Oh
man
where
to
begin.
The
location
is
great,
5
minutes
to
the
airport.
But
Portland
has
become
synonymous
with
homelessness
and
crime.
I'd
be
really
worried
about
leaving
my
car
being
there
when
I
get
back
if
I
had
left
it
there
for
long
term
parking.
The
lady
checking
us
in
was
very
a
very
"to
the
point"
no
nonsense
type
of
person.
I
guess
you
have
to
be
to
work
in
that
area.
She
didn't
answer
our
questions,
and
also
did
not
write
us
in
for
the
airport
shuttle
in
the
morning.
Once
we
checked
into
our
room,
you
could
tell
they
had
tried
to
update
the
rooms,
but
everything
was
severely
lacking.
The
painted
over
graffiti
in
the
bathroom
was
awesome.
The
TV
didn't
have
a
remote
control,
and
when
my
husband
called
the
front
desk,
she
promptly
hung
up
on
him.
He
went
down
to
grab
one
and
she
mentioned
that
you
can
control
the
TV
from
the
side,
you
don't
need
a
remote.
She
gave
him
one
anyway,
sans
back
battery
plate.
We
got
zero
sleep
from
all
the
other
guests
having
multiple
wake
up
calls
at
all
hours
of
the
early
morning,
starting
from
3am
onward.
Then
the
lack
of
consideration
and
the
use
of
inside
voices
was
justthe
icing
on
the
cake.
My
husband
is
a
naturally
loud
individual,
but
even
the
other
guests
were
excessive
in
thier
volume.
The
mini
fridge
made
all
sorts
of
wonderful
noises,
somewhat
akin
to
someone
trying
to
pick
the
lock
to
get
inside
our
room.
Since
we
were
already
nervous
being
in
Portland,
you
can
see
how
this
made
for
a
relaxing
evening.
When
we
got
up
for
breakfast
we
found
coffee,
an
empty
bowl,
orange
juice,
packets
of
oatmeal,
and
one
granola
bar.
We
made
our
way
to
check
out
and
grab
the
shuttle.
When
we
asked
the
gentleman
who
checked
us
out
if
we
were
still
confirmed
for
the
airport
shuttle,
he
said
last
nights
front
desk
agent
did
not
write
us
in,
but
got
us
on
that
shuttle
anyway.
The
shuttle
was
the
best
part.
When
we
got
to
escape
that
hotel
and
never
look
back.
