I've shopped here multiple times and I'm confident in saying that these people are not racist. Please continue to support small businesses, the protesters can't even get their story straight, and their claims are based of racism are not accurate. They call everyone who isn't on their side "racist" and they'll target you as well. Plus they are spreading rumors that these people serve expired food, please don't believe this! It's just more of their bullshit.

The guy who normally runs the place, Props to you! I seriously could care less about going Anywhere else anymore, because the guy is such an awesome Cashier. This is my favorite little quick store. All because of how great that guy is

Came in to purchase some snacks, one of the employees (I don't know if he was the owner) used anti-white racial slurs against me and called me trash. Maybe he confused me with somebody else, it is a rough area, but that kind of rudeness to a customer is unacceptable. Needless to say I left and won't be returning.

Always nice.they have a really good selection of food and other necesseties. Icecream,premade sandwiches to motor oil and detergent... its a great convienence store .....glad they are there especially since 7-11 closed down on 82nd and flavel.....

My sister and I went for a walk. While there,shopping in the store.. The restroom was needed.. Unfortunately,the use of it was DENIED! ??? I can't believe the new owner refuses it ..! WOW. I don't have to put money into a store that chooses not to help a neighbor out...

Update: I absolutely do not recommend this store, particularly if you are there to use the ATM. They have a Hispanic employee who will run the old "you hit my friend's car" scam if he thinks he can squeeze some money out of you. He did it to me. Never going back.

Know the place is OK at best everything's overpriced Except.. for the beer in the cigarets. 10 bucks for a torch that they sell for 5 just up the road That kind of thing However every once in a while they have a good hat or 2. When did selection of cigarets which they were only recently allowed to sell again and They charge you to use debit card.

I guess it's great for the location due to it being the only store within small mile walking range. The prices here are VERY high compared to other stores I've been too. Unless you are super-hungry be ready to spend for over priced food. Now as for the staff, that's another story. ..lol I personally went through being treated low for returning cans and bottles from the older guy there who thinks he's the owner. The have this strong policy about their returns bottles and cans, they must be from this store. He even tried to charge me 5 cent extra for a 99ct ARIZONA drink..then got mad cause i bought it to his attention..

Checkers Mart is a great place to shop overall. Numerous employees were available to assist you with comfort and positivity if you found yourself struggling. The store is meticulously organized and clean. In terms of convenience, this place is both favorable and convenient. I am certain that I will come again.

If you have health problems stay away from this place.. cuz it's bad for business for you to sit out side the store and try to recover.. they will give you 2 mins to sit in the shade and ask you to leave even though it's obvious your having problems.. maybe because of the area there store is in they took one look at me and thought I was a drugy.. cuz I'm collecting cans.. and a box with a small blanket and God knows what else.. And don't bother asking them for paper cuz they apparently don't know what that is or they just look at you and judge you.. for carrying a big black bag of cans and a small box with a blanket in it and God knows what else.. Yep I live out of a small box with a blanket in it and a small shoulder strap bag.. Basically if you're not there to spend money keep walking.. And hopefully if you are having problems you have a cel phone cuz this area no one will ask if your ok or if you need help..

Disabled people beware! They will refuse your service if you are wearing a mask. So much for personal choice. I didn't want to find out what kinds of exciting diseases I could catch from here, so they won't have my business.

Don't shop here they sell out dated food ,gross and hard.and will not refund your money

Be wary they will charge you a $0.50 fee for not paying with cash. Even though you pay with debit card which is an illegal fee at that point. Credit card surcharge can be applied to credit cards only. And I was specifically asked if I was paying credit or debit. Also their overall pricing is significantly higher than average.
