Seriously such an amazing place! We were greeted by the bartender and other staff when we walked in. We sat at the bar and order 2 draft beverages both very delicious(cider and sour). We ordered cup of stew and the large fish and chips to split. The fish has a light airy crisp batter on the outside with juicy fish inside, and the fries were so fresh! The soup of the day was Beef Stew. This soup was a perfect join to our meal as it was light ,but packed with flavor. Definitely a must go to if you donโ€™t want to worry about bad food or service!

We enjoyed this place. Great location and view is cool too. Many great beer options. The waitress was awesome. We split a steak and cheese and it was fantastic. I was surprised at how fast the food came out for how packed the place was. Will definitely return someday soon

Stopped in the Kings Head for a couple beers and some apps and loved it! Great draft menu and small food menu but decided to go with the scotch egg and flat bread. Both dishes were excellent!! Would definitely recommend Kings Head if you are looking for something different other than seafood or looking to change things up.

Excellent place with a great selection of local beers, great music and atmosphere! The Scotch Egg, Calamari and Fish and chips were all delicious!! Would come back for sure. The location where the lobster boats come in is right there too! ๐Ÿฆž

We stopped in for a beer/lunch on a weekday afternoon and had some friends that were going to join us at a later time. We informed the server and she seemed ok with this at the time, but our friends were a little late and I think the server was annoyed by this and was a little testy in her attitude towards us. This definitely soured our experience a little. The lobster roll was just average for $29 and I guess I just wasn't really that impressed overall. I think if I had ordered something else I would have enjoyed it more, but live and learn...

Everything was delicious. We ordered the mussels (my first time to try them), a Scotch egg, and the fish and chips. Our server was friendly and helpful with the drink menu options.

Good selection of beers, really good views. Didn't have anything to eat just a quick beer stop the sign is what drew me to go in. Portland is a great place to visit all around with great restaurants and breweries. Portland is also on the water so they have really good views.

Quaint little pub on the Portland waterfront. Top notch beer selection and friendly staff. Would have loved a few more small plate selections but overall a great experience.

Not much to say besides the fact that the food and cocktails were all top tier. Lamb burger is a huge recommend. Great place to have celebrated #30 with friends. Atmosphere was cozy with that vintage industrial revolution era brick and iron look. Service was snappy. Nice little spot hidden away from the business of the main strip.

10/10 recommend the Kingโ€™s Headโ€” hidden in plain sight on Portlandโ€™s waterfront wharf. Excellent choice for a good drink from expansive, changing collection of tap beer, excellent food and friendly bar staff. General Manager Lindsey tends bar and made us feel right at home with thoughtful and fun service throughout our visit. A ton of fun hanging out here โ€” we felt like we have friends in Portland now. Highly recommend the unusual and tasty Scotch Egg and garlicky steamed mussels.

Amazing beer selection, delicious house-made fries and a Lamb burger on the menu. Lots of other dining options. My dining companion raved about the Haddock Sandwich claiming sandwiches aren't generally noteworthy. This one was the exception. Tucked away on the pier so very easy to miss. That's part of the charm. I'll be back at some point!

Food and service were great. You can get a beer anywhere but they had a decent selection of Maine beers. Stopped in only to grab a beer but ended up ordering food. Fish and chips were great. The hand cut fries were the best part.

This pub has quickly become my new favorite! As you walk in and seat yourself at a table, you'll sense the local charm. The food is consistently fresh, and the draft list boasts an impressive array of unique options. The fried pickles were a standout โ€“ apologies for the picture taken post-indulgence! I personally loved the steak and cheese, though my husband found it a bit small; he's eager to return for the crispy fish and chips. The falafel sandwich had the right portion size, but it could use more sauce and veggies (not pictured). The fries are delicious, and the burgers are satisfyingly thick (also not pictured). Gluten-free buns are an option. My son raved about the wings, though he felt they were a bit pricey. Discovering this gem took us far too long, but we'll definitely be back!

I'm not sure how we missed this place on all our Portland trips! Great beer and food and wait staff is fantastic! We had the steak and cheese with truffle fries! Came out very fast and was great! Will definitely be coming back!

We stopped in here for drinks and really enjoyed it! The environment is fun, and they have tons of drink options. We enjoyed the Boston Tea Party, Queen Charlotte, and the Kingโ€™s Margarita!

A traditional English bar in the Old Port but off the main tourist route. Wonderful staff. Good beer and cider selection (along with a full bar). The Scotch Egg was delectable (one egg for two people is probably sufficient). Low key, local atmosphere.

Cute space, relaxed atmosphere. Custom service was good, but I didnโ€™t love what I ordered. Mussels for an appetizer and then followed by fish and chips. It wasnโ€™t terrible food, but I also wouldnโ€™t order it again. I did however love the steak and cheese on the menu! It was delicious!

I would eat here during the day, but the fact that they have food of the same quality late at night is hard to match! Pleasantly surprised and appreciative that they stayed open late during a snow storm. Shannon was awesome and made the experience complete! Thank you for the sacrifice with a smile! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™Œ

Great spot. Fun and helpful waitress, great food and amazing beer/mead selection! Get the scotch egg and the lavender lemonade mead if they have them on menu when you go!

We arrived and the place looked closed. However, it /was/ open and we're glad. Not only did they have a great selection of craft brews, they served excellent cocktails. . I was in the mood for a barleywine, and the knowledgeable bartender steered me to the Norway Dubbel, which stood in nicely. Not as boozy, but the malt backbone was so tasty. . My wife started with a Manhatten and continued with a Bulleitvardier cocktail. Both were excellent. . Along the way, we enjoyed the fried pickle chips. They stand up to the best we've had in Texas. Delicious, hot, and crunchy. Loved them. . If we lived in the area, we'd be patrons. Nuff said?

Lively atmosphere with a great selection of brews. Fellow vegetarians, recommend trying the beyond impossible burger here. Didn't expect to see it on the menu. Pleasantly surprised.

Only stopped by for drinks on a Saturday night. It's a nice little spot and the server was very nice. Drinks are affordable and right by the water. Good spot to stop by. Wish they had a little more seating is all.

Came in later on a Sunday evening and was happy to enjoy a few quality brews and maybe the best chips (fries) during the stay in Portland! Service was nice and the outdoor seating is well positioned next to the docks to look at all the fishing/lobster boats. Inside has a cool cavernous atmosphere and some mystique on the walls. Great place to start a trip ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

This is a great little pub with awesome food and good drinks and impeccable service. Our server was so nice and on top of everything, she made excellent recommendations and was there when you needed her and gave you time when you needed it. The fish and chips was fantastic and also tremendous! My mother got a bowl of fish chowder as the soup of the day, it was amazing and I swear this bowl was the size of a helmet and like 2/3 full (tremendous portion)!! We will definitely be back to this gem.
