EDIT 11/15/2021 - dropping from 5 stars to 2 stars. They are price gouging now. It used to be under $10 for a bowl of Pho Dac Biet -- it is now $16. A single order of egg rolls is now $8.50 for just 3. You can get 4 egg rolls for $6.00 at Pho Dalat. Also a "large" Pho Dac Biet at Pho Dalat is only $11.49, but here at Pho Oregon they're gouging at $16.00 -- capitalism takes me to Pho Dalat, sorry Pho Oregon. You're not THAT good. ORIGINAL REVIEW 06/2021 - Plenty of parking in back, next to a french Viet bakery shop, customer service is rude so you know the food is good. Great value for food, see attached pics. The pho dac biet is LITERALLY over three pounds of food and that was to go! Run down part of town so you know the food is really good. No WiFi, because staff is ensuring your food tastes good. No time for friendly chat. Bonus points when they slide the food dismissively across the table (I didn't dine in but observed other tables while waiting for my food to go order). They served Ngo Gai or sawtooth herb with the pho order, so bonus points for that. Also the soup temp'd at 163 F and that was after 20 minutes of driving from restaurant to home in one of those "hot cold bags". I didn't even have to reheat the soup like I do sometimes from other pho places even ones closer to home! Would return. Only criticism is that the front door doesn't squeak when you open / close it. Don't get WD-40, just keep focusing on the food 😘

Let me start out with the waiter. He must be the owners son because if he worked for me I'd smack his knuckles like uncle Nigel smacking the subscribe button. He had a total attitude. Swaggered around like a big lord on a small mountain. Was not engaging or pleasant, every movement he made dripped with haughtiness. He did his job, but there was absolutely nothing friendly or welcoming about him. And now on to the actual meat of the review. The Beef broth noodle dish I got was wonderful. The meat was deeply flavored and fall apart tender. One of the best stew broths I've had in ages. The noodles were easily separated in the bowl. The Spring Rolls and the sauce were great, tight and well wrapped as a caterpillar in a cocoon. The veggie dish was not only plentiful, but colorful and the condiment tray was well stocked. The decor was upscale Asian eighties, which is a perfect alternative for the Inner Portland upscale yuppie look. It looks, exactly like what it is. A place that not only caters to bumbling newcomers like myself, but a strong contingent of the Jade District. The menu reflects this historical demographic with a long and varied menu, much of which is, foreign to me. Coming here and slowly working through the menu would a daunting but delightful process. The food is worth the punk attitude of the waiter, who really needs to remember that people there are either paying the bills or working to get the bills paid. He is almost a caricature of the young, can't be bothered, too good for this job, son of an owner, archetype. I loved the fish by the way although the rock fountain out front seems to be the repository for used face masks.

if you don’t know what to order, go with Pho menu #1 Pho Oregon. Noodle and beef is so good and the soup has really rich flavor. Other menus are also nice.

Lovely dinner! The restaurant is very large and would be great for a large group or party. It was pretty crowded when we got there, but we were seated quickly. It was loud, tho, so be forewarned, if you have hearing issues. We started off with the fresh salad rolls and spring rolls. Very tasty. The fresh rolls were made with basil, which isn’t my favorite. I prefer cilantro in my salad rolls, but they were still good and packed with both chicken and shrimp. The peanut sauce was tasty, albeit a bit too runny for my taste. (I like a thicker peanut sauce) The spring rolls were excellent. I settled on the Chicken Pho and was pleased. The broth was flavorful and that’s the most important thing about pho, in my opinion. The beef pho was good, too. Lots of bean sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeños to add to your bowl. Lots of noodles, too! The menu is extensive!! There were an amazing array of Vietnamese dishes available. I should have been more adventurous in my choice, but I love pho so much, I needed to try it. Maybe next time. The waitstaff was very busy, but they were polite and hustled like no one’s business! I definitely recommend this place, and hope I find time to get back to try some of the other dishes.

This place is great for Pho. We had the #1 Pho option on the menu in order to taste from everything a little. Flavors were really good!! I don’t recommend the spring rolls (salad rolls on the menu), the rice pepper wasn’t fresh (it was hard to eat) when they were served to us and the peanut sauce wasn’t good enough to salvage them. Once we got our food, waiters did not came back to our table, so if you need to pick up some to go containers, there are some next to the counter and whenever you are ready to pay, you need to walk to the counter as well. For 2 pho orders and some spring rolls we paid 43.00 There is plenty of parking in the back of the building.

We got shrimp salad rolls and chicken pho. Both were very delicious. The salad rolls tasted really fresh and the shrimp was tender and tasty. The chicken pho is the best I've had in Portland so far, the broth was flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the chicken was delicious. This place definitely met the hype.

I’m visiting Portland and needed a good meal. I was a bit skeptical because I walked in through the back door but omg…everything was so perfectly balanced and delicious. I’ve had Pho before but this one was the best I’ve ever had. The spicy sauce that is on the table is 👌🏼👌🏼 that leaves a little kick on your lips that leaves you wanting more. I inevitably did choke on it but still wanted more. Will go again before I leave.

This restaurant makes my favorite pho in Portland. I tried 3 dishes recently and loved all of them: Banh Mi Bo Kho (beef stew with baguette), Banh Xeo (sizzling crepe with shrimp and pork), and Banh Uot Nem Nuong (rice pancake with grilled pork patty). I go 20 minutes out of my way to eat here and I’m never disappointed.

First thing, I saw a lot of asians there, so that put me at ease. Second, the menu is expansive. Third, the accompaniments were plenty. I normally have to order more basil etc., but not here. Hot tea automatically comes with the meal, and the service is prompt. I will come again.

We ate with a big party, but the service was still nice and the food service is fast! I love this place a lot, there’s a lot of flavour in each bite, and it’s delicious! Lots of steak in the soup, generous portions, and the Salad Rolls are fresh! Not too crowded, but the vibe is just right to have a conversation and a good bite! I recommend checking this place for a good time, plus the decor is super cute!

Visiting the city from out of state. Pho was okay. A bit overpriced. Language barrier? As they did not get my sister's order and she had to wait for them to make it after waiting 30 min.

I think this place has one of the best bowls of soup in town. Their broth is delicious and it comes out to you fast.

Their pho is good. The noodles for Bun Bo Hue is not great. Must get their fried sweet bread! It’s like Johnny Cake. I suggest employees wear hats as I did see a hair.
