Loved how aesthetic their interior was! You pay first and then they will assign you to a table, all our food came within 10 minutes. We got the Train Pho (all beef cuts), the Luc Lac steak, and the chicken wings. Everything we got was super tasty! Waited about 20 minutes on a Friday night but overall a very fun experience.

Amazing food and such a great atmosphere! We had to wait a bit because it was so busy (a great sign for a restaurant) and the staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy their work (also a great sign). The hip hop was turned up loud and the food was stellar. We wish we were staying longer so we could hit it up again tomorrow! We’ll be back!

Beautiful Asian style art in the restaurant and extremely fast, excellent service. By the time we ordered and got our forks and chopsticks and sat down, the food was out. This was about a turnaround time of 2-4 minutes for our order of beef pho, papaya salad and chicken coconut curry. The salad and curry portions were huge! Enough curry and salad to feed 2-3 people so we had to take leftovers! Definitely recommend if you need a fast casual dine in restaurant to eat at with authentic flavors. There are also outdoor seating options.

AMAZING VIETNAMESE FOOD ALERT!! The concierge at my hotel recommended Luc Lac and at first I wasn’t sold on having Vietnamese but I am glad that I did. You can smell the aroma from the restaurant from a block away it was a Saturday night and all of the outdoor tables were full and there was a line up down the side of the building. The line moved fast and you were able to choose if you wanted to sit indoors or outsides. You order and pay for your food once you enter which makes the process after your done eating smooth as you can just leave. The coconut curry chicken was amazing creamy and I got it mild and it was the perfect amount of spice. The signature dish Luc Lac was also tasty, spring rolls were fresh and delicious the only thing I would pass on is the shakes green iced tea as it had no flavour. The vibes in here are amazing as you can see by the light up artwork on the walls!

Luc Lac was great! The place on a weekend night was packed, so lines were long but worth the wait. Food was served quickly, and was extremely good. The namesake Luc Lac was fantastic, as was the pho. The price point on the food was great, although the luc Lac was the most expensive (and also worth it). You could easily spend less than $15 for a single meal here. The tipping point are the drinks, which are very yummy as well! But the price point on a bar drink matches some of the full meals! Would 100% come back here, just skip the drinks if you're on a budget.

Had the coconut curry. It was equally as good as having curry in Thailand. The depth of flavor was amazing. We thought level 4 spicy would be hotter but overall cannot complain. We also tried a Banh Mi which was also excellent. The pork was juicy and flavorful and there was a perfect balance of mayo and fresh veggies. Will definitely be back next time we visit Portland. We also had a cocktail and a raspberry sour which was super fruity and not overly sour.

Visiting Portland this last weekend coming from Seattle and made the usual stop at Luc Lac for a quick and tasty lunch. It's a perfect lunch on a summer day as the flavors are good, but you won't leave feeling so full when you are out exploring the city or about to sit in your car to drive 4+ hours home like us that day. We arrived close to 12pm on Sunday and had no wait with an option to sit either outside or inside. Last visit in 2022, we sat outside, so opted for inside this time. Order at the counter and then are assigned a table (E2) where you sit after getting your own utensils, water, etc. Service in this sense is almost non-existent and while the woman taking our order wasn't mean by any way, she didn't seem happy to be working. This only was noticeable as most other restaurants we visited in our trip, service seems very enthusiastic and friendly. I got the combo vermicelli bowl which has a skewer each of: chicken, pork, beef and shrimp + choice of vegetarian or pork little egg rolls (2). My travel partner had the tofu vermicelli bowl which they loved. Flavors are definitely on point and the food is excellent. Perfect mix of proteins and carbs and some fiber vegetables to have you feeling ready for the day but on your toes instead of heavy when being a tourist like us. Cool art deco on the walls as well. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place. Check it out!

Great Vietnamese restaurant with solid selection of food and drinks. Got the coconut curry that was amazing, tons of veggies and chicken included. Friends got the vermicelli noodle combo both which comes with 4 meat skewers and a delicious veggie blend

Found this spot during a recent business trip to Portland. When I arrived, there was a line out the door and down the street - a great sign. I had some time so I got in line and it moved reasonably quickly. You order at the counter and they give you a table number. The food came quickly and it was fantastic. I got the wings small plate and the Luc Lac plate with the marinated tenderloin. Both were excellent.

I was recommended this spot by some friends and it absolutely didn't disappoint. The smell of this restaurant from several buildings down was like a siren's call to me, bringing me in. It was busy, so be mindful that a wait is expected, but the wait is worth it. Friendly staff greeted us and got our order taken. There aren't many options but you don't need a huge menu to get expertly crafted goods. I ordered the luc lac and a cocktail that blew my mind. I will absolutely be going back here again. Great for a date night spot!

