My friend and I were cycling our Saturday ride. We stopped for coffee at this cafe. We always pay by apple / google pay. And there was no POS acquiring, so couldn’t pay, but we were treated to free coffee and wished us a good day. Very nice. Thanks a lot

Never seen so little banana and Nutella served with pancakes. I should have taken a picture. Also one of our table ordered chips we'll you wouldn't want to be hungry. So little chips.

I ordered the eggs florentine, my colleague ordered the eggs benedict. Both dishes arrived with perfectly poached eggs on 2 scabby slices of soda bread, not a muffin as on the menu. We ate what was served and it was nice . I did complain that it wasn't what was on the menu and was told muffins 'can't be got' ....we were still charged €8:50 for 2 poached eggs on soda bread not eggs Florentine / Benedict

While in Portarlington I decided to have lunch and found The French 1/4. I was pleasantly surprised as my lunch was very good indeed. As I didn't have too much time to spare, I opted for scrambled eggs on toast with a pot of tea. The eggs were excellent and delicious and also available was Gluten Free toast. As I am Coeliac it was great to have the option. I'll certainly return on my next trip to Portarlington!
