Been staying at Wyndham hotels since I became homeless in 2019 and this is by far my favorite place to stay. If you sign up with the Wyndham app, you can get discounted and free nights with points that rack up fairly quickly. Discounted nights starting at 3k points which is about 2 -3 nights staying at regular price. Free night after 15k points. This place is always clean, and front desk staff is so accommodating and kind. I feel like I'm HIGH MAINTENANCE AF and always request specific things like the floor I want and how close to stairs I need to be for the sake of my dogs 😂 and they always fulfill every special request I have without making me feel like I'm asking too much or putting them out like other places have. It goes a long way with me when places like this remember their customers and say hi to the dogs when arriving. There were a few times I had issues when checking in with the card I was using and their system. I think their system hiccupped and caused me to get double charged, but the manager was quick to come up with a solution both times and even gave me a call a few days later to make sure everything resolved on my end. That really shows how much they care and meant a lot. The best part-- No pet fees! It's nice to be able to stay with my 3 dogs and not stress about extra costs or having to hide one. 😂 they do charge a $50 incidental hold at check-in, but the hold reverses and shows back up in my account within an hour or two of checking out. 🖤🖤🖤

Excellent customer service! We left the hotel at 5:30am, only to learn once we got to the airport that our flight was delayed for 6 hours. At this point we had already returned our rental car too. I called La Quinta and their shuttle picked us back up and we were able to get back into the room. Luckily housekeeping had not come yet so it was absolutely no trouble at all! We were grateful they took us back and without any haggling! Clean and comfortable room too!

The room was comfy, small, but comfy. Everything was clean. The people at the front desk were accomodating and took the time to help me even though they were swamped. The free breakfast is great! Lots of choices, both hot and cold. They even have a waffle maker, which I liked very much. The guest laundry was affordable, 1.50$ for washer and 1.00$ for dryer. Not bad at all. The best part in my opinion? They let us have our cat and with no extra pet fee. If I ever need a hotel, I will keep this one in mind.

My wife and I live in Salem. We always stay here the night before we fly out of PDX. It's nice because we take early flights. We take a shuttle from Salem Airport to La Quinta the night before. This isn't the fanciest of hotels, but they have a really nice staff, nice clean rooms, free breakfast, free parking, and free shuttle service. Two weeks ago a very nice gentleman named Lorn picked us up at the airport in their shuttle. The shuttle was also nice and clean. Lorn is an great driver and he even helped us get checked in and set up the shuttle for our trip early the next morning. Staying here has reduced our stress a lot when we travel. It's well worth it. Once when were driving up the morning of a flight, we missed the flight due to an I-5 accident. We had to spend 9 hours in the airport before we could fly out on the next flight. 9 hours is a long time to spend waiting in an airport. Staying here is definitely worth it. MUCH less stress.

For a three star hotel it was nice. The room was in rougher shape than in the photos - more scratches and nicks on the tub and in furnishings - but it was very clean. There was a tea/coffee station on the main floor and breakfast included a lot of options for such a small hotel — there was a great little waffle station. There were not enough towels and there was no room service (we stayed 2 days) to change them. The pool towels were hand towels, not body towels. Not sure why a hotel charging almost $200 a night has such a lack of towels. The standard for a two person hotel room should feature at least 3 body towels, so if one of the people in the room has long hair, she can make a hair turban. And why can’t swimmers have body towels?

Here visiting portland on a 2 week assignment as a traveling nurse from northern Michigan and the Laquita was the BEST stay I’ve experienced sense I have been in oregon. The staff was very present and full of smiles. The breakfast was amazing (waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins all sorts of different choices with orange juice too) The rooms were awesome, very comfortable had photos of the Astoria bridge and MT hood on the walls. The shower had a great pressure and the beds were so comfortable. The pool and hot tub room was a nice change of scenery and a cool place to hang out. It was clean and quite. No problems were encountered leaving my pup upstairs while I used the hot tub / pool. Housekeeping was great and on top of things. Location was a little loud being close to the airport if that bothers you, me on the other hand, I enjoyed watching the planes take off. That was super cool. All around was a great comfortable stay. Would recommend to any one of my travelers. Best part was, no pet fee 🤗

This place was quiet and very clean. The rooms are snug but roomy, did I mention very clean, one look and I was sold. Lots of amenities, indoor pool, nice rooms and nice employees, good price and much more. Pet friendly, this gets four paws up! And no weirdos, definitely a place I will come back to.

