Found this place online had an exceptional first experience considering the unfortunate situation with my beloved 15 year old girl named Lucky who was ready to go to heaven. Dr Leigh Ann is compassionate, accommodating, and explained everything in addition to other questions we had. They had many flexible times available online and are reasonably priced. She also came on time at a specific time vs other places that come during a window of time making the ancitipation worse. She came to my room and was willing to sit on the bed with our precious girl to do the service. She text me to confirm my address and sent me a sympathy card even after the fact we got in the mail today. This place exceeded my expectations and if needed I will surely use them again one day! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Laura P

Brought my baby Mittens in here after an encounter with a gifted bouquet that had lilies. For anyone reading this LILIES ARE DEADLY TO CATS - DO NOT BRING THEM IN YOUR HOME. The staff was super prompt and informative of the process. Mittens ended up being admitted and had 48 hours of tests, fluids, and kidney flushing, and induced vomiting. Of course, this was all terrifying to me but the doctors and staff called us every 8-12 hours just letting us know how it was going and they all helped me feel so much better. We knew Mittens was in great hands. Mittens absolutely despises the vet, and unsurprisingly, she hated this. Hated it so much she didn’t even eat the whole time. The vet tech kept telling me how much they were trying to get her to eat and gave her ALL the soft blankets to keep her as comfy as possible. It’s just really obvious how much they care. Thankfully she ended up being okay and I am so happy I brought her here. Now that the scary part is behind us I can’t stop laughing about how they shaved her. All in all, I hope I never have to come back here, but know that if I do my baby will be in the best of hands. Thank you to the whole staff and for putting up with my cranky little baby.

The provider we saw at Blue Pearl was well meaning, but I was pretty floored by what happened here with our new puppy. For context, my partner and I brought our puppy into Blue Pearl in the middle of the night for several hours of vomiting including some streaks of blood. She had an x-ray done along with a parvo testing. The parvo was negative, and the x-ray was potentially suggestive of a bowel obstruction. The provider recommended urgent surgery the same day - which would have been $7,000 at Blue Pearl. She also gave our puppy anti nausea medication, but she didn’t think to give fluids until we asked about it (I am a health care provider myself, but this one seemed pretty obvious to me). She showed us the x-rays, and when we questioned the diagnosis and asked about more testing like barium or ultrasound to make the diagnosis definitive, she said no further testing is indicated as the x-ray was “very straightforward” and “pretty much diagnostic,” and she recommended not delaying care for more than a few hours since it would risk our puppy’s life. Thankfully, this all took long enough that our normal vet office had opened, so we called for a second opinion. When our vet reviewed the images, she said she definitely was NOT convinced and the diagnosis was iffy at best. She ended up directing us to a different ER with a radiologist who reviewed the x-ray and agreed that it probably wasn’t a bowel obstruction. They recommended an ultrasound and found that she actually had gastritis (an extremely minor diagnosis comparatively). They gave her 12 hours of fluids, slowly reintroduced food, and sent her back to us entirely back to her normal, happy self. In retrospect, I really cannot believe how confident this provider was in telling us a major (and extremely expensive- though that’s not the main point) surgery was needed right away. I wasn’t pushy about asking too many questions and wanted to trust the provider, but ultimately she was 100% wrong. I would never return here, and I would strongly recommend that others consider a different location or a second opinion if major interventions are being planned.

The doctors and techs were so kind and communicative. I definitely felt secure leaving my dog there when he needed urgent overnight care. I see a lot of negative reviews from people who's pets didn't even receive care there, they just had a negative interaction with reception over the phone. As someone who works in the human healthcare field in a similar role, I sympathize with the receptionists. They are doing really difficult and really important work. Not every call goes smoothly. Thank you to all the staff at Blue Pearl!

We couldn't get them to call us back to see my dog to schedule an appointment. My primary veterinarian advised that we see them for an ongoing problem. We called, sent records, and were told on a Thursday that someone would call us Tuesday. Tuesday came. No call. We call them back Wednesday. We're told someone will call "tomorrow ". Okay. Nothing. We Call them back Thursday. Supposedly someone will call us back. We're in line. We'll, nearly 3 weeks later nobody ever called us or emailed us. We gave them 2 numbers to call and 2 email addresses. Nothing. Thankfully, after they didn't call back the first week, we called elsewhere and got an appointment. Each time we called Blue Pearl they assured us someone would call. Nope. Not a peep. And reading these reviews, I'm glad we never got a call back. Seems to be an issue with their scheduling desk and reception. You can have great vets, but if your receptionist area is lacking, customers get frustrated. What a run around. I totally understand that staffing shortages are happening and there's not enough veterinarians and technicians, but seriously? Just tell us you won't have an appointment.

