The hotel itself was nice. I was disappointed with the service, noise level and room. Especially considering I picked this hotel because it appeared family-friendly and I was traveling with two toddlers. I asked for a pack and play upon check-in and was told one would be brought to our room. Several hours later I called to inquire, again, about it and was told that they’d have to see if one was available… I never received a call back or notice that one wasn’t available. Our room was located on the second floor and the bedroom was extremely bright, even with the shades drawn. I opened the window to check and found a large spotlight directly outside the window. It felt like we were sleeping in daylight. We attempted to move to the pull out bed due to the light, but the sound was unreasonable with kids running, slamming doors and shouting constantly. This was with a loud sound machine on. We enjoyed the pool, but the temperature was very chilly and my son was shaking after 20 minutes in it. Breakfast was a highlight; nice selection and the service was great.

We love this location. It is fairly clean and well maintained. Breakfast is good. Coffee decent. The pool is the reason we go but we are at the point of finding another location to enjoy winter pool time. The pools are WAY too cold. I mean, you’re indoors and shivering because it’s nearly unbearable. Time to up the pool temp! I’ve heard many people complain.

We did a one night stay so we could enjoy the hot tub and pool. Ross at the front desk was very polite and helpful. I called the front desk after our stay because I thought I left my daughters extra shoes in our room. Ross went upstairs and checked for the shoes himself and took my number incase they turned up. I love the customer service.

Standard rooms are entirely too small and you can hear everyone that walks by or staff having a conversation when you’re trying to sleep. Room doesn’t have microwave or refrigerator either. Elevators are slower than molasses, don’t be in a rush because you will be waiting minutes. On the other hand, service and location was great.

This hotel is cute. It's pretty clean. The staff are really nice. They have nothing to do with my opinion as they were great. "Quiet time" starts at 10pm which is a horrible time if you have small children who go to bed before then. The people above us have non stop had what sounds like a party above us and although I asked to change rooms, I wasn't able to per employee discretion. Even after 10pm there is not a "quiet time".The pool was nice but they ran out of towels because other families grabbed multiple at a time upon entering and employee's never restocked even after my husband asked for 2 towels after we were in the pools for 2 hours.. It seemed like there were way too many "guests" enjoying what real guests pay for. The hallways smell like weed and cigarettes. It's just not worth the money. Go somewhere else if you want quality.

We stayed here while visiting the Indiana dunes. There are 3 pools: a big one for actual swimming, a large hot tub, and a foot deep pool with sprayers and a slide for little kids. Hot breakfast was eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a waffle maker. We only stayed one night but it was great.

Never again. We are a family with three kids and when we go on vacation, a kid-friendly hotel is important to us. This place will NOT let your kids in the hot tub. We paid money to stay here and use the amenities. We should be allowed to. They have the most over the top security regulating their pool area that I’ve ever encountered in all of our years of family vacations. Actually, the ONLY pool security I’ve ever encountered. It’s ridiculous. This is a low-budget hotel and it’s completely over the top. We won’t stay here again.

We stay at this hotel 3-4 times a year as a halfway mark traveling to see family. We always have a great experience! Clean and friendly Staff.

The room was for the most part clean. Whirlpool looks like it needs some resurfacing in a spot, could look like dirt but I bought cleaning supplies on my own and now that is apart of the tub. Some remodeling wouldn't hurt. Staff was friendly, at checkin Tamarrow was very nice and helpful, Debbie at Breakfast also stood out as nice as well as the waffle lady (forgot name). Age of Hotel starting to show but would still stay again. Very conveniently located off interstate and by eating options.

I put location as a 5 star ONLY because it is around a lot of good places. However, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. It is disgusting! The floors were nasty, walls were gross, and the pool water was filthy. Upon stripping the beds checking for bed bugs (as I do in every other hotel) there was dry blood on the sheets along with dried urine stains. I immediately complained and after walking away to do vending machine I hear the cleaning lady talking negatively saying it was “bullshi….” And it wasn’t true blah blah. I had stepped out and said “I have pictures if you’d like to see them” the vending machines half work, and after letting the person know at the front desk he gives my Money back then says “just don’t use them” it was SO loud in there as well. all in all would NOT recommend to anyone

I held my daughter's 14th birthday sleepover here, and I was very pleased all around. Upon entry to the hotel, there was a clean, fresh smell in the lobby. The rooms were clean, & accommodated the number of guests we had. The most favorite amenity that everyone enjoyed was the pool! 🏊🏽‍♀️ The pools were very spacious, and the froggy slide 🛝 was a hit for even the teens! The location is right off the highway, so it was very convenient and easy to get to. Don't second guess this hotel at all. This was my first stay here, but it definitely won't be my last!

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff cleaned each table between each guest. There are numerous eating establishments within walking distance. I highly recommend you stay here. You will not be disappointed.

The hotel was so much nicer than we expected. It seems like the photos do not do it justice. Everything looked nice, smelled nice and was clean. Absolutely great location, close to the Dunes and right by many restaurants.

Very clean rooms and super polite/helpful staff. I really love that they have two different pools. That way the younger children can enjoy the pool as well.

Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Great pool area with separate kid pool. Hot tub ( I would recommend an age limit for the hot tube so the adults can enjoy it without rowdy kids who have their own pool to enjoy. Only thing that you could improve on is the public seating area. We enjoy playing games and cards on our travels. The common area table was a coffee table and too low to bend over and enjoy games, and so were the ones in the rooms.

We were there 5 days. Nice room for the cost. Breakfast was great every morning with good service there. The location is great. We would go back again.