A good budget option if you don't mind an aging property. On the plus side, the staff is attentive and friendly, the mattress was super comfortable, the shuttle was fast and willing to take us wherever we needed, and rhe breakfast was open. On the down side, the halls smell like someone has smoked there a lot, the key card was tricky to use, and it was drafty. But a solid night of sleep on a great mattress with quality pillows was what I needed, and I found it here

A quick overnight before an early flight. Easy parking, decent rooms and convenient to the airport. As with all hotels close to an airport, you'll have to deal with noise. Early cold breakfast is offered.

I recently stayed at La Quinta Suites near Portland Airport for a brief visit. The hotel’s location is undoubtedly its strongest feature, being conveniently close to the airport, which made my travel logistics a lot easier. Upon arrival, the staff were polite, but I noticed a lack of warmth or personal touch in their interaction. Check-in was smooth, though, and I appreciated the efficiency. The room itself was a mixed bag. On the positive side, it was spacious, and the bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. However, the decor felt a bit dated and could use some refreshing. Cleanliness was generally okay, but I did notice some areas that could have been cleaner. Amenities were standard for a hotel in this category. The complimentary Wi-Fi was reliable, which was a plus for me. However, the breakfast was just average, with limited options and nothing that stood out. Overall, my stay at La Quinta Suites was adequate for a short trip. It’s a reasonable choice if you’re looking for basic comfort and convenience near the airport. However, there are areas where the hotel could improve, especially in terms of room decor and breakfast quality. Rating: 3/5 Stars

This hotel has everything you want and need and they are not ripping you off on laundry costs either like most other hotels do! Even the snack costs are not rip offs for once! All the amenities you want and need are here too. Staff can be a tad more engaging but other than that, this hotel achieved 5 stars in my regards and in my books and I stay at a lot of places for leisure and for work! Even the tv is high def! Thank you!

Clean, quite, and spacious. Breakfat was great! Didn't use the pool, but it and the area around it was small. The hotel itself was worn, dated, showing its age. I felt the price we paid for the two nights was too much for the degraded condition of the hotel. The beds were listed as queens but they were definitely not queen size, they seemed to be smaller. They were also very uncomfortable. That being said, I would stay here again if i got a better deal. I think corporate should consider renovating.

A solid choice for a single transitory night before or after a flight, but I wouldn't recommend staying longer than that. The staff were pleasant, but some were not very professional. The room was clean, but the walls are quite thin; if you're unlucky enough to be on the same floor as louder guests or pets you will definitely be hearing them. The airport shuttle was very convenient, especially for an early flight. They do offer a basic continental breakfast that starts fairly early, which is also a plus.

Great hotel, good service, good morning breakfast, but the location is not very good. In a low income area with lots of drifters and such walking around late at night. Maybe not the safest place to have kids. Also very tight parking. That's outside the hotel, but everything inside is top notch.

First they had the room listed under my middle name instead of my last. And their system was down. So they had to call to verify credit card. The photos on the internet are nothing like the hotel. Reservations were for 4 we had 3 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 wash clothes. Called the front desk they said yes we could have another towel come and get it. Oh no floor mat for when you get out of the shower. We are gone all the next day. We come back our room had not been serviced so no clean towels. We went down to the front desk and said we had no clean towels. She said, well did you leave them out in the hallway? That must be how they know to clean the rooms. We asked about fresh towels and she said we need to bring the dirty towels down. We then saw a number of people bringing towels down. Back to the 3rd floor all the way to the far end get the towels take them back downstairs. We get new towels, oops we forgot to count. Get to our room to find out we did not get correct amount. Back downstairs. Only to have the front clerk laugh and say hehe we ran out. Checking out system still down after 2 days. They would email a receipt since they could not print it out. Here it is Monday no receipt. I called and they said they will send it in a day or two or three. Unbelievable

This place was a life and sanity saver, I stayed here due to a Noreaster in the Portland, Oregon area on Feb 22- Feb 23, all flights were delayed or cancelled until the following morning. The room was a pleasant surprise, the bed was very plush, bathroom was nice and full of toilet supplies. The staff was accommodating and friendly. I only wish I visited that area during the summer.

Excellent room and good breakfast. Great location close to Costco for gassing up, etc. And quick access to large shopping area near airport including Ikea and many well known stores. Well insulated from airplane jet sounds.

Excellent and friendly customer service. The staff gave me a list of food and shopping places nearby. Breakfast times were extremely accommodating and there was a good variety of food, hot and cold. Check in and out was fast and efficient. Location was great for my work training and for shopping! The room was clean and neat. Happy that I could bring my dog with me. Thank you, La Quinta for that! Breakfast included, free parking and dog friendly with no extra fee was amazing.

