Our stay here has been pleasant and very comfortable. Every staff member I have interacted with have always been professional and very helpful. Our room was great, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are just awesome, and very helpful. Many people have their opinions about staying at "motels" or stereotype them. But this Motel 6 has been great. Everyone wants to have that I feel comfortable here feeling and we have had that since day one. Thank you Porterville Motel 6 for such a great experience.

So, I came here for my brothers wedding, I'm gonna start off with, its motel 6, so I'm not surprised there were roaches. But there were only 2, in our second room. And they were babies. So when we got our room we said we wanted a smoking room, which apparently we didn't get...... The first room we got was nice, clean, working AC. But the metal piece that locks the door in place when its closed, was broken, like it was kicked in at some point. So we requested a new one. That's when we found out we didn't get a smoking room. So our next room had no working AC, at all. My bro had to lend us a standing fan.... Didn't seem that clean. The light in the bathroom was non existent, which I liked if I was only showering. My brother I shared a room with, had to go to our dads room to shave. The location was good and most of the service was good. There was a pregnant worker in the office, there were 2 windows, I went to the one she was close to, and she walked away, like she didnt just see me walk in there. So I had to go through the door to the other window. I needed an extra pillow, and apparently they were out........ I dont think every room was full either..... And the last thing is, that night, there were 4 guys standing outside our door area for about 3 or more hours. I was scared. And our phone wasn't connected to anything... It was weird. But the other ladies were super nice and always kept asking if my family needed anything.

When staying at a motel 6 you don’t expect 5 star service but a blanket on the bed, and a clean room would be nice. 18yrs ago this place had standards and housekeeping worked hard at their job to strive for cleanliness. I don’t know if they don’t feel valued by management or just passing the billable hours but it’s definitely a last resort type of situation now when I consider visiting home and need a place to stay. If Holiday Inn wasn’t booked I would’ve gladly paid the $189 a night.

Good pricing on holiday weekend. It was only $109 for the night. They accept cash also which is a big help when you don't have any money on a credit card. Room was clean too.

Cockroaches in one of the room. It was cheap and dirty. The rooms needed to be cleaned better. The pool closed by the time we went to swim at 8:30. The fire alarm went off with strobe light flashing at 1am. It wasn't horrible, more like a $49 motel not a $90 one.

Great for the price. Convenient location close to the freeway, friendly service, clean rooms with lot of outlets for charging phones etc. Motorcycle friendly. Certainly recommended for anyone heading to Sequoia or Sherman Pass.

It was awful. My 70 yr old mother was locked out of her room while I was loading her case so I went to office and was very rudely told I was not getting in and my mother would have to go to office. Mind you she is a senior and disabled. But she went to office and the manager told her she had to have her I'd and my mom said if I had that I would not need back in the room but since my id is in my purse locked in the room I rented it is a little hard to show id till I get my purse and car keys. The manager finely had one of the maids unlock it and then walk all the way back to office to show her id. So went left and the next time a room was needed was informed she could no longer rent from that motel six with no reason or cause. That really put her in a bind while temps were reaching 117 degrees and no where to go. The manager needs to be fired due to many people complaining about the terrible treatment she makes people endure for no good reason!!! And the beds are worn to the point you can't get a good night's sleep to boot.

Don't even waste your money on this motel ladies and gentlemen bad customer service will add you to the do not rent list if your 4 to 5 mins late to check out also if your disabled they will automatically add you if you have a small accident. This property is every unprofessional but seems to be ok with drug deals going on the property. Every room I stayed in has had something under the bed from the previous renter or for weeks claiming to be clean when there's roaches roaming the room.

Rooms are pretty small compared to their prices. No Microwave and No fridge. You have to go to the office to heat up your food. The bathroom was good. Customer service was really good as well. Overall ill give it 5.8/10. Really close to three rivera and sequoia national forest.

Must be under new management, is alot different from when I last time came. The room was clean, and the service was good. Was born and raised in this town, so it made my visit more enjoyable.

I've called ahead a couple or days before arriving and asked if I got reservations would they be able to put us in two rooms that are together . The gentleman over the phone said he would. I reserved two rooms and called back and he said he was able to book us for those two rooms that were together. Fast forward to today and I get there and they said they gave that room away and the rooms they have for us were far apart and that the only rooms together would be downgrades. I told him that I would be fine with that and then with attitude he told he couldn't do that because he can't make another guess pay for the upgrade. So I told him I would pay for the other guess upgrade because I have a large family and I need my two rooms together. He then tells me he can't and that I have to take it or leave the rooms that they have.( with attitude of course) I give him attitude back and tells me my reservations are now canceled. Guy was upset because I met him with the same energy. Very unprofessional. I guess I shouldn't expect much from a motel 6.

