I’ve been here a few times over the last decade (not a local, just lucky to travel here a few times) and S&S never disappoints. The flavors are sometimes unusual for ice cream, but I’ve never heard anyone say what they got wasn’t good. I’m an ice cream cup person myself but their cones look like a solid option. If you’ve ever got questions, ask the staff. They are always very friendly.

Not your basic ice cream. Hand crafted ice cream with unique flavors. I got a cookie dough variety and it had swirls of several different flavors. A single scoop was $6. You can sample flavors as well, they had a list of Thanksgiving day flavors, which didn't really strike me as ice cream compatible but what I tried was good.

We love this place! Best Ice Cream in Portland. Got a double scoop of Coffee with Love Nuts and Caramel in a waffle cone. All made fresh right here. It was raining and cold but still a bit of a line. Servers are friendly and patient as we asked for several samples. It's not cheap but it's worth every penny.

My favorite ice cream shop in Portland! They let you try so many flavors and have seasonal ones too. My favorite is the honey lavender. Will always visit this shop when I’m visiting Portland

Amazing ice cream! So many unique flavors and combinations that you'd never think to put into ice cream that are surprisingly delicious. The staff was super nice and helpful and lets you sample these one of a kind flavors. I could not recommend more highly!!!

I live this ice cream shop! There's so many unique flavors, and they all somehow work well. You can try and sample it, too. It's one of the top things to do in Portland so far!

Salt & Straw is my happy place! I visited a San Diego location over the summer and was so excited to get to visit again in Portland. They have the best vegan ice cream, hands down!

Loved that they let you sample the flavors, otherwise I would have not ended up with the flavor I really loved, Peanut Butter Brittle Caramel Fudge. Great little shop, friendly staff, expect to wait, it’s pretty popular even on a cooler day in September.