Overall it was a great stay. Family and I were passing through to another state and stopped here for the kids themed pool. Pool and hot tub was awesome, free breakfast is a perk as well. The location is great for dinner options too both sit down and takeout nearby. Losing one star due to the overall state of the king suite on the second floor. The carpet needs steam cleaned and there are random drill holes by the pictures. Some cosmetic damage to the doors and random carpet stains. That aside, we had a great one night here. Customer service was top notch, hotel was quiet at night and I would recommend staying here to anyone passing thru traveling with kids.

This used to be a great place to stay, and depending on your needs, could still be. I will find a different place in the future, though. The pool area was very crowded and the other guests were incredibly rude. Toddlers were getting knocked over by older kids whose parents seemed to encourage that kind of behavior, and my kids had to dodge teens who were throwing footballs and doing cannonballs into the pool. I understand that it's not the hotel's responsibility to control guests' poor behavior, but tolerating it at the expense of safety isn't good business. The hallways are incredibly loud at all hours and I heard multiple screaming matches in the few hours we ended up staying this time. The room was okay, but the cracked tiles in the bathroom need to be repaired as they're very sharp. When I called to let staff know that we left early and why, I was told that it's Spring Break and there's nothing they could do about it. This is not a cheap hotel so I expected- at the very least- better customer service. If you're looking for a family-friendly environment, this may not be the best option for you. If you're looking for a place to party and want an upgrade from the other hotels on 20, this is your spot.

The location is great and the pool is nice. Biggest issue was that we got on of the more pricey rooms so that we had our own space and so did the kids. There was an issue with the room after the first night, maintenance wasnt there anymore, and they had to switch our room, not usually a big deal, but they didn't have any of the rooms like we had gotten. We were downgraded to a different room. I had to ask to be refunded the difference in rooms, because it wasn't offered. So we had to pack up all of our things and our kids, super stressful. The original room ran out of TP and they only do room cleaning every 3 days, which is fine but you had to go down to ask for toilet paper or towels. The second room we were in was okay but it got warm before the air would kick on due to a delay. The breakfast was olay but ran out of some things before we even got downstairs when there was still more than an hour left. The pool was good but crowded. I think next time we will opt for a smaller hotel with less people and similar amenities. Not an awful experience but definitely more stress than it should have been.

My family has been staying here for years. Unfortunately, the quality has really gone down hill. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that this is because of the pandemic. There was nothing that would prevent me from staying here again, but I just hope they can get back to their previous quality. In the past everything felt well taken care of but now you can see damages and it just feels cheaper. The room was very clean. The breakfast was always well stocked with many choices. This time it felt like we had come 5 minutes before it closed instead of an hour and a half. Probably the thing I'm most sad about is the removal of the beautiful staircase in their lobby. What used to feel like a quaint, quality inn now feels like any cheap hotel you can find off the highway.

Sadly our stay was less then great. We were given the incorrect room and the room we had booked was already occupied. My husband and I had to sleep on the pull out full size couch bed- together 😳😩 the mattress was about 2 inches thick and felt every spring. Our room wasn’t clean upon arrival. We went down for breakfast at 9:45 (ends at 10:30) we were told this is all we have left because we ran out of food. All there was is- 5 biscuits, 2 tiny cups full of gravy, 7 spoons of eggs. No cereal, no fruit, no bread or bagels. We had brought our 4 children to the dunes which is why we stayed at this hotel. For our family of 6 - Country Inn and Suites fits our family. We’ve NEVER had a problem with staying with this brand. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but cut it short to one night. Tried contacting CS to discuss but was tossed around on the phone.

The place was worth staying even thought the price might be higher then normal. Make sure you are aware that they charge a deposit for any incidentals that might happen in your room. The convenience and safety was warmly welcomed. The breakfast service was nicely put together. And when I had an issue large or small the staff paid attention and came to address the issue. Special Thanks to all the staff for a job well done!!

Really nice location - close to everything (Starbucks right next door)! Pool and kid slide was excellent for kids (was at the pool every single day we stayed!). Hot tub was nice, but it was very foamy (it shouldn't have been). Room could have been cleaner, but was not dirty by any means. Maybe a little more attention to bathrooms. Had some stains on the pillow cases, and several black "specks" on the comforter, and stuff on bathroom walls. Loved that breakfast was served until 10 a.m.! Had a great selection (eggs, bacon/sausage/biscuits and gravy (depending on day), fruit, cereal, yogurt, breads/bagels/danish, and waffles. Front desk and every one encountered was helpful and pleasant. Only issue was that the morning of checkout around 9 a.m., housekeeping was knocking on our door (checkout wasn't until noon). Would definitely stay here again!

After a disastrous experience at another hotel, we drove on 3 more hours to Indiana to find a better one and found this Country Inn. Beautiful, comfortable rooms, in a professionally run hotel. Best part? We got here at 3 am, exhausted, and found the most professional, knowledgeable, and personable night manager! Every hotel needs a manager like Ryan!

The service was amazing! Our room and pool was very clean! They had a wide variety of breakfast like French toast, waffles, bagels, oatmeal, eggs, etc. We loved our stay for my daughter’s birthday!

Room was rundown. They charge a $150 deposit yet the room is already damaged. Our bathroom was in need of major repair. Shower curtain had black stains on it. Cigarette burns on the carpet. Pool area was great and nice! Breakfast did not look appealing to my husband or I so we just grabbed a coffee and a packages pastry. Expensive for what you get!
