I went on a free museum day hosted by the Smithsonian, but noticed it is only $3/ person to enter, so not bad for museum pricing. I would definitely go back to catch what I missed on the second floor. They had a glassblowing and architectural glass exhibit on and a door knob room which was interesting. Definitely a stop for historians and architectural enthusiasts!

Great work preserving the history of the area. It is a museum but they also provide walking tours. Due to Covid and the winter season they will most likely start the guided walking tours again in the spring. The museum contains space for three different exhibits. You can pay a single entry admission fee or become a member and receive free admission, discounted admission to all educational programs, members only events, and entry to other local museums. Great way to support local history

Went to a lecture on tall buildings and enjoyed a brief tour of the museum. If history is your thing, and Portland is the subject, it's worth the stop

The walking tour around the neighborhood hosted by them is amazing. You get the chance to learn more about the history of the community and stories behind buildings. Definitely recommend it.

At the time of our visit there was a fascinating exhibit on Minor White’s photographs of buildings that are no longer standing, with some incredible salvaged parts of said buildings alongside. The staff are incredibly knowledgable and obviously passionate about what they do and stand for. There certainly needs to be more awareness and preservation of the city’s prominent and important buildings - whether that importance is socially or historically!

A small museum of interest to people who enjoy history, architecture, and beautiful objects. They mount some very interesting special exhibits and are friendly and willing to answer questions. I visited on a weekday, but had no trouble finding open parking spaces on the street.

Fantastic collection of vintage brass doorknobs are the permanent side exhibition. Exquisite workmanship! Knowledgable, friendly volunteers with a family history of Portland's booming 1800's are ready to share details of the city's architectural trends. To avoid disappointment, call first to see if the main exhibit room is open.

Got information and got needed photos for an assignment, even though they were going to close. Also the place is pact with all sorts of historical information about Portland Oregon. highly recommended for an in depth tour of Portland like you have never seen.

Great walking tour; the docent was very knowledgeable. The stories behind the buildings and builders are very compelling. It is a bit spicy walking in downtown Portland and the docent managed things very respectfully and safely.