Overnight stay at La Quinta. We appreciated the shuttle service to a nearby strip mall with a variety of restaurant options. The rooms were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a little time in the evening so took advantage of the spa as well.

Great location that allowed us to get a good night's sleep and pick up our rental car at the airport the next morning; saving us some $$. Decent hot breakfast. All staff wearing masks was nice. Staff was super friendly and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. We appreciated the free airport shuttle.

The location was great, and the shuttle to and from the airport was very convenient. However, I found a hair in our shower that was definitely neither of ours. Also, no one communicated to us that we were supposed to set up a time for the shuttle to the airport beforehand. We had told the young man who checked us in that we would be ready for the shuttle at checkout, but apparently that didn't get communicated to anyone else and the young lady who checked us out made it seem like we had really inconvenienced her, but the shuttle driver said they were actually slow at that moment and it was not a big deal.

Wonderful time. Pickup after shuttle hours was arranged through using another Wyndham hotel shuttle. All workers were very informative regarding using Public transportation and they took me to Cascade Station and even bought my luggage there when I was running late for my Flixbus on the other side of town (by Union Station). Food was great and for the first time in a year or so I did not have to call and checked complain about any issues in the room. Definitely one of the top if not the top Wyndham rewards hotel I’ve ever visited.

Staff was all very friendly and professional. The beds were comfy...the pull-out couch not so much ( but okay for the teens)The breakfast was ALL very good, scrambled eggs, bacon, bagels, waffles, yogurt, muffins and more..The pillows could be upgraded, but we brought our own. It is pet friendly but there is not real grass nearby just bark/dirt area for dog to potty. Did walk 2 blocks down street and found grassy area along sidewalk.

The staff is fantastic. Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are clean. In some places, pet rooms can be kinda icky, but not here. There were a few scuffs on the furniture, but it was clean. For as expensive as hotels are right now, this was a find at a reasonable price. I recommend it.

I've been to this place twice, once in 2019, and once now in 2022... I hope at some point they do update this hotel. The elevator is slow as hell, and the LED LCD readouts inside the elevator for the floors actually disappear as you go up and down. Other than that, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is great, the room was nice, quiet, and it was an overall great stay. Other than the slow elevator. I just wish as a fan of this location that they will be able to do some upgrades in the future.

Great room. Great price. Had the worst day. The staff was so friendly. Complemented my hair and got me to the airport quickly. Just loved this place. Great people make a deference!

The air conditioner filters should be cleaned after every stay. I pulled on up and dog hair flew out. It also made the room smell. Breakfast area felt cold and not very inviting. Not enough parking spots. The room didn’t have a luggage rack. Wish they had trays for breakfast so we could carry multiple items back to room. Breakfast attended should also be more visible. The beds were comfortable. I didn’t have to ask for a different pillow so that’s another plus. The front desk was attentive.

The room was well cleaned but the queen sized bed room I booked was smaller than I expected. I appreciated there was a nice size refrigerator and microwave in room. Also the closet was a good size but no luggage rack to put luggage on. The hotel has breakfast included in price which was decent and free parking. The staff was friendly and helpful too. Free shuttle to and from airport. Also I really liked the indoor pool and jacuzzi. Overall, I would recommend.

Used some points for a free room for a night when our flights were cancelled. Stephanie picked us up from the airport and was so sweet! We told her we had been up since 4am (was 930pm at the time) and she had offered to drop us off/pick us up somewhere so we could get food. We were just tired and turned in for the night but her customer service went such a long way for us. This woman deserves a raise or some type of appreciation!

Decent place to stay & Very close to airport. Shady area though & if you are a light sleeper you can hear the planes at night. Also, no matter what though, try not to stay in room 302 or any other rooms similar (like above or below. The room is next to a service room with loud equipment, the flood lights outside that light up the entrance are aimed right at this rooms window & this room is next to the elevator. Now the Breakfast here is Freaking fantastic! Absolutely wonderful foods! They even have a mini waffle 🧇 maker. I suggest you get up early though & hit the Breakfast right at 6am when it starts. The rooms do have a microwave & mini fridge. Everything in our room was clean & ready when we checked in too. Staff was also super friendly.

Good clean room, no pet fee if your 4 legged friend is joining you, my only complaint was the room was tiny, the queen bed dominated the space....I mean dominated to the point that you're nearly walking sideways around the bed to move about the room. I would easily stay again without a second thought, but more likely I'd opt for a property with bigger rooms unless my furry 4 footer is tagging along. Go ahead and stay, you'll be fine 😊
