Almost no educational display signs explaining the farm. Some people were building turkey coops while we visited. We asked if they would have had turkeys and were told probably not. Not sure why they were building them then. Couple of pigs, cows and some chickens. Not too much to see here.

This a smallish, somewhat historic farm at the Indiana Dunes. There is one main barn that you can walk through and a couple of interesting, informative signs posted. There are quite a few turkeys and a handful of other animals including a large and somewhat amusing pig. Not a place to spend a lot of time but a nice stop when hiking the beautiful connected trails. There is a free parking lot very near the farm that has covered picnic tables.

Relaxing hikes, different trails with varying distances. I think you need a parking pass now thats its part of national park. We got ours online and its good for one year at all the Dunes parks.

Nice little, unexpected treasure. Love the old house, animals were great, the cemetery was very unexpected. Worth a stop. Would want to hike more.

My family and I came here with some friends during our road trip and we were amazed at all the old buildings, farm, cemetery and distinct trails running all over the massive property. Definitely a great place for some family hiking or just to see the sites of an 1800's Era farm.

Pretty trees! And there are a few cows, chickens and pigs. A quiet and quaint area away from the beach crowd. We didn’t get to experience the whole area but 3 stars for the things we did get to see with the toddlers.

Amazing National Park in a very unusual setting. Had an Amazing day doing some of the more popular hikes! Bring water if you plan to do the extended hike at the farm!

This was a chill place to stop while walking the Chellberg loop. There are actually animals being taken care of here. We talked to a ranger at the farm that was just hangin' with the goats and she was very friendly and seemed to love the animals.

Aside from an incredibly judgmental cow it’s a great place to learn about the origins of the region

Nice, beginner level, walking paths. Some roots on the path, small hills, and stairways. Good place to take a midday walk in the woods.

This farm is part of the National Park Service. You have to walk quite a ways from where you park. There are farm animals the kids will love.

Maple Sugar Time Festival! Go to this (it occurs in the spring)! Great for kids and even for adults. It's about an hour guided edicational hike. It's also quite a sensory experience. Kids can drill a tap into a stump. The smell of boiling maple sap is FANTASTIC. There are animals to pet (they smell less fantastic), samples to taste, forest and farmhouse to see, stories to hear. The Parks Department staff and volunteers are excellent. They seem knowledgeable and friendly; I learned bits of American history, biology of trees, and climate science in the hour I was at the Maple Sugar Festival. I'm sure other events are similarly valuable. I'm also impressed with the accessibility at the farm. There are wheelchair ramps at (and inside) the historic farmhouse. For the trails, there are tracked machines that can carry a wheelchair with a person on it. The trails are wide and well cared for.

Great little history tour is the house, farm animals and lovely garden. They even sell some is their harvest across the street at the produce stand! I love that they share their fresh veggies so cheap! Volunteers keep up the garden, and stock the produce stand. Wonderful!!!

There was a ranger there to provide historic information. There was also a lady there baking on the old stove. There were no farm animals where we could see them.
