One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. At first we were intimidated by the price, but found Canard to be unpretentious and completely worth the money. We spent only $60 each including tip for a drink, oysters, bread, a side, a main, and a dessert. Considering everything was extremely delicious, I’d say our money was well spent. We ordered the duck frites and the duck pancakes and both were incredible. The duck pancakes were so interesting so if you’re wanting something adventurous I’d say go for it! The Paris Brest for dessert was very fresh and made in-house. I wish we were hungry enough to try a few more of the desserts! The staff was so friendly! It isn’t a super comfortable place, however, as it is mostly bar/high-top seating.

Terrific food at a fun restaurant. Five of us at an outdoor table, shared 6 plates plus 3 desserts and we were stuffed. Our waiter was great. Everything was delicious. The Foie Gras Dumplings were amazing. Good drinks too.

My husband and I visited in Aug 2021. We had the steamed cheese burgers, chicken wings, and duck frites. We enjoyed everything but thought the chicken wings and duck frites were the best. We also had the pine nut buster parfait for dessert and it was excellent. You actually get a mini pinecone to eat. My only regret is not having more room in my stomach to try their other dishes. We sat near the kitchen and got to watch the chefs prepare the dishes. It was great!

The chef's table dining is fascinating. Goes on to show the effort that goes into every dish. The chefs are really busy producing dishes of high quality for a bunch of people. The experience to watch the dishes being prepared was as fun as eating them too. Surely would love to come back someday. The server Nic was really friendly and offered great service. Overall a nice experience.

The waitstaff explained each dish, which are served family style. Everyone gets a few bites of five or six dishes, and they are all incredible. Split a parfait with your bestie -- they are very generous portions!

Relaxed atmosphere and chill vibes. Chicken wings are yum. Sliders and fries looked good also. Had the duck stack which is strange but good. Great wine. Worth a visit.

Overall great dinning experience. I enjoyed watching the chefs enthusiastically prepare the food. We ordered five dishes for dinner and we enjoyed most of them especially the Oeufs En Mayonnaise and Pan roasted cod. The duck stack is a bit disappointing as it is salty and sweat. We would consider visiting again in the future if there are new dishes.

My friend and I enjoyed the dinner time sitting in the chief table watching they prepared all the fantastic dishes. Duck stack is awesome and the foie gras is stunning.

Canard was delicious. We sat at the chef’s table and it was so fun. Oysters, corn, salad, desserts, all of it was mouthwatering. A down-to-earth yet fancy place to eat. The staff were super friendly, playful, and attentive, making the experience all the better.

We just finished our first meal at Canard celebrating a birthday. The servers were great and the food was superb. We enjoyed the albacore tataki, steamed burgers, garlic fries, chicken wings, and the duck stack (I HIGHLY recommend this item). We finished the meal off with confetti pancakes and the marionberry parfait. Our experience at this restaurant was great from start to finish and we can't wait to try the Oregon City location.

My favorite was the wagyu brisket cuz the wagyu beef was so tender and flavorful. Foie gras dumplings had good flavor but the skin was too thick. Fried chicken wing did not have many flavors and the mustard sauce was weird for me. We didn't add foie gras to our duck stack so it was lacking flavors too. I really like their menu but the execution was not as good as I expected.

Super indulgent and creative menu, Canard is a must visit place for us whenever we’re in Portland. Foie gras dumplings are a most, the halibut which is new in the menu really surprised us, finally you can’t leave without tasting the duck stack, it will blow your mind…

My husband and I ate at Canard during a recent trip to Portland and sat at the bar, which made the experience even more enjoyable for us. The staff were incredibly friendly with great service and our food was just sublime. I’d highly recommend stopping here for anyone looking for a really great night out with excellent food and service!

One of the fine restaurants in Portland! It perfectly blends a great time with awesome food that is incredibly tasty. The place is small but does feature a fair amount of walk up seating. We went without a reservation at 6pm and got one of the last open walk up seats. Overall amazing experience would absolutely go again!

By far my favorite place to go when in Downtown Portland! This was the 3rd time I've been here. I am always one to try new dishes but I've gotten the same thing every time and it never disappoints. The duck stack is a sweet, savory and has a little kick of spice. Such a complex dish that I've never experienced before. This time I decided to also get the Albacore Crudo which was also excellent. For some reason I was not expecting it to be served in a bowl, I was expecting it to look like a roll or something along those lines but that's on me. Either way the flavors were melting in my mouth. I recommend this place to everyone I speak with while I'm here. Surprised to hear a lot of locals did not even know about them!

"Never have I tasted food this good" said my husband as we savored every morsel of the foie gras dumplings. The sugar snap pea and asparagus was my favorite dish though. The flavor combination so unique, yet comforting, and very satisfying. I could eat this every day, happily. We always enjoy sitting in the kitchen section and watching these skilled chefs create dishes that they are proud of and that taste so damn good.

If you’re looking for an amazing meal look no further. The seasonal specials on the menu showcase the best of the Pacific Northwest and highlights the freshest locally sourced ingredients with a down to earth French spin. To match the amazing food Canard has THE BEST HOSPITALITY in all of Portland. As soon as you walk in you feel at home and the decor is Devine! Lastly, don’t sleep on the desserts, they will knock your socks off. Can’t wait to bring my family of four back and have another unforgettable meal. Thank you Canard!!

Fantastic meal sitting at the kitchen bar. Highlights were the scallops and crab over lobster creamed corn, duck pancakes, and salad with candied pistachios, nectarines, and lots of sheep’s cheese. Oh and of course the steam burger and chicken wings.

It’s been a while since I had a dining experience that was this good in all aspects. The service was outstanding- everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent- the duck stack, the stuffed mushrooms, and the pumpkin pie parfait were my favorites. And the atmosphere was lively and cozy. We left feeling full and happy. Definitely dining here again.
