We've
now
been
to
3
Timber
locations
and
this
by
far,
is
the
worst.
My
daughter
was
booked
here,
unbeknownst
to
her,
for
an
ortho
consult.
Despite
50+
yrs
of
living
in
west
Portland
suburbs,
we're
not
interested
in
participating
in
any
gentrification
projects.
We
arrived
20
mins
early
to
find
a
self
check
tablet
on
a
stand
in
front
of
reception.
Simple
process,
save
for
having
to
get
out
insurance/ID
cards
and
take
pics
(already
on
file
at
the
referring
dentist
office).
As
we
were
putting
cards
away,
2
different
people
walked
briskly
through
the
waiting
room
to
ask
if
we
needed
assistance
(not
a
greeting,
or
a
pause,
or
even
seeming
to
make
the
trip
just
for
us).
We
sat
down
to
wait
(I
usually
wait
in
the
car
with
my
1
yr
old
granddaughter,
but
my
daughter
was
too
nervous
to
walk
the
3
blocks
alone
from
Timber
recommended
parking
garage).
Eventually,
a
woman
who
had
rushed
through
several
times
seemed
to
be
near
the
reception
desk
and
I
advised
my
daughter
to
have
parking
validated
while
we
waited.
The
woman
declined,
preferring
to
wait
until
after
the
appointment
in
case
there
were
any
"issues"
with
the
time...So
I
put
the
ticket
away
and
forgot
about
it.
My
daughter
was
soon
called
back
by
a
pleasant
gentleman.
The
baby
is
very
quiet,
but
after
awhile,
I
was
dreadfully
bored
and
because
my
strained
knee
was
in
a
brace
at
the
time,
I
thought
I'd
stretch
my
legs
in
the
building
lobby
for
a
few
minutes.
We
couldn't
go
outside
due
to
super
filthy
neighborhood
(drugs,
serious
mental
illness,
etc.
-
we
drove
around
a
6
block
radius
several
times
when
we
first
arrived
so
we
did
see
it
all).
The
building
lobby
was
tiny,
but
"safe"
and
empty
save
for
a
security
guard
I
noticed
hunkered
down
behind
a
desk
who
wasn't
there
when
we
had
first
arrived
20
minutes
earlier.
I
walked
slowly
to
the
far
end
of
the
lobby
and
called
for
my
granddaughter
to
follow
me.
A
few
minutes
later
I
finally
convinced
her
to
join
me
as
I
bent
down
by
a
plush,
but
obviously
unused,
chair
in
the
lobby.
As
she
reached
a
finger
towards
the
chair,
the
security
guard
jumped
up
and
came
towards
us,
questioning
what
business
we
had
in
the
building.
Given
he
had
just
seen
us
come
out
of
the
dentist
office,
where
we'd
been
sitting
in
full
view
through
the
glass
walls,
I
was
flabbergasted!
I
told
him
we
were
waiting
for
my
daughter
who
was
in
the
dentist
office.
He
couldn't
seem
to
grasp
that
concept
and
became
very
agitated,
suggesting
that
he
had
to
question
us
because
of
all
the
history
of
security
threats
they
have
in
the
building.
I
assured
him
we
were
no
threat
and
attempted
to
make
my
way
back
to
the
dentist
waiting
room,
though
he
was
blocking
the
path.
He
called
the
woman
from
the
dentist
office
to
inquire
if
I
was
lying
about
our
business.
She
had
to
come
out
in
the
lobby
to
confirm,
then
proceeded
to
agree
with
him
that
there
were
so
many
security
threats
there
that
the
obviously
ethnic
baby
and
myself
(Caucasian)
should
be
profiled.
As
I
went
back
in
the
waiting
room,
I
decided
I
shouldn't
do
business
in
that
building
and
said
so
aloud
(to
myself).
The
guard
called
out
"Don't
come
back!"
The
woman
in
the
dentist
office
overheard
and
again
said
nothing.
I
asked
to
see
my
daughter
so
we
could
leave.
As
I
was
in
a
hurry,
I
picked
up
the
baby
and
said
jokingly
aloud
"So
you
don't
stab
anyone
or
steal
anything."
The
woman
tittered
and
said
"Not
today".
I
told
her
incredulously
that
was
an
inappropriate
comment.
She
didn't
respond.
My
daughter
was
almost
done
so
the
pleasant
gentleman
readied
her
to
go
quickly.
We
left
with
no
further
dialogue
with
any
Timber
staff.
I
followed
up
with
bldg
mgmt
and
security
company
while
my
daughter
left
a
neg
review,
prompting
msg
from
Timber
office
mgr.
However,
it
was
generic
number
and
mgr
couldn't
be
reached
after
several
calls/msgs.
I
attempted
to
email,
but
published
address
was
invalid.
Talk
about
adding
insult
to
injury...shameless.
I'd
say
this
location
suits
the
neighborhood
just
fine!
