We
have
lived
in
Port
Talbot
a
few
years
now,
and
have
avoided
this
pub
when
it
was
known
as
the
copper
penny,
as
it
had
a
pretty
poor
reputation.
My
wife
decided
it
was
time
to
give
it
go,
based
on
the
pretty
good
reviews
the
place
had,
my
expectations
were
high.
As
carverys
go
it's
been
many
years
since
we
have
found
a
good
one.
Unfortunately
that
trend
hasn't
be
broken
here.
While
hot,
the
food
lacked
much
flavour,
the
meat
on
offer
was
small
and
not
very
generous,
the
veg
plentiful
but
either
overcooked
or
underdone.
The
food
wasn't
inedible
its
was
just
bland.
If
your
looking
to
eat
out
on
a
budget
and
are
not
fussy,
it's
probably
a
great
place.
The
beer
was
cold
and
of
good
quality
so
no
grumbles
there.
We
will
probably
go
back
and
try
a
different
offering
from
the
menu,
perhaps
that
may
be
better,
but
on
this
occasion
we
were
disappointed.
