Wow, what a fantastic fine dining experience for sushi! The atmosphere is beautiful and so clean, every dish was presented so beautifully and artfully and was so delicious. Their vegetarian truffle maki is vegan and it was amazing I am so glad to be able to have such delicious vegan sushi in the area! The head chef Jerry is so friendly, kind, and knowledgeable and really positively contributes to the experience. I will definitely be back!

This is such a great small local place to get some professional/proper quality sushi. The place is so cozy yet elegant and has a traditional feel to the sushi bar and the kitchen. Parking on Rontule St isn’t always ideal but depends on the day/time.

An excellent restaurant for sushi and sashimi in Beverly! Everything we got was so fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We also had the wagyu beef roll which tasted better than the wagyu beef sushi we had in Tokyo. For appetizers, I recommend getting the shishito peppers and vegetable+shrimp tempura. Service staffs were attentive and friendly.

Very nice sushi bar!! Food is fresh and there are a lot of hard to find options!! Having just visited Tokyo a month ago, this place had the same feel and quality I'd expect to get at a nice restaurant in Chiyoda or Shinjuku. Will make this the go to for sushi for the north shore!

This place is serious about sourcing high quality hard-to-find fish, which means they're serious about providing excellent customer service and the freshest, best cut, most artfully arranged sushi in town. This is big-city quality dining with small-town hospitality. Everything blew me away and exceded my expectations. I was wowed by the variety of fish offered in the chirashi bowl, along with its darling presentation in traditional-style deep bowl. The price and quality are unmatched!

Taku has the best sushi on the north shore. This place has the freshest sushi, the best hot sake, great wine choices, great desserts, and overall great vibes. The 2 guys behind the bar are the best sushi chefs. They’re thorough, kind, and put so much care into each roll of sushi you order. The service is impeccable, they are all very sweet and attentive, especially the young man. I would highly recommend this place if you’re around the Beverly area and their takoyaki!

Had sushi today for Father's Day with 4 other people, everything was so delicious, the staff was very accommodating to me & my service animal. This is the first time I've had a great experience with staff, the people sitting next to me not so much but I won't lose sleep over it. I will be back when I'm in the area! 👍👍

This place is top tier omakase quality at local sushi bar prices. It's unreal. Both of the truffle Maki rolls are my favorite rolls of all time out of every sushi spot I've ever been to. The Maki cover also goes nuts, and the green tea is just so pleasing to the palette. Everything here is expertly crafted with so much care and attention to detail. I'm grateful for this place.

Beautiful presentation. Nice, intimate setting. Hands down the best sushi we’ve had in Massachusetts. I will absolutely be driving 40 minutes out of my way every time I’m in the mood for fresh fish and wonderful service!!

This is the best sushi place. Everything is super fresh and prepared expertly. The plating is beautiful and the staff is friendly. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

A surprisingly great Japanese restaurant located away from the busy touristy area. Never expected to have such great Japanese food. The portion of protein in poke was very generous. I wish they had Apple cider in alcohol choices, though. Also, an egg in their udon.

The sushi at Tako is outstanding. It is a small restaurant and we had a bit of a wait walking in with no reservation on a Saturday night, not unexpected. During our wait it was clear what a phenomenal job the entire staff did juggling tables and take out orders. It was quite busy and they were working hard and efficiently to make sure each guest was happy. It was my 10 year olds first time there and they really made it a great experience for him. Everything we ate was delicious. We can’t wait to go back.

Taku sushi & Chef jerry are by far my FAVORITE restaurant on the north shore because his sushi tastes out of this world. If I could I’d eat here every day. Can’t wait til I go back again.