I stay here quite often and have no complaints. The staff is very helpful I usually keep up on my room myself but when I need something they’re right there to help! I needed to check in early and was able to. There are restaurants close by and stores within walking distance.

Motel 6 Porterville 👏👏 hats off to you guys.. the front desk employees are so helpful..they go above and beyond to make sure guests like myself have the best stay possible!!! Didn’t have a charger, and it was to late for the store.. so I had to ask the front desk and they were happy to help and she loaned me a charging cube. The courtesy they have for guests is next to none. BTW (by the way) this is my hometown born and raised. Thanks guys, Round of applause for the people that keep the place up to par day in and day out ❤️ 09/16/22 - 9/17/22 room 138

Surprisingly nice hotel. Interiors seems like an overall redone . From outside it looks like any generic motel. But inside it's good. Some rooms are connected so you can be with your friends in next room. Not all rooms have refrigerator. No breakfast. Lot of parking. Small pool. Silent location. Nice people managing it.

I encountered a problem with my reservation upon arriving at the Motel 6 in Porterville, CA. Feeling stressed and worried, Ariel (the front desk clerk) displayed kindness and patience. She efficiently resolved the issue and found a suitable room for me. Her professionalism and friendliness put me at ease. Going above and beyond, she ensured my satisfaction and comfort. Undoubtedly, she is the best front desk clerk I have ever encountered. I deeply appreciate her exceptional service and believe she deserves a raise and a promotion. THANK YOU ARIEL, for making my stay at Motel 6 a truly pleasant experience.

You get what you pay for I guess. Friendly service and an ok room, but a bad neighborhood and the hygiene was not to write home about. Several hairs in the bed and my slippers were black after walking on the floor for a couple of minutes. Lots of trash outside and cracked pavement.

The kid at the front desk was just lazy and inconsiderate. The TV didn't work in my room which I guess is fine, but i felt line the sheets were not clean. So I laid a towel over them and slept with my clothes on. By the way, pool closes at 8pm, i mainly went their for the pool, thought it would be open till 10.

I stay here very often for work purposes. I love it, never have had a problem. Staff is very amazing and love the manager. Rooms are nice, AC's are brand new, Front Desk is fast and good at checking in. Can't say I would choose to stay at any other Motel 6

We got in late last night and I climbed into bed to find there was dirt, pieces of grass, dead leaves, and body hairs in my sheets like they weren’t washed. It was a small amount so maybe the sheet was dropped on the ground outside then used to make the bed without trying to even shake it off. Would not recommend staying here but it’s the cheapest option in the area.

Sammy at the front desk was amazing, he had the brightest smile on his face, he made we feel so welcomed during my stay. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Sammy!

Roaches in the room, floors dirty BIG TIME! alot of drug users staying there, no shampoo no conditioner and the beds are NOT comfortable... Place hires lower class of people that do lower class type of work... sucks because the standard for motel 6 should be better smh

The lady at the reception was really nice and friendly, but the location is absolutely horrible for travellers. It is by far the least safe place I felt in my journey, as junkies are all around this area - none of the owners' fault, of course, who try to keep the place with care.

I’ve stayed here over the years numerous times. The staff is great and things have changed recently! The hotel needs some upgrades but other then that, great price, pets stay free and kids!

I travel around a lot and often come into contact with the rudest people when booking a room. Luckily, this time around it was a breeze, the staff accommodated me and my needs without hesitation! :) special thank you to Samuel for all his help! Really made my stay pleasant. I will definitely be back again when visiting porterville :)

We booked our stay for a 7 day business trip and when my partner got there Isabel who is the lady working reception gave a completely different process for checking in then we were told from other representatives. She was very rude, had zero empathy for my staff who just drove 4.5 hrs from southern CA and literally walked away from us trying to communicate to find a solution. She stuck to what she was saying, did not apologize for the miscommunication and so far DAY 1 it's been awful. As soon as I get down there we will talk with a manager, but we are more than likely not going to be finishing out stay here. Smart way to lose business that was already earned. Vanessa was very kind and a pleasure to speak with during the reservation process, but this lady, how can we trust our stay is not going to be full of drama. We need to focus on business, this is not the place to do that. Poor customer service.

Well it's motel 6 so my expectations aren't high but surprisingly it isn't bad. I did leave a pair of glasses in there that had to of been taken my a maid. Weird thing about it is why? They're prescribed for my eyes and don't have a trade value of anything. It's expensive for a motel 6 and all but I enjoy it due to the you never know what's gonna happen but I did accidentally flood the floor with a few inches of water once and they didn't even trip so you win some you lose some. I wish they had a frequent user discount but it's ok. I will continue to stay there until I can get out of this town