Fabulous care. Outstanding vet and staff. Rushed home from Canada after spending a day in the animal hospital in Nelson BC. Blue Pearl had received all the notes and consulted with vet and quickly determined our dog had salmon poisoning. They worked with us as we wanted to keep her at home to recover. We even received an evening call from the vet to check up on her. Outstanding service and support. We will absolutely return for any animal emergencies.

I cannot express with words how grateful we are to every person at this hospital. Every staff member not only truly cares about animals (I got to spend some time in the back and heard/saw the attentive and caring way they handled and talked to and about all of their patients), they are all intelligent and vigilant and apply compassion, logic and experience when diagnosing and monitoring, every tiny detail at all levels of care is noted and used to make sure their patient is getting the exact care they need. They were honest, explained every "what if" question we had with scientific yet easy to understand language, dealt with multiple phone calls at all hours and never discouraged us from calling, and just gave our 5 month old puppy (pictured in middle snuggling cat) the absolute best care I've ever seen and saved his life. We all know the struggle of finding trustworthy veterinary care, especially in an emergency. Our experience there eliminated the feeling of "maybe they're missing something, or maybe this is unnecessary money-oriented treatment, or maybe my boy is just another patient and they'll treat his case like every other." We are so deeply grateful and impressed. They have restored my faith in emergency pet health care, I will never go anywhere else.

Thanks for saving my heart and many other’s joy. You all are so beautiful, attentive, gentle, understanding and the best there is. Thanks for taking care of your patients and their chosen family. ❤️❤️ Highly recommend this clean, calm within the storm, safe haven for you and your fur babies. Even as the staff are busy they are still the most loving. Glad I found this place.

In February of 2023, my dog had puppies, unfortunately it was a bad birth for her. I was recommended this place as I was coming in with a stuck unresponsive puppy, and one more in the birthing canal. I was a wreck and worried sick for my girl. The staff and Doctor were great. I can't thank them enough. We lost one puppy, but they saved my girl and her last puppy that I kept. I wish this clinic was a normal Veterinary clinic, as I would use them for my girl's. Thank you all so much, for what you did!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Blue Pearl ER. They were all so kind and helped get my lady through a terrible crisis (labored breathing). These folks were there in the middle of the night when Rosie really needed help. They have a tough job, and they do it well. I’m beyond grateful that they were there for us. Dr. Sutton and Dr. Tinsman were wonderful! They took the time to answer all my questions with clarity and compassion. Never felt rushed. I felt they genuinely cared about Rosie. Also, huge shout out to Kate for acting as Rosie’s communicator to let me know to get down there right away to be with her. She treated her and me as she would want for her own furry family. Sam and Abby were so kind using gentle control and low stress handling with Rosie. Sherri provided a calm and compassionate welcome on that terrible night. Fox, Chenille, Melissa, and Angelisa took time to appreciate and adore Rosie in the manner to which she is accustomed! Thank you all so much!

We have absolutely nothing to say bad about this pet hospital! They were very caring and were there the whole time giving us love and support while we had to say goodbye to our beloved Dakota! They have so much love and compassion for you and your beloved family member. ❤️

I was there in the middle of the night for chocolate toxicity 12/26/23. My dog was treated, hydrated and we were on our way home in about an hour. Lovely staff. She was very happy to be there.

This is the only place I’ll take my senior dog when my regular vet is not open & she’s having a medical emergency. This was my 2nd visit. She had blood in her urine so was seen quickly this time. My last visit was for a GI tract infection, less serious so was understandably quite the wait. The cost is pretty steep but you definitely get what you pay for. Their staff & vets clearly care about our animals. Thank you to Blue Pearl for helping to improve the quality of life for my old girl. (PS: having pet insurance is a life saver!!!!)

I recently brought in my senior cat when I was worried he was having a health crisis. He was taken back to be seen immediately. He was evaluated and given minor treatment as I planned to take him to his regular vet the next day. The staff and Dr. Rupert were extremely helpful and I feel they were very flexible and considerate in working out a care plan with me. My cat left feeling much better and I left with antibiotics and prebiotics for him, and the bill was surprisingly low for an emergency visit. I will definitely come back to Blue Pearl and would recommend it to others.

My experience with BluePearl was 5+ stars all around. My dog needed to see a specialist, and they were recommended by our primary vet. From my first call to their office and speaking with the receptionist and then to their coordinator, they are efficient and professional. The process if very detailed, they allowed me to send in information and photos of my dog in advance, and even moved up my appointment to an earlier date based on his photos. The visit with Dr. Klaus was on time, very detailed, and she really took the time to explain my dog's condition, made sure I understand and gave me examples, and gave me different medication options. Their service is way above what I would have expected and highly recommend them!

From scheduling our appointment to walking out the door, we felt the personnel were professional and caring. We were previous patients of Dr. Darrow, and when our new pup had eye problems, there was no question in our minds that she would be our vet - even though we had to drive 100 miles to see her! We were not disappointed - in our opinion, she is the best!
