Good place to have sushi with family and friends. Sushi rolls are properly packed but are sliced too thin. Different orders are served on the same plate which makes it hard to track and share aroung a large table. Gratuity is automatically added for parties of 6 or more. Staff is friendly and attentive.

I have to say I've passed by this little gem that's nestled so well into the neighborhood many times, it's easy to miss but A MUST TRY for sure!! From the peaceful outside seating with water feature backgrounds to the beautiful ambiance inside, this place feels so welcoming and upscale cozy, if you know what I mean! We tried out the majority of the happy hour menu. The green beans and California rolls are hands down the best I've ever had. Everything we tried on the menu was delicious and the prices are super typical for happy hour. The rest of the menu appeared to be pretty affordable as well. Can't wait to go back!!

The wontons were delicious and the avocado roll was impressively large! I was a little let down by the cocktail menu, no gin cocktail on the entire menu.

People should travel to visit this place. Great cocktails. Amazing food. Extensive list of Japanese Whiskeys. Somehow I lived in Sellwood for over a decade without noticing it. Now it will be a regular spot for us.

Zenbu Lounge is a sushi and bar that rocks a quintessentially Portland vibes. And their Halloween decor is absolutely on point. Get the ginger chicken musubi and Brussel sprouts - you won’t regret it.

Really like this place. They're really nice. Old Fashioned's are solid.

Update: Been back many times and honestly the food and service just keeps getting better. Cannot say enough about the wait staff here and the owner. Everyone is so friendly and sitting outside feels like a brief refuge from PDX static. Must order: Tuna Poppers, Salmon Skin Roll, Nigiri set, anything off the specials board! Bartender provided awesome service. Sushi was pretty good, appreciated the suggestions and specials. Had order envy not getting the salmon collar. Tofu sushi was quite good. Will be back.

My favorite sushi restaurant in Portland! High quality sushi, amazing specials, great ambiance and yummy drinks. They have such a great outdoor area, and welcoming for kids too.

The first time I went to Zenbu I was REALLY into it. But I realize that place is a little inconsistent. I have been three times in total so not that much data. BUT I would recommend their green beans and tofu dish, Sellwood roll, and wontons. The first couple times I had their salmon nigiri, I was INTO IT. The fish was the perfect temperature. The last time I went, the rice was a little hard. Overall, this place is good and I will continue to go. Just a little inconsistent with how the food tastes. Definitely get there early because they do sell out of stuff.

AMAZING Sushi!!! Since before, during and after the covid lockdowns, me and my family have been supporting them with our business from dine in to take out whenever we have extra cash! It’s a great place to eat! Sushi is expensive, but to no fault of Zenbu— that’s just how much good sushi costs. The prices are the same as any other real sushi restaurant. If you want cheap sushi, conveyor belt is fine! But this stuff at Zenbu is top quality!

Fantastic Japanese themed lounge with great food, atmosphere, and service. I'm fortunate to have a friend who knows this part of town well, otherwise I may never have found this on my own. This is definitely a place I want to return to. Be sure to catch their happy hour specials, one drink purchase required.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I feel like we ordered everything on the menu.

Fabulous ambiance but casual, local dining and bar. The food is delicious and has a unique flare and lots of flavor. We did wait a bit and we got there pretty early, but it was raining and we were not dressed for the outdoor patio. The staff was great about keeping us informed of the status and we did not wait unusually long. It also came in right on the timing they estimated. I was only sad they were out of the tuna, so we will try again to taste that dish.

Love this place! I always go for Sunday "happy hour". Food is fantastic. I love their California rolls and gyoza. Super fresh, and always delicious. Atmosphere is fun but relaxed. Cute little outdoor patio available too!

It was our first visit. The dark wood dining room was cozy. They made fancy cocktails. The sushi was very good and reasonably priced. We'll be back again soon.

It's hard to justify going here with saburo so close. The prices are misleading because the portions are quite small and a lot of the rolls came falling apart. My standards might be too high because I got back from Japan recently, but I wouldn't recommend going here for the sushi. The drinks were good but expensive and the server was also really busy and not very attentive. Do not rec
