Great no frills Italian. Personally I’d order half portions and try all the pastas possible. I’d highly recommend the stuffed trout but there was not a bad dish from everything we ordered.

a cute and intimate setting. the pasta noodles were superb, but the sauces were a little mediocre. most of them were quite salty, and the shrimp was overcooked. for the price, i was expecting a little better quality the wine pairings were great.

I know it probably sounds boring, but trust me. GET. THE. CAVATELLI. And the Panna cotta. Seriously. Do it. Right now. Forget the other places. I tell my visiting friends the cavatelli was easily the best pasta I've had in the entire United States (and better than some in Italy... don't kill me). I tried to tell them but they ordered other stuff and wished they had my dish. It was our party of 6's unanimous favorite. House wines are great and the focaccia is also yum.

We have been to Luce maybe 10 times now. Every time we go we have a great time. Food is beyond delicious and the place is very charming. We usually let them choose what to eat and they never let us down. Prices are pretty cheap. Its worth getting halfs and sharing more plates with others! The panna cotta is maybe one of the best I’ve ever had. I would recommend showing up early if you don’t want to wait for a table!

It’s hit or miss here. The rigatoni with red pepper sauce was the finest I’ve had. The radicchio supli (arancini) was delightful. It’s one of the $2 small plates so go crazy and order more than one! The orecchiette and farro Parmesan pie were too salty. The summer squash topped with a (lot of) parsley pesto was very bitter.

We came by on a Friday evening just after 6:00 and got a table inside right away. I got a great wine recommendation from our server, and we were well taken care of the whole meal. The food was all incredible, but the sleeper hit was the tomato focaccia!

Came here for a Saturday night dinner during my trip to Portland. The place was fairly busy but no waiting at around 9. We got a seat. The place looked pretty nice with a cozy vibe. I ordered the hangar steak and half a portion of tagliatelle. The steak was perfect and so was the tagliatelle with beef and pork ragu. Definitely would definitely recommend that. My wife took the pork braciole with a side of leeks with butter and parmesan. This was also pretty good. The only negative and under things to improve was the service timing. All but the sides were served and that took a really long time. (I finished my dinner by the time her side came). Other than that it would have been a 5 star from me.

If you want good pasta, this is the place to go. I loved that they offer half and full size orders. This enabled us to order a few dif ones to share. We got two half size pastas at $10 each (full was just double the price), a salad (was huge enough to share), a dessert and corked a bottle of wine we brought ($17); cheap corkage if you ask me. This dinner came to a whopping $69 before tip and we left pretty full. This place is relatively quiet and is just outside of the downtown area; we didn’t drive but looked like there was a lot of parking nearby. An uber from DT was about $8. Service was great but I unfortunately forgot our server’s name. I would definitely come back here again and try their other pastas.

Nice place with fresh pastas, kinda intimate/dimly lit vibe it would be a good place for a date night. Patio tables with heaters available. I liked our server a lot but don’t recall their name, they seemed fun. My friend and I shared everything, I think it’s great that they offer smaller portions of pasta, if you’re more hungry you can get multiple courses to share for the table or if dining by yourself not get too much food :) we got the lemon ricotta raviolis and the corzetti pesto. i preferred the corsetti but both were good! The cheese board was good for the pricepoint but I think the foccacia (not pictured) was way better than the bread the cheese board came with. only thing i wish was better was more non alcoholic drink options. i understand it’s a wine heavy environment but it would be fun to have mocktails or flavored sparkling waters or something. i just ended up having tap water which is never really my choice when having a more elevated experience. overall i would still be happy to come here again tho

The staff is friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I had the radiatore with lamb and it was comforting and delicious. We asked the server for wine recommendations and we were very impressed. The panacotta was also perfect. I’d recommend the cabbage and the chicken liver pâté as appetizers.

if you like authentic Italian, this place is for you. There are many different pasta dishes to choose from and great salads, breads and desserts as well. Service was amazing and outdoor seating is a plus during applicable seasons.

Great little spot off Burnside. No reservations and limited inside seating so I would plan to get their during less busy times or be willing to wait during the dinner rush. The waitstaff was fantastic and recommended some very good wine. I’m a big fan of the fact that they offer half portions! Unfortunately the gnocchi left something to be desired. Still a great experience : )

Had a perfect meal here the evening before thanksgiving!! Everything was delicious— the wine, apps, pasta, salad, dessert. Great chic yet unpretentious vibes, small but mighty menu, perfect service. Pricing totally reasonable- love the half portion options for all salad and pasta so you can try whatever and not feel like you’re going too crazy. Will be dreaming about Luce til we can return to the PNW 💞
