel: 1) Rooms have (large) cockroaches. One has to wonder when the hotel last did a spring clean. 2) Front desk reception are completely non-responsive and, on occasion, abrasive, rude and boorish. Staff need a lot more training in customer service. 3) Internet is intermittent, and completely cuts off for hours when there is a rain downpour. 4) Problems with air conditioning that took over a week to rectify, despite repeated promises it had been fixed. This is generally consistent with the slovenly attitude that runs throughout the hotel. Day-to-day senior management of the hotel seems to be in the hands of a crew of Australians who appear totally uninterested/uninvested in doing anything about anything. Given the cost of a room at the Stanley, there are better options.

You have most definitely have to try the buffetπŸ’πŸ½β€β™€οΈ It is delicious comfort food, extremely satisfying, appetising and most importantly worth the money πŸ’°. PS: There's salad and variety of dressings for the vegans as well. πŸ₯³

One of the best hotels in POM - service, food and rooms are all great. The large outdoor pool and deck area is fantastic. The hotel is connected to vision city, which adds a lots of options in terms of food, cinemas, pharmacy and supermarket.