This place is definitely worth stopping in! The food was great and the people were nice. It's not a typical sit down place; you order before you sit and gather your own cutlery and water. If you want to order more there's a QR code at your seat that you can scan. They get busy quick, so expect to wait in line for about 10-15 minutes. Their pork was great in both dishes we had. We sat at the bar and be aware the drinks they sell are small and they didn't seem to be filling them all the way.

Hip-hop and Pho?! Sign me up. The place gets pretty crowded (for good reason, the food is bomb!) So plan ahead. Great drinks menu here, too!

Pleasant meal! Counter service and then food is brought out to the table. Cocktails were rather good but came after the food. Tofu salad was ingenious and delicious. The chicken rice bowl was great, except the crispy rolls that came on the side were more like chewy rolls (and not so tasty). We had the green beans starter which was delicious—definitely would recommend getting it spicy! The tofu coconut curry was delicious, filling, fresh and flavorful. The tofu Tom yum pho had a nice flavor, great noodles, and lots of tofu—big portion. The stewed tomatoes didn’t seem to add a lot and overall it was much more like pho than Tom yum. Overall would recommend, great portions and a beautiful restaurant. Some of the recipe decisions were not what I was expecting however and could definitely be more excellent with a few tweaks. Just expecting more for the price!

We were staying at a hotel nearby and tried here for lunch. You order at the counter and are assigned a place to sit either inside or outside. We chose inside because it was a hot day. I had the coconut curry (mild by choice) and my friend ordered the pork rice. Both dishes were delicious and filling. They were served quickly (the restaurant was busy) Fun decor and atmosphere inside the restaurant. Highly recommend! The lighting inside puts a pinkish tinge on the food photos.

Night club feel and open late. Are we in Saigon? Definitely unique with unique drinks to match. But the real draw is the food. Expertly done. This is the reason you go out…because you can’t make this at home! Had papaya salad—the best I’ve had, coconut curry, and Luc Lac steak. All excellent! The drinks were yummy and interesting. Only negative is the quality of the chairs. I almost fell over but that was because I leaned back to take a pic of the ceiling which is covered in umbrellas😆get a booth seat if possible.

One of the best spots in Portland hands down. From location, to atmosphere, to food, they really hit the mark. All the staff were very helpful with menu recommendations, and the food was quite fast. The prices were reasonable, and the food was amazing. I highly recommenced this spot, especially if you’re visiting Portland!

My friend had dined here before and loved it! I agree! The atmosphere is unique, the food is fabulous and the staff is amazing and very helpful in assisting us in finding a good dessert place too! We highly recommend you stop by and dine!

Enjoyed my lunch over at Luc Lac. The entrance is a little odd in that you need a table before going ahead and ordering. But the staff generally was helpful in finding us a spot even with a large group ahead. Interior decor is fun and lively, with good music selection, just probably not a place I would suggest for more than a casual meal. Food came out quickly and the portions were very strong for the price which is always a win in my book. Food overall was tasty, just nothing that was particularly a stand out compared to other Pho I’ve had in the area. All in all it was a nice meal but probably wouldn’t rush back.

Loved this place! Hip, downtown vibe. Pho had great flavor. Wine was on the table before I could grab utensils and sit down, with every table sat! Took one star off because the sugarcane shrimp was tepid. Couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be served hot and cooled off or cold and sat under a light. Also only two pieces for $9? Be do 4 for $15. Otherwise, I loved it and will def be back.

Pretty nice atmosphere inside, they do the standard order before you sit (they find you a place and won’t take your order if there isn’t a place for you to sit). Ordering is efficient. You have to get your own water and utensils. Food was quite good though my papaya salad was a tad too sweet for me. I would’ve liked a few more shrimp and perhaps rice crackers like they do in other Vietnamese places. But hey, that’s a personal thing. Service, as in checking on you about food or needs is non existent.

Very cool and unique place for Vietnamese food. It is also a bar. I like the atmosphere and food. They are really high tech and you can order with a QR code. The papaya salad, luc lac steak cubes and steak rolls were so yummy and lots of flavor. I like it

Great vibes. The plate presentation was nice. The food itself is good, but nothing that'll make you want to smake yo mama . The drink had one giant ice cube with "LL" engraved in it. I thought that was an elegant touch:) and the drink was strong. You order and pay at the counter before sitting. It also askes for the tip at time of payment. While at the table, zero customer service. They drop the food and drink from the bar off and that's the last you get service. This was the 1st time here, if I had known, I would have done that part differently.

Went here following the hype. Yes the place is funky. Yes you need to queue as it's ALWAYS busy. Yes the ingredients are very fresh. I had the combo vermicelli bowl that looked amazing but the meat was cold, chewy and tough. The salad and the fried rolls very tasty. Overall a LAClustre experience...
