Yalla is another excellent addition to Multnomah Village in SW Portland. The food is Mediterranean inspired, but with a twist. We ordered the hummus appetizer along with three entrees, which we shared between three of us. The salmon was perfectly cooked, the homemade pastrami delicious, but the fried chicken stole the show. The cocktails were more than serviceable. I will be back.

From start to finish an adventure for the palate! Our table of five shared choices from the menu - which is encouraged. Friday night was a noisy full house but service was efficient and we had a great birthday time. Frequent comments from our group of fussy diners: “Best I’ve ever had!” “You’ve got to try this!” “This flavor is amazing!” Note: only item we didn’t care for was the lamb kebab. The skillet cornbread was a show stopper! Bottom line: We’ll be back! 😉

Enjoyable dinner with the salad and other apps being the highlights. Especially the lubna. Also got the beef short rib which was pretty but disappointing (and most expensive thing on the menu). If you like Texas bbq style smoked meats then this will probably be a bit of a let down. Also no sauce of any kind available? Missed opportunity to make a middle-eastern inspired bbq sauce on the side. That said...Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Would recommend everything but the rib.

The atmosphere is very cool in Multnomah village. The kids pasta wasn’t that great, none of our the kids liked it. The cheese was pretty strong for kids. Pita and hummus were pretty good. We had the salmon crudo which was pretty good but a little salty. Lamb and beef kebab was not bad but was more like a sausage. The octopus was a crowd pleaser and very well cooked.

Food was wonderful. The hostess and the wait staff were fantastic until a "manager" came to our table and told us we needed to leave because the party that has reserved our table has arrived. Which I would understand but 20 min later, no one was seated at our table. Not cool.

Drove down from WA to try this restaurant after it was recommended. Service was great, friendly staff that all knew the menu and ingredients very well. Started with the humus and pita, which was AMAZING. I could eat that all day e’ryday! Had the bagel and lox, fries, Old school, and khachapuri. Everything we ate (between two of us!), was exceptional. We definitely can’t wait to come back for dinner! Highly recommend this restaurant and definitely worth the drive!

Delicious. This is my new go-to when I want something exceptional. Staff is on-point and truly cares about your dining experience. This is my 3rd time here and each one has left me satisfied and wanting more. Favorite salad (I’ve tried 3): Turkish Carrot Favorite Mezze: Hummus with Burnt Beef Ends (YUM!) The mains….jeeze you can’t go wrong. Below is a picture of the Grilled octopus I had and it was outstanding. Very tender, and the Yukon potato’s accompanied it so well, with the black tahini sauce. Also, if you’re here for happy hour, the current rotating cocktail is killer. I hope they put it on the everyday menu. Yum. Go here.

Yalla absolutely exceeded my expectations!! The servers were friendly and knowledgeable, the food arrived at our table very shortly after ordering (and they had a full house)!!! The best part though, the food!!! We tried 3 different dishes, the Hummas w/ Burnt Ends, the Lamb & Beef Kababs, and the Fried Chicken, all 3 of which were incredibly delicious. The burnt ends were packed with a savory smoky flavor atop the most silky hummus I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The fried chicken was perfectly crisp & also immensely juicy at the same time, and the Beef & Lamb Kababs were so flavorful and had the perfect side pairing. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying other dishes, 10/10 would recommend!!

Middle Eastern inspired smokehouse and bar. The Good News: service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxing. The food was fantastic, particularly the smoked pastrami and the fried chicken ( which is not your grandma's southern fried chicken) The Bad News: while their cocktails 🍸 are absolutely beautiful, they're over sweet alcopops. Recommend you have a reservation if you have more than two people in your party or a child.

Genuinely some of the best food I’ve had in the Portland area (and I’m from here). Not to mention some of the most authentic Mediterranean food I’ve had in a long time (my family heritage?. This place is a new date night staple. Not a single dish below 9/10. Corn bread, pastrami, radicchio salad, mixed olives, fried chicken, and some of the best hummus and pita I’ve ever had.

I had the best grilled peach with feta and harissa honey. Eggplant with Freekeh...most delicious hummus. I'm going to remember this peach and hummus for a long time. Friendly attentive staff. Best dinner ever. Thank you!

Our first visit, January 1st, 2024. A delightful, tastey experience. A unique limited menu with a variety of options bursting with delicious mediiteranian creations. They smoke and age their meats to perfection (in house). Savory tender moist absolutely delicious. The chefs truly creates dishes (veggies and meats) that left us looking forward to our next visit. Polite portions served for sharing and enjoying in a warm atmosphere where you can enjoy an intimate conversation without competing with the din of other noise. Definitely at the top of my Top Ten list in all of Portland and beyond. Service professional and attentive. Reservations are a good idea.

One of our favorite places to eat. The deep smoked flavor of the ribs and prime rib is always amazing. Don't miss the octopus and corn ribs as they are very tasty. Always great service from the friendly staff.
